Little Pine Ratings and Reviews
Little pine is by far my favorite vegan restaurant in the world! I’m typically there anywhere from 2-6 times a month. The food is great. I am sadden to say that their service has been awful the last few times. I noted on my reservation that we were there for my husbands birthday and no one commented on it.
Little Pine was even better than I hoped! The food was down right amazing. We had the lemon poppy seed pancakes and tofu scramble. I didn't want the meal to end. I can't wait to go back; although it's going to be hard choosing something new because those pancakes...
Service was excellent, easy parking, super value, very good vibes. Go. Now.
I frequent Little Pine often and although this is a vegan restaurant I myself am not a vegan. You don’t need to be to enjoy the healthy taste sensations - it’s lovely! I highly recommend reservations as it is a small and busy restaurant. Also. 100% of the profits go to animal rights organizations.
I eat a vegan diet and it is great to see restaurant dedicated to such an important cause. Unfortunately none of the enthusiasm reflected in their Instagram feeds, etc. came through when I had brunch there. The server barely acknowledged us and mumbled when he did speak (sorry to inconvenience you, cool guy). He essentially ignored us on a morning when the place was not packed. I had to flag someone down to get a simple coffee refill. The food was fine but served lukewarm. I'm all for the effort but would stay home and cook my own vegan fare next time.
Excellent vegan food, so good even your meat-loving friends will love it. We especially loved the arancini; the smashed potatoes (simple but delish), the mac and cheese, the avocado salad. And the desserts were unbelievable. The s'mores were among my most favorite ever. Well done. We will be back!
Delicious and accessible to non-veg folk. Food is perfectly executed. Service was prompt. A little pricey (went from dinner, so that might have something to do with it) for the portion sizes, but it's good enough that it doesn't really matter. Excellent noise level -- you can talk comfortably but not overhear other peoples' convos.
It was a little tight as the room was full and small tables are perfect for drinks but too small for 3 plates and 3 coffees. We juggled a lot. In spite of that spatial detail the restaurant is warm and inviting, simple decor with a woodsy images in the room. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, and out food was delicious. 2 people of my party did not feel comfortable on the bare metal stools but I used the banquette side of the table and was very comfortable.
We really enjoyed our food. Service was very slow to come to our table (15+ minutes before the waitress came to take our drink orders), but after that it was okay. Our outside table was close to the restroom and had flies and the smells from the women's room were overpowering at times. Adding a row of plants between the table and the restrooms might help. Next time we'll wait for an inside table.
A very surprisingly tasty vegan menu. First time going after hearing about it since opened. It was welcoming after all. Our server and service was efficient and spectacular. We felt at home with the menu. And whoa, the pizza that I warn my clients about haha !!!! Great! There’s Phys. Ed. Studio personal training and classes around the corner Silverlake/Echo Park for this sort of foodie damage haha (shameless plug)
Little Pine was a bit of a mixed bag when you throw in the environment. There was no parking, the tables were very small and close to each other and a bit noisy. However, the food was amazing and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys vegan at it's finest. The biscuits and gravy as well as their pretzel sliders were very good. The hostess was most pleasant as was our waiter. Side note was that I went for my birthday brunch and sadly they didn't even bring a donut with a candle and only the hostess wished us a happy birthday after mentioning it in the reservations and them being reminded via my husband. This would not be a place I would go for any celebrations. That being said, I would say you should try this little gem for their amazing food.
In town for the weekend and knew I wanted to get my hands on as much amazing vegan food as I could and Little Pine did not disappoint. The picatta was truly great. Super satisfying. Loved the mozzarella and watermelon salad. My ginger turmeric latte was something I will try to recreate at home. Mac and cheese was delish too! I'm so glad this place exists.
We thought Little Pine was good, not great. The service is friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is charming. The food is very beautifully presented. But the flavors are just average. We had seven dishes amongst the four of us, so we had a pretty good selection. Nothing really stood out. Maybe it was a bad night.
ALL proceeds benefit animal welfare. The food is fantastic (Lemon Poppyseed Pancakes, Biscuits and Gravy with an Arugula Salad, Housemade breakfast sausage is what we ordered), the server was informative amd happy, the place is clean. Top notch restaurant experience all the way around. Get here, enjoy and lift your heart.
This place is a complete blessing. They actually donate all profits to help animals, how amazing is that? The food is simply outstanding and their service is too. I honestly couldn't recommend this restaurant any higher. I would strongly suggest making reservations through Opentable as they are quite popular.
I came here on date night and had a lovely meal. The staff was super friendly and made great suggestions for wine/food options. We order the potato leek soup and broccoli acrancini balls for starters. I cannot stop thinking about that soup. It was incredible. For our mains we got the sausage and polenta and the mac and cheese. Everything we ordered was so delicious. Looking forward to the next visit to try more off the menu.
