Little Nonna’s is an Italian-American eatery in Center City’s bustling Midtown Village. Inspired by the “red sauce” family-owned ristorantes of Italian immigrants, Chef Turney offers thoughtful interpretations of homestyle Italian-American dishes with an all-Italian wine list and handcrafted cocktails. The cozy 40-seat restaurant is evocative of an Italian grandmother’s living room, circa 1950, featuring vintage lace in the windows, hanging antique copper pots and an outdoor garden that seats an additional 40 guests.

My coworker and I had received a gift certificate so we scheduled lunch at Little Nonna's. We were really thrilled with the food we had! It was restaurant week so the lunch included 3 courses that were each really delicious. We went at a great time--not crowded, and the waitress was very attentive.

We will definitely be returning!

We arrived nearly a half-hour early for our 6:00 pm pre-theater dinner and were seated right away. Our service was excellent as was the food. Sunday gravy, Eggplant appetizer, pesto and the rigatoni were all delicious. Be prepared to take home what you can't eat. Oh, the canoli's were great too.

Every bite was delicious. I was expecting a typical Italian place , which would have been fine, but this was significantly better. Even the croutons were fabulous (made with polenta). Our table ordered the caesar salad, eggplant appetizer, roasted chicken, sphegetti and meatballs, and shrimp. Everyone was happy and took home a bag of leftovers. Recommended to make reservations - even on weeknights - as the restaurant is rather small.

My only complaint was they only serve pre mixed drinks so unless you order a pre mixed drink you have only wine . I ordered a straight Vodka which was the worse vodka i ever tasted as it was the lowest quality .
The staff and Service was excellent.

Great food and atmosphere! My husband loves the sausage and it’s replaced our favorite Italian restaurant as number 1 in the book now! The only downside is that outside of appetizers, there isn’t many options if you don’t eat meat which is unfortunate. My husband loves the place but for me there are only 3 items on the menu I can eat as a pescatarian. If your a vegetarian there is only one. I wish they would at least indicate what dishes they could skip the meat in.

Second time being there and the food on both occasions was phenomenal. Best gnocchi I have ever had! Meatballs are unbelievable. The arancini was delicious and the garlic bread was wonderful. My hubby had the “Sunday Gravy” and loved it! Every one of us left full and wanting to return again! Oh and definitely have some sangria while you dine!

Our dinner at Little Nonna's couldn't have been more enjoyable. The service and ambiance were cheerful and warm and the food was delicious (definitely recommend their classic spaghetti & meatballs). My fiancée and I came in for dinner on the day we got engaged and it was the perfect romantic spot. Cheers!

I had made a reservation for four. When we showed up the hostess said I made one for only 2 people. When I just received this open table request for feedback, it clearly showsd I had reserved a table for four. Because we had no four top reserved, we had to sit in the outside terrace area that was still wet from an afternoon of rain. We decided we coukd sit on our raincoats. The other problem with this restaurant is the waistaff’s overall attitude which we found pretentious and unfriendly. When asked simple questions about wine or a specific dish, the response was almost like a chiding. The food was all very good but not good enough for me to ever return to this unwelcoming restaurant.

Had an almost perfect 7 fishes dinner.each course was well balanced and delicious but the warm seafood salad was too acidic. The frito misto and bacala were the favorites along with crab spaghetti. The shrimp was semi raw but really tasty. It was returned and replaced withe the apologetic manager comping our desserts. Gorgeous and rustic back patio. Excellent 50 dollar value! Our second year doing it and will be back again..

Usually love this restaurant but food was barely average and the 7 fish dinner came out all at the same time. I understand they want to turn over the tables but for almost $600 shouldn't have to feel rushed. Never again

We had lunch for a holiday city adventure. I highly recommend the arancini balls as well as the meatballs. We shared our the appetizers as well as our entrees. The vodka pasta and mushroom gnocchi were spectacular. Can't wait to come back for dinner sometime.

I was sadly underwhelmed. The decor of the restaurant was warm and inviting, sadly the service was not. The name itself makes you think of going to nonnas for a yummy meal and feeling warmed and loved through food. The experience as a whole just didn’t live up to that though. Sauce for the spaghetti was delicious. Meatballs were not our favorite.

Disappointing. We searched for BYOB restaurants and this was listed so we made reservations, but were disappointed when we got there and the waitress said that they were not a BYOB. They would open our wine for a $25.00 corkage fee though. They're menu list looked good; however did not meet expectations. We ordered the Stracciatella for starters and the hand pulled burrata was skimpy and the grilled bread was burned. Our entrees had these funny crunchy taste/texture and very little sauce/gravy, that it made the dish dry.

We sat in the courtyard and it was absolutely amazing. Delicious food and terrific ambiance. Even with a warmer night in December, the courtyard was a perfect temperature to take off your jacket and be totally comfortable. Had the outdoor feel but did not feel like it was cold at all! I had the spaghetti & meatballs and wish I could eat them every night for the rest of my life lol! Definitely a place I will come back to to bring friends and out of towners!
