Excellent meal. I would definitely return.
Loved the entire restaurant! Food and service were amazing.
I had the Sunday sauce which was delicious. I also loved the meatball.
Service while friendly is challenged in a tight space. My companion sent his pork chop back to be cooked more and we waited a - very long time - 15 minutes+ to get it back. Food quality is excellent though a little on the expensive side. That said, after much confusion regarding service, no offer was made to make amends except - a heartfelt apology from our frazzled waitress.
Great place to enjoy original and excellently prepared dishes
Only thing I can comment on negatively is the slightly limited menu. Should be more choices but the food is very good, service was very good and the ambience was as well.
Small delicious menu that will fit anyone's desires. Great Sauce and Sunday Gravy is a meat filled meal.
Incredible food...tasted just like home made. I am very snobby about my Italian food...Little Nonna's gets an A+
Little Nonna's never disappoints! The food is great, the menu basic but varied and the servers great. The only downside is the noise level. VERY loud inside, and the kitchen was especially loud when I was there last-they kept dropping dishes and pans! Often we had to repeat what we were saying. Maybe try not to drop everything :)
But worth the trip every time.
The food, service, cleanliness was excellent!!
My husband and I look forward to the next time. I highly recommend to make a reservation today to try the well prepared food and you must try the desserts.
We first went to Little Nonna's about two years ago and had a fantastic experience - the food was excellent as was the service and ambiance. We have been back four or five times and, with each trip, we have been more and more disappointed. This time was the last straw for us. While the food remains top notch, our service was utterly lacking. We were seated in the patio, which is a step below sitting in the dining room - the seating is uncomfortable with benches that are too high for the tables and make you feel as though you are towering over those seated in the chairs. In addition, the large lamps did not throw enough heat to feel comfortably warm on a chilly night. Our server did not offer drinks first or talk to us about the menu. He simply walked up with his pad and asked if we were ready to order (after being seated and then ignored for much too long). Our drinks were allowed to sit unfilled until a different server noticed our empty glasses. Even our check was tallied incorrectly at first. While we love the food here, we will be looking for a new favorite spot in Philadelphia.
The hostess had us seated right away and we didn’t have to wait on the waitress. It was moderately noisy. Despite being a small restaurant, your table felt like it had enough space. General vibe was cute and cozy. The drinks were excellent with lots of layers to the flavor. The appetizers and food came out at an appropriate temperature in a timely fashion. Risotto balls had a great crunchy texture with melted middle of cheese. Gnocchi was excellent in addition to the shrimp pasta.
The food is always delicious. It’s a small location so it can be noisy.
Little Nonnas is a cozy, warm restaurant, located in the gayborhood of Philadelphia.
Food was delicious and service was great.
Seating is close, but this adds to the cozy ambience. So glad that we picked this spot
for a birthday celebration. I will be back again for the amazing gravy, shaved salad & meatballs. Thanks Little Nonna's for a lovely
Authentic Italian, small and cozy. Great tiramisu.
In the city for the Orchestra
Coming back to Center City for a visit after 35 years. This is a wonderful Italian neighborhood restaurant- excellent service, delicious Italian food. Highly recommend. Make reservations- you won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic food and service in a very quaint setting.
Exceptional. Food is the best Italian you will ever have. Service is wonderful and atmosphere is great. Only thought is maybe the music.. it was modern pop.. would seem like old school Sam Cooke or Frank would be perfect... but that’s just a personal preference/thought.
It is quite a tight fit. I could tolerate that. I felt rushed by the server, as though they needed my table.
I ordered a chicken parmigiana sandwich. It was too large to pick up and eat. Also the chicken was heavily breaded, over cooked and dry. I could not eat it. I boxed it to go, and it sat in my refrigerator until I threw it out. I expected better for a common dish in an Italian restaurant.
My lunch guest enjoyed her meal—a pork and pasta dish.
It was excellent. Had a great dinner, the room was wonderful. would recommend to a friend. Food was excellent. Service was slightly slow, but overall a great experience
Good food, great meatballs and red gravy. Order the Sunday special on Friday and it was excellent - could not finish it all. Server was in training but would never know based on the fine service quality. Wow garlic bread and OMG to the Clams in linguini. We will be back...
Great as always and the staff was nice to participate in my Birthday celebration.
Terrific food and ambiance. Really a special place to dine in Philadelphia. Had the garlic bread, eggplant parm antipasti, spaghetti and meatballs, rigatoni alla vodka, and capped it off with hazelnut cannolis. Busy service on a weekend night makes the experience feel slightly rushed since there is a limited number of tables. Recommend starting dinner on the earlier side.
the perfect little spot for a date night or a nice dinner with friends! the appetizers were to die for, and our waitress was delightful! she helped pick out the wine as well as my entree which was impeccable. super cozy atmosphere with the string of lights and comfort food. can’t wait to go back!
We had a wonderful dinner in Philadelphia at Little Nonna’s. We would highly recommend this restaurant if you are staying Mid town. Our waitress was extremely attentive and the manager was very courteous. Highly recommend the rigatoni a la vodka and linguine mussels and spaghetti and meatballs. Portions were excellent. Thank you for making this an enjoyable first dinner in Philadelphia.
Love this adorable and quaint restaurant. It has an incredible vibe, soft glowy twinkle lights, excellent food and welcoming and wonderful service. Can’t wait to go back!
First time visiting on Valentines Day and the restaurant surpassed all expectations! We sat in the heated garden the ambiance and decor was amazing! The hostess was super nice and accommodating, out server was great as well. The food was incredible I will definitely be visiting again!
We were running a little late for our valentines date, and called to let them know. The hostess greeted us when we got there and she sincerely thanked us for calling ahead and letting them know. We were told they had seating available inside and on their heated patio, and my wife excitedly chose the heated patio. we walked throught a brick walled alleyway to sit out on the covered and heated patio. there were string lights and i think i remember ornamental iron overhead, with brick walls. The patio had so much charm. the propane heaters, with flames visible in the tubes, kept the place comfortable.
The menu was limited for valentines day, and we did love everthing we ordered. Service was good, prompt, not overbearing, came at the right times. We will definitely be back.
Being that travel all year with different destinations. All eat in a lot of places. This place had perfect setting and atmosphere. And the food to die for. I am really glad that I experienced this one place with my family that I flew in from Miami for this weekend. A must try.
Must get the meatballs!!! They were fabulous!!! Nice small intimate atmosphere for a great date night and food!!!
Spaghetti and meatballs were out of this world!
Delicious food & wonderful service. Menu varied with many interesting choices. Highly recommend & definitely will be going back.
Loved the atmosphere and the food was great!
My mother and I celebrated our Christmas Holiday gift together after a show at the Merriam theater. We had never been to Little Nonna's, just came across it on line, liked the reviews. So we decided to try. We loved the small atmosphere and how we were greeted from the moment we opened the door. The food was fantastic and the service was just as good. We can't wait for the next opportunity we have to enjoy another meal at Little Nonna's and brings some more of our family. Thank You !
We sat at the chef's table by the kitchen where we could watch the chef. Amazing and delicious!
I have been dining here a few times and never been disappointed with the food and service!
