Service was excellent...even better than the yummy food!
Food was amazing. Waiter was always hurried. Felt like they wanted you in and out so they could use the table.
Every experience here is wonderful. A warm and fun environment with great food and attentive staff. I’ll be back many times.
We sat in the Garden, which has true character and makes you feel like you’re in Europe.
The food was excellent and tasted homemade from the fabulous appetizers to the hearty entrees.
A tasting trip back to old world Italy with a contemporary twist! Delizioso!
Our table was available right away!! The food was fantastic!!! I had a ratatouille moment. My Grandmother and Aunt were born in Italy and I felt like I was at Sunday dinner !! Everything was awesome!! Our server was good !! Could be more personable!! But overall she was good !!! Highly recommended!! Will not be disappointed!!
Lovely little place and reliably good food. The wait staff is efficient.
Little Nonnas is by far one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The food is amazing, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the ambiance is perfect. I had the rice balls which melt in your mouth, the garlic bread which is a must and the rigatoni vodka (which wasn't as good as usual). However I have brought many of my friends here and gotten them hooked! This is a must!! Highly recommend and make a reservation or come early it's always packed!
We ordered a lamb dish and there was only a small slice of lamb at the bottom of the dish. We asked for more and thankfully our waitress was kind enough to provide that for us.
Awesome service, food, and staff. This is my go to date night restaurant.
Food was amazing! Great experience for my friend celebrating her birthday and first time in philly!
Would not recommend… ambiance was nice, but food quality was subpar and service left much to be desired.
It was “ok” Italian. The place is, as advertised, little, with a small number of tables. It reminded me of many of the elbow-to-elbow restaurants we’ve visited in New York City. The menu is small...limited number of items...but what they offer is hot and well-prepared. We’ve had much better Italian food elsewhere but this was as mentioned “ok”. The ambiance is nice...chatter all around but not too noisy. Our salads and pasta (shared entree) were good-sized and not too pricey.
It was a good meal perfect for before the play. Along with a nice carafe of red wine. It was cozy
Small restaurant, too many tables cramped into a small area. Foods was ok, nothing special. Arrived at the appointed time and were left standing inside the door waiting for a table to become available, the hostess said " it shouldn't be long but could be a while " . No effort made to make the wait less uncomfortable. The food was just ok, and while the waitress was friendly and polite, the check was brought before the main course was finished and without being asked if we wanted desserts. Not overly expensive but by no means value for money.
Food was delicious and the service was excellent. A little cramped but we still really enjoyed our dinner
Stuffed meatballs with polenta was great with bread with"garlic butter". I shared this with my partner and we were both satisfied after. The tiramisu was different. Tasted more like cookies and cream. I like my tiramisu so this isn't the authentic one. Sangria was juice
Friendly staff, willing to answer questions. I enjoy the smaller menu because it just means what they do, they do it well. Suggest the wild mushroom arancini - delicious. the lobster fra diavolo was awesome. Nice ambience, small place and at a reasonable price.
the food was cold and the pasta wasn't cooked correctly
The best I can say is that the food was good, not fantastic, but above average, and if everything else had matched up to the food, I might have considered returning and recommending this restaurant. However, the service was pretty terrible. We had multiple waitstaff throughout our meal, a different person taking our order, bringing our drinks, bringing our food (which took an awfully long time to come), and finally bringing the check. And we never did get any bread, despite requesting it, which we shouldn’t have had to do. I’m not a high maintenance diner, and I don’t expect perfection, or anything close to it. I’m usually just happy with the basics and very easy going about mistakes made, but I need to feel like there’s at least an attempt to give good service, and I didn’t get that feeling from Little Nonna’s – which I really wanted to like after reading the many good reviews and having previously not being able to get a reservation when we attended other shows at the Kimmel Center theaters (it was Hamilton this time and I do highly recommend that – it was AWESOME!). I may give Little Nonna’s the benefit of the doubt, assume it was just a bad night and give them another chance, but I’m sorry to say that I just cannot recommend the restaurant based on this visit.
Smaller menu but everything was very well prepared and delicious.
Will come again
Loved this restaurant last year, not so much this time. We were stuck in a back, covered outdoor area. And we noticed mice. When I mentioned it upon leaving, the woman in the kitchen said that she knew. My water glass was broken with a sharp edge. Just disappointed this time.
The courtyard seating is beautiful, i'm really glad I sat out there. The pasta was so good and perfectly cooked. However, my waiter didn't introduce himself and was super curt, antipasto special had only one type of cheese, very 'American' style meatballs (they're huge, dense, and stuffed with cheese), the Sunday Gravy was nothing to write home about. I'm sad I chose this restaurant to celebrate my anniversary at and I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Timing with our reservation put us in the front window table! A great evening and meal while visiting Philadelphia.
Absolutely delicious food; every plate we ordered was wiped clean. Terrific pre-theater dinner.
Love the wine offering by carafe.
Service was curt and not welcoming.
Of course the food was delicious.
Beautiful scenery and the food was amazing. Perfect for a date night
Very cute little Italian place. Great for date night.
Pros: charming patio, food tasted good. Good sauce. Runner from kitchen was sweet and helpful. Hostess was very nice.
Cons: $19 for a small plate of gnocchi. Not impressed. $2 for literally two pieces of bread cut in half. That’s a rip off. Our server had a very unwelcoming demeanor and a fiercely unfriendly scowl the whole time with our table and others as well. Better for the restaurant to not have her there. Bad face for the company. There were times where I was lip reading what my husband was saying because I could not hear him.
Fun spot. Great service. Eggplant parmigiana was delicious. Spaghetti was so-so although sauce and meatballs were better.
Wonderful experience. Great atmosphere and even better meal. Great value!
Little Nona’s has an upscale rustic vibe. The food was delicious. It is a wonderful place to go with family and friends. I highly recommend visiting. The Gnocchi was delicious as was the chicken! The salads are a must!
The appetizer was so small. I thought it was bread they put out on all tables. The meatballs were so so. The waitress was efficient but not friendly!!!
we were seated promptly upon arrival. server was able to answer the questions we had about several of the items on the menu. noise level relatively low allowing us to converse. all of this combined made our evening an enjoyable experience.
Little Nonna’s was a wonderful experience from the time we walked in. Our table was ready and our orders were taken quickly and efficiently, the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Our meal was delicious and the dessert was also. I would go back in a heartbeat.
The garden patio was delightful. Staff very attentive, and the food was superb. Really comfortable and lovely place.
We had a few days in Philadelphia and a bar man recommended Little Nonna’s to Us. What a lovely little restaurant with proper home Italian food.
All we ate was delicious and plenty full.
Food was fantastic and ambiance was perfect.
