We have made Little India our Christmas Eve dinner tradition - this was our fourth year. The food is always consistently delicious and the service is very good. We enjoy the live sitar music when available.

Super disappointing. We had reservations for dinner tonight (Thanksgiving). Made the reservations a few weeks ago on Open Table. Received text confirmation the day of and several emails up to today letting us know our reservation was good to go. We showed up tonight with our 2 small kids and the place was closed. I understand being closed on Thanksgiving. But to not turn off online reservations for a day you're not open and never checking to see if you possibly have reservations booked before a day that you're closed is truly bad business. We ended up driving around for 30 mins calling places to see if they were open with 2 grumpy kids trying to make a last min reservation. Not fun.

Unusual to get two dishes served cold, saag and ticki Marsala. . Usually pretty solid.

We had an excellent and authentic Indian Food experience! From the appetizer to the tandoor to the tikka masala it was savory, rich and delicious. The desserts were excellent. The live music was good and not too loud.

Good food, good prices and good location. The service was average. Our waiter forgot our order and the order of the table next to us! He seemed busy but he didn't have very many tables to wait. Will go back again but not for the service but because the food is decent at decent prices and it's conveniently located.

We have been long time fans of the Little India near DU because the food wasn't as greasy as the one on 6th. Not sure if they now have the same owners, but the food quality has gone downhill steadily. The last 3 times we have been the food is not as flavorful, greasy, and doesn't taste as good as it once did. I'm sad to say that I think we are done with Little India's near DU and are now in search of a new favorite Indian spot.

We have been to this restaurant many times and the food is usually very good and authentic.

There is a kids menu - this makes it easier to take picky eaters along.

We had specifically called the night before and asked if the sitar player would be performing, but when we arrived he was not there - that was disappointing for the kids :(

Other than that, we had a nice night. The butter chicken was excellent. The Vindaloo was HOT but that is why we always order it!

Had been there twice before with several years in between. First time I remember enjoying it. Second time I was disappointed. But after not being there for a long time, we thought we would give it another chance.

Nice atomosphere and live music on a Friday night. Nice low key bar atomosphere. As for food. We had three entrees and each of them were extremely bland tasting regardless of whether they were spicy or not. Indian food suggests to me subtle blends of spices and textures. None of that was present in any of our choices. Very disappointing!

My son and I enjoyed everything at Little India Wash Park. The chicken tikka masala was, as always, fantastic. Fresh baked naan and warm, delicious chai. The service was excellent as well. Overall, a great dinner.

We were first impressed by the look of building from outside. Upon entering we were greeted by the huge Indian wall painting. We were greeted cordially and seated immediately. The menu presented us with a wide variety of choices. Our order was taken very fast and we were soon drawn by the aroma of our choices, which was only surpassed by the excellent tastes. Great Chai too by the way!

So disappointed. The place was filthy. The menus had dried food all over them. The floors and walls were dirty. The chairs were very old and the upholstery was stained. We got up and left before ordering because we were very concerned about filth in the kitchen.

Little India on South Downing is a place to get solid, straight-up Indian dishes. The menu is extensive and the dishes are very tasty. Service was good and there are both, Indoor and Outdoor tables. If you like good Indian for the whole family, this is the right place. So far, this is our favorite Indian restaurant in Denver.

Iv'e eaten here many times over the years and what always brings me back is the AMAZING richness of their Chicken Tikka Masala. One would think that this was slow cooked overnight to achieve such a rich flavor. Its has always been very consistent but judging from our latest visit, something has changed and its not for the better. I was so disappointed and it made me immediately question if the Chef still worked there or not, or perhaps did the owners sell out. It was not only the Chicken Tikka Masala that was bad; runny and flavorless, their signature drinks were bad too. Like maybe they substituted cheaper ingredients or something. I did not recognize any of the wait staff either. This is not a recipe for success. Sad….

Their curries are very rich and flavorful. We cook Indian at home but can't get close to their tender richness. Its obvious they slow cook everything for hours. Their chicken and lamb melts in your mouth! The only issue I have is I tend o over- eat when I visit this place, it's really that good! I wold vote it the best of the best hands down.

But I think you were just busy that night and the waitress was new. She opened the wine before she brought it to the table and didn't have anyone taste it. And then she put the bill in front the woman on the table!!! I think she was new? Food is GREAT.

The four of us loved this restaurant and plan to go back. We rated everything 5 out of 5 except for Ambience, because they had someone playing an instrument that was way, way too loud. We had a hard time hearing each other.

Cute little place with wonderful Indian food! Service was pleasant but a little confused, soup came after the entrée. Not much parking and the patio (full of diners) door was open blowing cold air into the dining room, but overall we will definitely go back!

Loved Little India...wish we would have tried it a long time ago. We love Indian food, but never got around to Little India. We like it the best of all the Indian restaurants we've been to. The service was very personable and accommodating. The food was perfect. We had lamb jalfrazie, chicken tikka saag, samosas, etc. Everything was superb! Will visit again for sure!

Wonderful selection of appetizers and entrees. Offerings are focused on authentic savory sauces, but with little meat or seafood. Staff dressed in customary attire and very attentive and knowledgeable of cuisine and culture. Continuous live music on Saturday night to enhance dining experience!

No secret here, the food at Little India is just better than the other Indian/Tibetan/Nepali joints around town. Not tons better, but enough better. The all-you-can-eat dinner buffets at the other places re tempting and adequate, and we'll still go to them, but for quality subcontinent cuisine, LI wins. Server was attentive, nice, and a pro, knowing when to step back. Outside patio at the South Downing location in the the shade in the evening--perfect. Consistent quality.

We were very pleased with the food and the atmospher when we went for dinner at Little India. The server was attentive and the food was very good. The manager proved to be very flexible and generously suggested that the restaurant absorb the cost of an error made by our server.
We will return to the restaurant when we return to Denver.

Not returning. It took over an hour and a half to receive our first course. We order mango lassi waitress comes back 30 minutes later said they ran out, but not even 5 minutes later other waiter brought out as many as 5 and throughout the night other tables had mango lassi. Service was terrible, food poor quality from what it use to be.

We really liked our meal at Little India. Excellent food, subtle and delicate spices, lovely presentation.
Our waiter was incredibly talkative, so much so that our meal got stretched out much longer than we had time for.
We don't mind brief conversations with waiters, but this was excessive.

The food at Little India was good. Although I am pretty certain our appetizer was frozen and then re-heated which is to me unacceptable for a restaurant. The service however was pretty awful. I had to ask two people for appetizer plates that my waiter neglected to bring with the appetizer. The food came out quickly but the server neglected to remove any of the completed dishes from the appetizers, soup, etc. so that there was room for the entrees. He seemed overall very disinterested. The chicken masala and fish vindaloo were very good but the vindaloo could do with less heat. The house chardonnay was great. I'm not sure I'd go back, perhaps for the lunch buffet.

We invited our friends to dinner using a Living Social deal. The appetizers were delicious! Sorry I don't remember the names. I did have a Kingfisher beer and it was good! Our friends are vegetarian so were the appetizers. The multawnawny soup was better than the lentil. My friend and I had two different lamb dishes. I had the "hot" one, which wasn't too spicy. Just right. We had lots of Naan garlic bread and brown and saffron rice. Everything was delicious. There was live entertainment - an Indian gentleman playig a sitar, whcih added to the ambiance. For dessert, my friend had pistachio ice cream (which I wish I had ordered!) and I had the rice pudding. Park outside the door of the restaurant.

Little India on Downing is my favorite Indian restaurant in Denver. The food and service are always good. I recommend selecting options off the menu over the buffet. Byron was especially helpful in giving suggestions on what to try in our last visit.
