We stopped by for a quick dinner before a show at the Paramount. We're vegetarians. Best baked eggplant parmesan ever. Excellent veggie burrito. Great flavor, nicely sized portions. Good attentive service. Two blocks from the theatre.
The food was really amazing! I had the pan seared catfish special, my husband had the lamb chop special, one friend had the lobster ravioli special and our other friend had the filet Mignon. Excellent menu diversity and so delicious! We bought a gift certificate for a relative while we were there, since we loved it so much. Our waitress Elizabeth was also fantastic!
Back again for another anniversary dinner. Really enjoyed the lobster ravioli.
Excellent as usual
They were able to get us in and out quickly in time for a show at the paramount. Nice people and great food.
Very busy at that time but service was still good. Food was great.
This last visit reminded me that I should get here more often!
Good food, comfortable place
My friend and I enjoyed a wonderfully quiet and romantic night at our favorite Rutland restaurant. I loved my seafood special of Lobster ravioli with scallops, shrimp, and PEI muscles. WOW! What a treat!
Great place to eat, but busy when the paramount is having a show. Avoid those dates, they can't handle it. Seated 30 minutes late even with a reservation.
Our dinner was even more enjoyable than the last time we visited and last time it was great.
Three of us ordered the fresh halibut special, and gave it a strong thumbs up. The table was just right in size, putting us close enough to easily participate in an active conversation with each other. Our waiter had a broad smile and treated us well.
Little Harry's is one of our favorites. menu has a ton of variety. lots of great daily specials. expertly prepared. we have never been disappointed here. always fantastic!
We have been skiing at Killington for years but I am embarrassed to admit that we have never really gone into Rutland. We have tired of the restaurants on Killington Road so we decided to explore the dining options in Rutland. We struck gold with little Harry's. It has a cozy down home Vermont ambience and the food on the eclectic menu is well prepared and delicious. We had the dumpling appetizer and corn and shrimp chowder to start. Both were unique and delicious. For entrees we had Ravioli Diablo, Shrimp Pad Thai and The Red Curry ......all were uniquely delicious! The peanut sauce accompanying the Pad Thai was different and extraordinary. The Diablo sauce was delicious and spicy but like no other sauce I have ever had with ravioli. The Red Curry was simply outstanding. The portions were generous so we, unfortunately, had no room for what seemed like amazing desserts.
The service was as outstanding as the food. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was helpful, friendly and professional. She certainly contributed to a pleasant and memorable evening. We will be back.
My wife, a vegetarian, ordered the vegetarian chili. They had a lot of good-sounding vegetarian dishes on the menu. We overheard the next table asking where was their food, they'd been waiting an hour and a half since they sat down. They brought our dishes about then, practically dropping our dishes on our table because they were so hot. Still, OK, until we figured out her chili had meat in it. Not good. They didn't charge for her dish but my wife was turned off and at that point didn't want to have anything. We paid for my dish, etc. but she wanted to bring it up with the manager on our way out. He said people make mistakes and that's that, which my wife wasn't thrilled to hear. He then felt the need to go over to our table to see how much of my dish I ate and how much money we left on the table = the bill plus 10%. He then came back and said to me, "Well, you ate most of your dish." The night ended weirdly when the manager said to my wife, "What am I talking to you for?"
Food was overly spicy for our taste. Their idea of crab stuffed salmon was salmon with overly spiced crab on top. Whipped cream on key lime pie was melted and runny. Shrimp in crispy skin appetizer was good and best part of meal. This place used to be much better.
Overall, Little Harry's is a great place to eat!
We had a 5pm reservation the last time we ate there, which is when they first open, and were very disappointed that the foyer door was locked. It was VERY cold out that day, so standing around for the 5-10 minutes outside dampened our mood quite a bit.
Also, since there is the option to sit at high-top table by the bar as well as regular tables, it would be good to ask about preferences. We didn't realize when we made the reservation to add a note about wanting to be at a regular table when we made the reservation.
This restaurant was warm and cozy. Perfect after a day is skiing. The menu has something for every body. I started with the apple cider with rum which was perfectly seasoned. The red curry was really good - nice and spicey. A couple of people in the the group ordered the lobster ravioli which was topped with a huge quantity of seafood. The staff is friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back.
We were looking for a restaurant in Rutland, VT and found this gem. Wonderful food. Awesone menu. Great service. Comfortable and very attractive, colorful, arty atmosphere.
Eclectic menu with American and Thai ,Cajun ,Italian ,Mexican & other? delicious offerings. Curry mussels app is the best mussel dish I’ve ever eaten!
Great service. Excellent food.
Always a good choice on a cold December evening. We will certainly be back!!
I was disappointed with the Burrito. The filling was chili, but it seemed like it was made quickly, so that the chili powder tasted raw. There were no other flavors coming along with it.
I also tried the House Soup. That also lacked flavor.
I tried my date's Flouta(?) It was okay but very bland.
Perhaps they would do better with some of the other dishes.
Very quaint spot. One of my favorite places in Rutland!
Pad Thai with shrimps was excellent . Fish and chips tasty as well. server worked to make sure we made our show at the Paramount
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. A cozy enough atmosphere with attentive staff and a menu that promises something for every Palatte. Enjoyable place for family, friends or a date.
Great cross section of food, many interesting combinations of food , textures, and taste . Will be back for sure .
Very comfortable atmosphere. The only thing better than the service was the food.
Always reliable but never amazing
Little Haary’s Is our go to. Great location, great food, great people. If we can sit at the bar, we do. Full service. Great spot.
I've been to Harry's and Little Harry's many times. One of my favorites. Usually excellent food and service and well priced. This particular trip was very crowded and noisy but there was a show at the theatre that night so this was the before concert crowd and quieted down considerably about 7:30PM. Service was a bit slow due to the crowd but excellent nonetheless and we were not in a hurry. Most of the food was very good but the baked scallops tasted "off." Not sure what the problem was and I didn't get ill so it was not the quality of the seafood but something in the preparation. So many excellent options on the menu so I just won't get that again. Normally service is quick and the noise level much lower. The Thai Mussels appetizer is our favorite and do try them if you like very spicy food. Can make a meal of the Mussels and a salad.
We arrived for our reservation at 8pm. We waited for about ten minuets & had the staff walk past us multiple times without saying anything. So we left.
The food was very good, but a bit variable. My wife's Duck Confit was excellent, my lamb stew was just good. The Greek salad ($2 upcharge) was very good. The chocolate brownie sundae that we shared for dessert was also very good. There's a good variety of wines, but only three beers on tap (though many bottled options are available).
We ordered a filet mignon and a NY sirloin steak with two glasses of Malbec. It took literally an hour to be served. The quality of the meat was just OK. The wine was below average. Service was also not satisfactory: didn't even get a water refill until check out!
We frequent this restaurant and find it to be consistently very good!
Old friend came to visit, never been to Rutland, never been to Vermont. We were given a spacious, quiet table. Perfect atmosphere for talking about past and present, and eating tasty food. Lovely evening.
Had a great meal here. Nice selections. The staff were super friendly. It seemed like a great place the local go to!!
This was my 2nd visit. I love the jerk scallops, though think they could be spicier. The wine is reasonable and good. Our waitress, (older, gracious brunette) was great but the young woman at the hostess desk was way too casual and offhand. Noise level pre-theater is high, but I imagine that is situational.
Great menu, executed wonderfully, ample portions, nice friendly service. Not at all pretentious or snooty. Highly recommended.
Fabulous food. Relaxed dining atmosphere. Slow passed dinner giving you plenty of time to relax and visit. Waiter very attentive. Owner courteous and handles issues quickly, professionally, and friendly. Will go again when in area.
The food was good.
Red red shrimp dish is spicy as advertised, chicken Parm fra diavlo not so much. A varied menu and will try again!
