Little Anthony's Italian Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Nice little restaurant near Sheraton Hotel and Eaton centre. Cozy environment with large windows. We went for winterlicious with girlfriends. It was very nice and quiet. Veal and butter squash risotto was yummy. Tiramisu, pistachio ice cream and hazelnut Nutella parfait were perfect end to dinner.
The winterlicious risotto and butter nut squash was shockingly bad.
There were 4 to 5 little cubes of butternut squash and the risotto had little to no flavour.
It gave the impression of being cooked in large volume and slopped into a bowl.
I did like the atmosphere and service...the meal was not impressive for the clients I had taken there.
Took over 20 minutes before we were asked if we wanted drinks
Felt like we had a waitress and and waiter
Waiter took food order before waitress took our drink order
Neither of them seemed to know what the other person had done at the table - they need much better communication with each other
We felt very rushed to eat and leave.
Ended up going back to our hotel and having drinks after we were rushed out
Service was excellent and took into account our pre event time schedule. Cesar salad was very generous and was shared with ease. Pasta dishes were very tasty but less generous and consequently a little pricey. Waiter might have reminded us of pre theatre special. will give it another try.
The restaurant was cold, having been closed for two days, but our initial waiter was very charming and apologetic. Food was nice. Our second waitress not so chatty or responsive. I had to go up to the bar to pay the tab at the end although I had requested the bill. Overall a decent experience.
Rushed through dinner by waitress. I ordered the three course meal. Dessert was plopped in front of me immediately following main course, at which point they then asked my spouse whether she would be interested in dessert. Really? Couldn't they solicit her order before delivering my dessert? Ordered two cappuccinos, which took longer than the whole meal to that point. We have eaten there often in the past, but never again.
Food and service both excellent.
One of the best tiramisu's I've had.
Reservation was at 5 pm and we were seated immediately - lots of time to eat and relax before the theater at 7 pm.
Staff was very friendly and helpful with menu selections.
Will definitely go back.
We come here every time we visit Toronto and are usually very pleased with the experience. This time was a big disappointment, service was slow and inattentive. Our Pasta was good but in small portions and the accompanying meat balls were stone cold. My second beer never arrived.
Went for pre-theatre dinner, informed Emily our waitress that we were attending Nutcracker. She was very attentive, kept track of time and let us know as we near our time. When we inquire about sharing appetizers, she suggested the Antipasto board which was not over the board and perfect since we were not big eaters and would not fill us too much before our main course. We had ordered the Wild Mushroom Risotto & the Veal Osso Buco...both were absolutely delicious. Ambiance & service was excellent!
Our first visit to Little Anthony's and we were very disappointed. The Caesar salad was soggy and certainly not fresh. Even though I asked for the salmon to be cooked medium, it was over-cooked and dry, the Chicken parmesan was very ordinary and not what we expected for the price point. Overall............very disappointing and I would not recommend it to others.
The one positive was our server who was very gracious and pleasant and got us out on time for the theatre.
Our first time in. We were greeted well and a nice table they asked if we were going to a show which we were. Our food arrived hot and timely enough to have dessert. Our food was tasty and hot good sized portions not overwhelming the dish or a dot on a plate. Meal finished with lots of to get to our show. I will love to return.
