Make sure the entire outside dining pretty area is not booked for a special occasion the night you make reservations. They will sit you outside with no view and mangrove smell. The manager should have employees or landscaping company clean the mangrove area because our view was plastic water bottles and garbage from our table.
This was one of the most over priced and under value restaurant I have ever been to. We had brunch for 10 people, waited an hour and thirty minutes for our food. We ordered pochaed eggs with avocado on toast. It came cold. We sent them back and after 30 minutes we still didn't have the food. Each drink was $22 and wine was $60 for a bottle we normally pay $40 in other restaurants.
My advice, don't go to Lique!
first waiter did not understand english so he sent another waiter over who did not explain all meals can be shared as they serve it that way. We had ordered a flank steak for my husband and dover sole for me thinking it was single portion size. First meat came out and I started to share it as my fish was not served and when I asked about it ws told coming. Then out came a huge whole fish. We both were shocked. Waiter could not understand what we were saying again and although food was tasty we wasted it and spent more then needed due to language barrier. If you are of Spanish or Russian decent they can speak to you other then that go elsewhere. Also menu on their own website was not correct and when we got there many things were taken off we had wanted.
Wasn't everything I exepected...The food was great and the outdoor seen was beautiful. But They could definitely use more fans outside in Miami 80+ degree weather. It was really uncomfortable. The music was unnecessarily loud and the service was totally sub par. I heard such great things and I was really disappointed. The hostess was very impersonal and no one greeted us coming in or leaving. The waiter and food were great.
It was Sunday night so maybe it wasn't as lively as it is supposed to be but we really enjoyed the views, the music, and of course the food. Out waiter was really nice, he even gave me a blanket to keep me warm because the wind coming from the river. I will totally recommend this place !
The lamb was perfectly seasoned and cooked as I requested. The tandoori chicken was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Thai noodles made my daughter's night.
The service could have been a bit more on point. Food should arrive together not 20 minutes later. It is customary that the waiter say your food is on its way not just walk by and say nothing, especially if gratuity is included in the bill.
The food was not good. I'll just give a few examples. Korean style glazed wings were served with blue cheese dressing. Why? Soft shell crab tempura was served with garlic butter. Why? The wings weren't crispy enough and the glaze though tasty was gloppy. The edges of the crab were tasty but the center had the taste and texture of being way too old.
Oysters (east and west) were priced at $5. The pair at the next table asked if they were priced by the piece. No, said the waiter. You can get them by the half or whole dozen. I asked what kind of east coast oysters they were serving and he told me: "This is not like New York. When I asked him to please find out what east coast oysters they had he returned to say, "Humboldt." These of course are from California. When we asked if they were indeed $5 per, he said yes! $60 a dozen in a dingy waterfront restaurant. Not to know that oysters come in varieties is unthinkable, especially in a dock-and-dine restaurant! The greek salad looked and tasted like it was pre-made, and the tuna tacos (which were supposed to sushi) had a few tiny cubes of sushi on top of something paste-like and unidentifiable. The waiter was unwelcoming, unhelpful, and the place was very uninviting. Next door at Duffy's, you couldn't find a seat. Draw your own conclusions.
La comida y el servicio fue excelente, lo único que desbalanceó la experiencia fue la música a tan alto volumen que no podíamos hablar en la mesa de 2 y eso también perturbaba el poder apreciar la vista al agua que ofrecen y por la que fuimos.
Good food with bad service. We order an entrance and the main dish came up first then the entrie. An hour later the waitress asked how was our entry and told her that we never had. So after this hour waiting for the entrie the waitress told us that they were out of chicken (the entrie was a chicken teriaki). So we asked for the check and left home.
Service was horrible.. The waiter brought only Two of my guest food and my other guest did not thet their food until after others at the table had finished eating.. The kitchen did not have half the things on the menu... We had to call out the manager.. Never again will I come their.. I have never been treated. Like that..
