wedge salad was tiny
food needed to be made hotter.
very small portion of fish.
food was tasty, however
This was our first visit and the place was superb. We went on a wednesday and it was packed, which is testament to it's excellence. We had the fixed choice menu and it was a great value, the ice cream sundae was over the top!
Very good food and good service. Missed the little mints you offer at dinner.,
The first time I was disappointed in the food quality and service after going to this restaurant many times for years. The service was less than attentive. One of my party wanted another roll and a second glass of wine. By the time the server came back, was done with dinner. The two same salmon dishes (which were still very tasty) came out cold and were served to the wrong people based on their preference of cooking tome for the fish.
Food amazing. Service amazing. Table for two was sandwiched between two other tables, very close, so next time may ask for a bit more privacy. But the people next to us were very nice so all good.
The food was amazing. I loved the Prefix menu offered. We had an early reservation but when the restaurant filled up, the service level dropped. Our waiter didn’t stop by the table very often which left finished plates to sit a while. I’d still go back with the hope that service improves.
Food is always great. Wait staff as well! Happy new year
We had the best time New Years Eve at Linwood's!!!!!! The food and the service were outstanding!!!!!! We enjoyed every minute!!!!! We saw people making reservations for next year!!!!
Flawless as always!! Linwood, Tom and their team always execute at the highest level. NYE was no exception. Thanks.
My husband and I spent another New Year’s Eve dinner at Linwoods. Our meal was absolutely delicious. I had their signature beef tenderloin with a beets salad and my husband chose the same salad and bronzini. Our service was excellent and we left feeling happy and ready to greet 2020. Thanks to Linwoods for being consistently fine. It is our favorite Baltimore restaurant.
Annie is the best server of all time!
Always excellent! Food and service can’t be beat!! Do yourself a favor and dine here when you can!!
Continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in the Baltimore area.
we have been customers since the soft opening and have never been disappointed. If anything ever went amiss, it was corrected beyond our exceptions
Even on a very busy Christmas Eve, both the service and the food were outstanding at Linwoods. The restaurant was very crowded and they had the full menu. Fried oysters are still on the menu and they are excellent. Salads are always fresh with great dressing. The French onion soup is topped with a wonderful gooey cheese. My godson had the steak and it was perfectly cooked to his taste. My other two guests had the crabcake and, as always, it was wonderful. I had the liver that is great for a cold night. It is always served with a heavy duty knife but it can easily be cut with the fork. It was a holiday so we all had the old fashioned chocolate sundae. A new year may be on the way, but that sundae is the best way to be old fashioned.
The one thing that absolutely needs to be pointed out is your fabulous customer service. I made a note about my guest’s deafness and needed to be seated in a quiet area. Not only did your team read my request, but asked if the table was meeting our needs. Thank you, for make our Christmas Eve enjoyable, Lisa Staples
Linwoods is our go-to restaurant for any family celebration. Food was beyond good, service a pleasure.
A pleasant atmosphere with great service and excellent food.
Serving the worst, previously-frozen, tasteless dinner-rolls is a regrettable way to greet patrons. $17 martini, okay. Lunch menu, meh. Prep, poor; whoever heard of soupy grits? That said, slim pickins in the vicinity for an alternative.
Always the best food in Baltimore. We love eating here.
We had a wonderful meal for “date night”! We shared 5 small plates and an app size pasta as well as a dessert.
Everything was just wonderful!
Always Consistently good. Wait staff are excellent. Food is very well prepared and presented. I would like to see more variations in the menu but what they do, they do very well. Owner is friendly and available. Probably the best restaurant in Baltimore
This was my first time at Linwoods and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone!!
Good dinner, but I expected a more tender filet, especially given the very small size and price. Ordered rare. Beet salad was divine. Ice cream sandwich was clumsy.
Excellent food. Enjoyed the scallop and duck salad and the ravioli. Disappointed with the beet salad. Certainly could use more goat cheese, beets, and greens. Segiu was a great server. Also when there are only a few folks in the restaurant why sit people so close together? Finally PLEASE give each patron a drink menu. We are all ordering. It’s not a wine list book. Thanks.
Unusually poor crab cake dinner very crowded and felt rushed that nite
Linwood's is a wonderful place to meet friends or colleagues for lunch or dinner. The food is delicious, well-prepared and pleasingly presented. Because the kitchen is open to the dining room, it is possible to interact with the chefs ( which I did today about the supberb scallops over rissoto.) It's no mystery why this restaurant has been a Baltimore fixture for so many years! Elaine Rifkin
We have a special dinner every year on December 12th. Decided to try Linwoods this year and it was excellent! The food was outstanding and the service was awesome too. I'm sure we'll be back before next December 12th.
Just great as always!
Annie was adorable and delightful
Remarkable, innovative menu. Lobster tempura with honey sauce a triumph.
We dine here regularly. The food and service are outstanding! By far the finest restaurant in the Baltimore area.
I’ve been wanting to dine at Linwood’s for years. My fiancé and I had reservations for Valentines weekend 2006 but the was a blizzard that weekend so we rescheduled and unfortunately he passed unexpectedly on 2/13. Aside from not being to experience Linwood with him, it was an exceptionally pleasant experience
We happened to sit next to a table where one diner was particularly loud...however, that's not the restaurant's fault.
Good atmosphere, great service and very good food. A little pricey.
Always wonderful!! Feels like home!! We are always happy and well taken care of!!
One of the best restaurants in all of Baltimore!! The service is very attentive to your needs-and seem to only appear when you need them! AMAZING
My lady and I arrived approx. 15min before our reservation time. However, this was not a problem as we were seated promptly with no wait. We both loved the subdued ambience of the restaurant and the music was present without being overbearing. Our server was probably one of the best, if not the best, we've experienced in our dining out history! She was attentive to our needs and answered all questions, concerning the menu, that we had. The food itself was delicious! We started out with a shrimp salad (for her) and a roasted eggplant and artichoke heart salad (for me). Our main dish consisted of Sweet Chili Glazed Salmon with vegetable slaw and Wasabi pea with a very nice pineapple martini. We then finished off the lunch with carrot cake (for her) and a heavenly white chocolate banana cream pie (for myself). Of course, we shared each of the dishes with each other...lol. While slightly pricey, I felt the charge was reasonable for the service provided. We both enjoyed our 1st time at Linwoods and will definitely be back, in the future.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Little rich and creamy but each course was a real treat!
Great service, great food!!
Everything from the service and appetizers to the main course. First class dining, we come to Linwoods about 4 times a year and have been for a decade. Never once have we had a bad experience with the food or service.
