   The Linthwaite House is first rate. Their Michelin star is well deserved. Service was proper, but friendly. Food was presented beautifully and was creative. Everything was of exceptional quality.

   This was a special day out and our reservation was confirmed the day before and when we arrived we were greeted by a lovely gentleman. We had drinks in the Conservatory while we chose our menu which turned out to be outstanding. Unusual ingredients and overall wonderful. Service was excellent and we had a memorable meal. Views across the lakes and mountains was outstanding too.

   A superb Sunday lunch. Excellent food and service. The hotel is in a wonderful situation and the dining room is elegant and comfortable.

   found this by accident and booked for a nice meal for my partner and I. Was not disappointed. Very friendly professional staff, food quality excellent and good ambiance. The owners/management seem to take pride in delivering a very good service and at a very reasonable price too. It takes a little effort to find the place but worthwhile. Listed in the decent guides like Conde de Nast traveller, Johansens. Would highly recommend

   The three course Sunday lunch at Linthwaite House was a real treat and a fond memory of our recent trip with friends to the Lakes. The views from the house over Windermere are stunning, the staff superb and everything we had from the menu was excellent. Three of us opted for the beef, and in each case it is hard to imagine how it could have been any better. Starters were also very tasty and artistically presented. Extensive choice of cheeses and very good wines list.

   We had a very nice Sunday lunch at Linthwaite House Hotel, Windermere. The grounds are really beautiful and this, along with the attitude of the staff, is what makes Linthwaite such a wonderful place. The food was excellent and the service top notch - and at a bargain price of £25 per head for a 3 course Sunday lunch what nore could you wnat! I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a special treat whist staying in the Lake District.
