Linthwaite House Hotel overlooking Lake Windermere in the sublime Lake District is a very special place indeed. Its award winning restaurant, under the stewardship of talented young chef Chris O'Callaghan, serves modern British food using the best fresh, local ingredients. Choose from a light lunch menu on the terrace, or a daily changing table d’hote menu for lunch or dinner, with dishes such as dill cured salmon with lemon puree, pink grapefruit and gin sorbet, followed by curry crusted halibut with spiced quinoa, rainbow chard cutney, coconut and lime emulsion. Finish off with sublime desserts such as chocolate cylinder with toasted marshmallow and Kendal mint cake ice cream, all washed down with wines expertly chosen from all over the world.
