Lindey's Ratings and Reviews
Overall the experience was delightful. The food was perfect and was out in a timely manner. The scenery outside paired nicely with the interior atmosphere. The only issue was the party of 8 or so that were being rather obnoxious. I noticed one other couple ask to move because of the unnecessary noise. If it weren't for the nose and raucous behavior, it would have been a perfect night.
We have our annual family Christmas dinner there each year and have never been disappointed. Carly was our server and she did a fantastic job of it making sure everyone got their food Timely and making sure that the drinks kept coming. Food was delicious as always oh, and overall again it was an excellent experience.
This dinner was a disaster from start to finish. Lindeys seems to have lost its touch. The service was terrible, the food came out barely warm, pasta came with bacon when it was ordered without, filet was way over cooked. Very very disappointed and will not be going back.
this was a welcome lunch for a new employee and it was a comfortable setting, the service was professional and the food was excellent. This was my first visit and I was very impressed and will recommend for future business luncheons. thank you
This review is being dictated, so just excuse the errors. Not the Lindys of yesteryear. We loved the bar. The service at bar the attendance we received from the bartender was excellent. So, as as a late night find, stopping in for libation, I couldn’t recommend Lindys more.
We made reservations for this as a special occasion, a birthday dinner. Our dining experience was Irreparably diminished by being placed next to a loud preschooler who must have missed his nap. In a restaurant with as many tables as were available for a 6:45’dinner, we should not have been their neighbors.
We split the smoked salmon salad, the lamb chops and a chocolate mousse/torte. The kitchen plated our meals without being specifically asked, always appreciated. I’m sorry to say aside from the chops most of the the meal was unremarkable. Now the lamb was done to perfection.
How busy the server was should not have been apparent. Maybe they were short on staff this Monday evening. but for a restaurant serving in this price range, You would expect more.
We went to Lindey’s to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary as it was my wife’s favorite restaurant. Notwithstanding being well dressed and celebrating a special occasion we were seated just outside the service door. The waitress was nice and reasoanably attentive. We both ordered rack of lamb, a favorite dish from past experience here. The meat was so tough it was hard to cut with the sharp knives provided. The lobster bisque and post mortem did not disappoint. We had a candle placed at our table, and the desert was complimentary. Overall kind of a let down.
When I first heard morel mushroom soup was on, I thought "out of season", then I tried it......."Incredible"............. I thought I died and went to heaven. So good! First using morels can make most anything taste good, but this soup was made perfectly, with great balance and finish. Superb! Lindy's has always been a place I can count on to impress my clients.
The food and service are always top notch. For the first time we did experience a bartender with a little bit of an attitude but we didn't let it ruin the evening. Maybe she was having a bad day will give her a pass. I would highly recommend lindey's for a romantic evening for a friend's get together or for any celebration.
The food was amazing. Our waiter was attentive. Literally my only complaint is that the rolls they brought out before the meal came with butter that was cold so it didn't spread. Both my husband and I thought that was disappointing bc everything else was excellent and well thought out.
We eat at Lindey’s 4-6x per year. This seemed like an off night for them. Valet was a little rude. We got seated in front room (prefer the back when not on the patio). Wife explained to server (who was nice and tried hard despite being absent a couple times when needed) that she was vegan and didn’t like pasta. Chef made her a pasta dish with some vegetables. We sent that back and chef came back with a vegetable dish cooked with butter (not vegan). So I ate my meal (halibut special - over cooked) while she hung out. Just a bad showing for a good restaurant.
We like to celebrate special occasions at Lindey's. I had the Riesling which is very good, but the amount was a little short this time. My husband's beer was okay, but he felt the beer list was lacking. We usually sit up the short stairs away from the bar, but did not this time. It was a little noisy in the bar area, but not bad. My Shrimp and Lobster Risotto was delicious and contained a very good amount of shrimp and lobster. My husband's pork chop was overdone and somewhat dry, even though he asked for it medium rare. In past years, we have had excellent waiters who asked us if we had a special occasion or answered our questions honestly about the menu choices. We were not disappointed, but did not feel our experience was as good in past years.
