Lindey's is a high-energy, white tablecloth restaurant serving the finest American cuisine in an upper east side New York bistro setting. Nestled in historic German Village, the design incorporates original artwork, bentwood chairs, copper topped bars and hardwood floors. With its exciting and vibrant atmosphere, Lindey's has three main dining rooms, four private party rooms and an award winning outdoor courtyard that has been voted the best patio in Columbus.
Outstanding as usual. We sat at the bar on the patio and our service was great, as was the food.
What a great place to eat.
Lindeys is my favorite restaurant in Columbus. The service is excellent; the drinks are perfect, and the food is consistently extraordinary. The Australian Sea bass and the tornados are the absolute best dishes in Columbus. The two sauces on the sea bass and the crispy risotto cake are heavenly perfection.
My fish was just ok. The sliced baked potato was dry & boring even though it had a bunch of spices on it. Could hardly swallow it. Broccoli was pretty dead too. Service was great. Coffee delicious too.
Relaxed service with excellent food. A Columbus tradition.
I have been to Lindey's many times over the years and the last couple of visits the food and service have been slipping. Service was very slow, and it was hard to get our server's attention - she didn't come back to check on us after the food was served and I finally had to flag her down. My Reuben was one of the worst I have ever had. terrible - it was spicy hot (since when is a Reuben sandwich spicy hot) and it was dry - partly because there was almost no dressing on it.
My four guests were too polite to comment on the food, but didn't finish theirs.
Lindey's used to be my go-to restaurant, but no more.
Great food, excellent service, but we sat by a large party that was very loud and were unable to hear each other talk.
Normally go hear for special occasions. It was our anniversary and waiter acted like he was annoyed that he had to serve us. Also had a group next to us that was in a full on argument. Not the celebratory ambiance that we are used to here. Picking another spot for us to celebrate
Overall a nice dining experience. Everything is always price relative, so for high end dining, high end expectations. Beautiful interior, but can get quite loud with all of the hard surfaces. Server was very good and personable. Food also was very good, and price was reasonable for the quality. As in most restaurants, drinks are outrageously priced, but you know that going in. Nothing negative to say about the whole experience.
Very pleasant brunch to celebrate Mother's Day (not on the actual holiday). Service was prompt and friendly. The food was very good- Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Beignets and Turkey Melt
Delightful brunch with the family! Loved the ambiance on the patio.
Came for my bf’s birthday and had the best experience! The food was amazing and AJ our server was such a sweet heart. We found a speck in our wine glass and he replaced our wine immediately. We have the lamb and lobster risotto. You have to go for yourself.
Wonderful service, great food recommendations, food was on point.
excellent food and atmosphere, a bit pricey but worth it for a great meal.
While Lindey’s has long been a favorite and a staple in the community for upscale dining, my last experience was lackluster. The menu had been changed and the results was less than stellar with my crab salad. The server was inattentive and bordering on impolite. The noise level was almost insurmountable for a conversation.
Ambience, attentive waiter and great food! Along with wonderful company it made for a delightful evening.
Always delivers as expected. Never disappointed. Excellent food and fair prices. Valet parking, great neighborhood, cant go wrong at Lindeys.
Never disappoints! The patio is amazing!
The seafood in my linguini was overdone; the linguini was underdone. There was no response to my comment. Other food and service was excellent as usual.
We took a group of 10 to dinner on a Monday evening while in Columbus for business. The food was delicious, but both drinks and food were very slow to arrive.
Great time. Celebrated our daughters graduation from Ohio State. Food, ambiance and service was top notch.
Lindey's has great service and you can always count on delicious, high quality food!
Filet was not properly cooked but we were compensated for it. Unfortunately, we go just for the filet.
Dinner was great! Would recommend it to anyone that hasn't been there! Make sure you try the salmon!!!! It's so delicious
Go, but not on a busy night like an OSU graduation weekend.
We had the worst service ever. The waiter really acted like we were an imposition on his time and couldn't wait for us to leave.
Food was OK, but not as good as the Barn in Easton/Gahanna where we ate earlier in the week.
Dined with my husband and a friend. All of the food was fantastic. I got the chopped salad and lamb entree, my husband got the Australian sea bass entree and a cup of soup, and our friend got the filet. We also ordered the beef carpaccio as an appetizer and my husband and his friend got several cocktails. I ordered the chocolate torte for dessert which is divine. I really liked the valet parking - very convenient. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but a table was already available. This was a very nice dining experience.
Best bartenders on the planet
This is my third time being at Lindey’s for brunch and having a similar experience... sitting at our table for 10 minutes until we’re offered drinks. Another 10 minutes before the drinks arrive. And then our food comes out and our server never comes back. We have to flag someone down for refills and the check. The table next to us had the same experience and were clearly just as frustrated. Meanwhile 3 servers stand around chatting instead of helping. Again, this is the third time this has happened at brunch. The only way to go to this restaurant is to sit at the bar. Very disappointing for a $70 brunch.
Dining at Lindey’s is always a wonderful experience. The service from the moment you enter the door is professional, friendly, and precise. I have been to Lindey’s numerous times and the outstanding service and delicious food is consistent across the board. The atmosphere is inviting and this is a great place to gather with family and friends!
Awesome! Great food and service! Thank you!
Beautiful evening on the patio with wonderful food and service. Always a treat to dine at Lindey’s, especially the outdoor patio.
We go to Lindeys often and always love it!
They changed the crab cakes on me though, single/double is fine but I prefer the spinach and onion strings. Please bring that back.
My friend and I were there for dinner before the symphony, and as always, Lindey’s food was outstanding . My shrimp and lobster risotto was creamy perfection, and her bronzini fish was a new dish to us but was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The noise level was higher than normal because it was Derby Day, but it got much quieter after all the hatted ladies left! It’s nice that valet parking is free, unlike some restaurants in the GV area.
Of the four of us that ate lunch here, 3 disliked their food. The only dish that someone liked was the salad with nut crusted chicken.
We were hoping to sit outside but the patio was closed down just before we arrived. Inside, the food and service were great, but the environment was very stuffy and loud.
Lindey's never fails to provide the perfect venue regardless of the occasion. The patio in spring is a beautiful setting - if you cannot dine on the patio - not a problem, Lindey's interior dining provides old world beauty. The food, in both presentation and taste, is superb. We had the Australian Bass that simply melted in your mouth. Our server, Ian, cared for all of our dining needs - even when Mother Nature tried to intervene with rain. Ian gently moved us from the patio inside where we finished our meal with a cappuccino and Banana's Foster. What a glorious evening!
We made reservations through open table and were turned away like liars - very embarrassing experience with my team looking at me as if I failed. I don’t think I’ll use this service again or go to Lindy’s after they arrogantly and with no empathy had us leave with no clue where to go on a very busy night in Columbus. Very disappointed and hurt.
Great food and even better service! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed it very much!
Lindey's is an old family favorite and we hadn't been there in years. We went to celebrate my sisters birthday. One issue we had was that we did not get our cocktails until after the appetizer was delivered. No one around us was drinking so we were confused as to what was the holdup (we were a party of three). A polite apology was offered by the waitress but she still returned a couple of times without our order. We also requested a birthday dessert and our waitress confirmed that she would bring a dessert with a candle, the same that was delivered to two other tables around us. She took our dessert order but there was no special dessert with candle delivered. All in all, we were pleased with our experience, but improvements would have made it exceptional.
Our group of 7 made a reso on a Sunday night for my birthday! Our meals were great and so were the cocktails. Try the bourbon barrel gin 75 ( I forget the actual name)! Our server was very nice and it might have been because of my fathers awkwardness, but she only took alcoholic drink orders leaving him without his desired Diet Pepsi. Not an issue at all but seemed slightly odd. Managers were seen on the floor helping drop food and all the staff seemed to be in high spirits. Definitely one of our favorites and we can’t wait to return!
