Lindey's Ratings and Reviews
We had our daughter and her fiancé along with his parents in from out of town.
Her first choice of a restaurant was Lindey’s to show off Columbus’ restaurants.
Food was great, service was great
BUT, we had a party of 8 adults and a high chair and we were so crammed at a table that should have only had 6 people. We made obvious noise about our tightness but no one seemed to have a solution.
We’ve eaten at your restaurant many times and I know you have larger tables. Thank goodness the food and company were great because we were as tight as sardines!!
Lindey's is one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus. Great wine list, can't order a bad thing on the menu. The wait staff are all great - they come by just as much as you need them to, but not too much. Everything about this place is great. Even the building that it's in is a neat old place; you don't realize how big it is until they start taking you through all the rooms to be seated.
Had a reservation at 8pm. They told us they would seat us shortly. 30 minutes later we got seated. Not sure what our reservation did for us. Also the food was good but the portion size was small. You pay $30 for basically a snack. Not to mention they brought us a small bread basket after our entrees arrived. This place is honestly overrated and overpriced
I recently dined at Lindey's for a special occasion with my partner. The ambiance was very romantic and the food was delicious! We had Samantha as a server and she was extremely attentive! We never had to ask for anything, because she was so on top of everything all night! Would definitely recommend going again and would highly recommend Samantha as a server to anyone wanting to try the restaurant out. I had a great time!
Lindey's has been my favorite Columbus restaurant for nearly 15 years. We were early for our reservation, but we were able to be seated immediately. It took a little while for Dustin to come over and greet us and, even longer for the SA to drop ice waters.
My husband and I were coursing our dinner, so the initial delay didn't impact us too much. It was very obvious that Dustin had several tables in the bar area and on the first level up from the bar area and was doing his best to deliver the impeccable service for which Lindey's is known.
The food and cocktails were amazing, as was the wine. The best Lobster Bisque in the city can be found with you! We enjoyed our meals, (Crab Cake and Pork Chop--grilled perfectly, by the way), and left feeling completely satisfied with our experience.
You're the best, Lindey's. Can't wait to see you during patio season!
Had been once before during an OSU game so the restaurant was empty but food was fantastic. So we decided to go back - reservations are hard to come by but we managed to get one at 9. We showed up about 20 minutes expecting to grab a drink at the beautiful bar but our table was ready. The service was excellent, not intrusive at all but we also were never left waiting. Our food was wonderful - I had the lamb - was perfectly cooked and the accompaniments were delicious and didn't overpower the flavor of the lamb. We had an appetizer, each had soup (the french onion), entrees, a beer and a glass of good Cab and total was just over $100. I would have paid much more and been just as satisfied. The difficulty in getting a reservation is a testament to the quality of the place.
Food was amazing and service was great. Menu was full of so many amazing options that I can’t wait to go back and try something else! I appreciated the opportunity to relax and enjoy the meal. It wasn’t a rushed experience but a timely delivery of all courses.
Met a couple of friends for Sunday brunch this past weekend and none of us had been there for at least 10 or more years! Our meals were incredible —> We ordered the Beignets and Carpaccio for the table and then I had the Crab Louie salad! (and I’m STILL thinking about it!) It really was amazing. The amount of fresh crab that they put into it was actually enough to fill me up even before I was finished. It was a lot of great food! Our drinks were made equally well which, let’s be honest, is always a nice side to any brunch! ;) We’d made reservations and didn’t need to wait at all for our table even though the restaurant was really busy. Last, our server was outstanding! He was extremely kind, helpful and patient but attentive. All an A+ and I’ll be back again soon!!
We couldn´t have had a worse experience at Lindey´s. The restaurant was loud, and the waiters were clumsy and pretty rude. But the food was the biggest disappointment. I´ve never paid that money for such poor quality...The fried oysters were tasteless, the shrimp croquette was just awful, and the brownie extremely ARTIFCTIAL, dry and hard to chew. When we complained to the manager and politely expressed our disappointment HE JUST STARED and say "ok, thank you" and then he just left. We felt very disrespected...Honestly, biggest rip-off of my life!!!!
After much research, we chose Lindey's for Restaurant Week. The choices were unique and the reviews were good. Unfortunately, once we were seated, the waiter immediately spilled my daughter's water across the table. We were merely brought napkins to clean it up ourselves and the tablecloth remained damp throughout the meal. Luckily, the water did not land on any of us. We got 2 orders of the oysters and the portion sizes were incredibly different and neither was very hot. We really enjoyed the duck wings. All of the meals except my other daughter's med-rare filet were good. We had to send hers back due to being rare at best and incredibly stringy. The desserts were all perfect. We realize that restaurants are often over-burdened during Restaurant Week and that meals come at a discounted price; however, we still left a bit disheartened by the experience.
