Table placed in a doorway; awkward seating, poor customer service-inattentive/non-connected waiter who barely gave us the time of day. Omelet was unseasoned and lacked anything that would make it a good value at $12-$14... unappealing looking. Waiter removed the appetizer plate with 1/3 of the items still intact, after having asked twice before and we said we are still picking at it. No additional hot water was brought for my tea. He removed my guest's entre salad when she clearly was not done: she had so much left on her plate and was actually still chewing, but he shamed her into nodding that she was done while he had his had already clutching her plate. Each time I visit, I am charmed a whole lot LESS, despite the décor being fabulous.

Our party of 3 was sat at a tiny table in a dark corner by the front door. Lindey’s is just way too small a space for all the tables they try to cram in. Because the area was completely dark and not fit for those of us who are visually impaired, we asked to be moved. While the restaurant was accommodating, we were taken to the back dining room and left standing in the middle of the room for 5 minutes while a suitable table was found. That was odd and uncomfortable. Your servers could move better and hosts seat appropriately if less tables were in the space. This was for a birthday celebration and the hiccups sort of ruined the experience. Lindey’s costs way too much for a less than stellar experience. It also might help to not take more reservations or seat more people than can be accommodated. Food wise, everything was absolutely delicious as per usual minus my burger. I requested medium and it was beyond well done. Missing the wedge salad that was removed from the menu. Our server was cheerful and attentive. Beyond that the temperature in the restaurant was stifling. I had beads of sweat running down my face all night. Just a few issues that could be ironed out. All in all Lindey’s remains one of my favorite spots.

I've been a fan of Lindys ever since I came to live in Columbus in 1987. They are easy to recommend and never disappoints.

We went to Lindey’s to celebrate a new job. I have always loved the atmosphere and the food...but this time was a little disappointing. To start, we had to stand in the middle of the dinning room while the hostess went back to the station because our table wasn’t ready. We were then led to a table that seemed to be in a “hallway or walkthrough” of sorts - not creating a very good ambiance. Then the food came and it was below par. For our entire group of 3!
Not sure for the price we will be back anytime soon.

Simply a great restaurant in German Village. One that always comes up in conversations about fine dining in Columbus. On par with other restaurants like Hyde Park, The Avenue, Ocean Club, etc.

Not a good place for a quiet night out. I could barely hear what my wife was saying and she was only 1 foot from me. Was hoping for a quieter evening.

Personal service and great food. Only my second visit to Lindey's and I was very pleased. The host changed our reserved table to a more comfortable location offering more space. This was his decision, not mine, and I sincerely appreciated it. When I inquired where the ladies room was located, I was actually escorted. Nice! Upon returning to my chair I found my napkin folded in a fan design. So sweet. The food was absolutely fabulous. Four older females actually raving about their food is quite remarkable. LOL! We ladies will definitely return to Lindey's. Fantastic restaurant.

This was the first time my wife and I have ever been to Lindey's and it was an overall good experience. The food was excellent which lived up to the hype that I had heard about from others who have been Lindey's. The only real disappointment we had, if you want to call it that, was the waiter didn't ask us if we have dined with Lindey's before, and also what brought us in to dine with them on Saturday night. We were celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary, so that was a little disappointing. Other high end steak houses that we've been to, Eddie Merlot's and the Top, have always asked those two questions, which I feel is the right thing to do. Other than, I would recommend Lindey's, we will be back, but for brunch, probably not dinner for quite some time. Maybe our next experience we'll have a little more of an engaging server.

Everything was great! This was our first time to this restaurant and we look forward to coming back. This is a beautiful location and service was perfect. Warm bread to start (cold butter though... why do some restaurants mess up on this little thing?), delicious soup, entrees and desserts. It was my birthday and I received my dessert for free with a candle on top :) Highly recommend!

Despite a reservation, we were seated at an awkward table partly in a walkway. The cup of soup we each ordered came after our entrees. The bacon on my order was actually under-undercooked. The server returned it and brought "well-done" bacon which was almost burned The restaurant was busy, but the kitchen should be able to handle bacon.

Had I known there was a holiday light show in GV that night, I would have gone elsewhere. I had a reservation, so we got right in, but it was packed it was easily medium rare. 2 sons ordered ribeye medium rare. One got his wish; the other was medium to medium well. He said he was ok w it, but for $50, his steak should have been cooked as He ordered it. For what I paid, I expected a little more waiter attention & food cooked as ordered. Yet another reason I usually stick with Cameron Mitchell restaurants instead.

Brunch was disappointing overall at a very nicely decorated and appointed restaurant. Service was attentive and professional, but the kitchen needs to spend a bit more time focusing on the quality of its food preparation and presentation. Our order of Eggs Benedict was very good, while an egg and crab cake dish served in a skillet appeared quite nice, but was overcooked and perhaps sat in the kitchen too long. Sunny side eggs were hard, and potatoes were soft and overcooked. The crag cake accompaniment was tender and tasty which salvaged the meal. The fruit side dish likely was sitting for a couple days as the fruit was soggy and tasteless. Given the service and ambiance of this location, we will give it one more try.
