An outstanding waiter made up for the fact that they were out of the Mushroom Soup that our cranky friend who's birthday (84) we were celabrating wanted to come for that reason . Food was outstanding (as usual)
We went to Lindey's for our Anniversary. First of all, they offer complimentary valet, which is a plus in German Village. The hostess was friendly from the start and the manager seated us, wished us a Happy Anniversary, and offered coat check. Our waitress was great! She offered a variety of drinks, items of the day, and was also very friendly. Our food was delicious! We had lobster bisque and a wedge salad, followed by a filet and lamb. Our dessert was also delicious! All was great! We plan to return in the future!
Phenomenal service. Great food, awesome atmosphere. Beautiful part of German Village.
Everyone loved their food selections, dessert was wonderful, and we had good service and all of the staff were attentive. We'll probably be back at some point!
The reviews on Lindeys were great. We planned to celebrate with my daughter on her birthday and had a reservation for 5:00 on Sunday. The atmosphere was great and they had a nice old bar which was beautiful. I order the special which was halibut with mussels. The halibut was good and prepared nicely. The mussels were fishy and didn't have a lot of flavor. My wife ordered lobster risotto. It was really bland and sticky. She said it didn't have any flavor. My daughter ordered the pork chop which was very good and one of their specialties. It was a very large portion and 1 1/2-2" thick pork chop. My daughter finished all but about 1-1 1/2" off the bone. I cut the meat off the bone to take home but it was completely raw!! The portion that my daughter did eat was cooked and it tasted delicious. My daughter asked that I not say anything and didn't want me to talk to the manager. I did however display the raw meat on her plate so our server could easily see the meat. He didn't say anything. Overall, I would say the prices are very reasonable but the food lacked attention. I'm sure if I returned, I could have a completely positive experience. The restaurant didn't appear busy but they turned away at least 2 or 3 parties that didn't have reservations. It's possible that they had 6:30 or 7:00 reservations. If I'm in the area, I would give Lindeys another chance.
The steak was cold and rare when I specifically mentioned twice for it to be medium rare. The linguine was delicious. Food came out very fast.
Great service. Fantastic service. Food was great but limited menu. And never really seem many changes. Due to the size of the restaurant it can be noisy but not terribly intrusive.
Really loud, people screaming at the bar. Cou
Vibrant restaurant! Very nice ambiance, comfortable, attentive service and a great meal. It was bustling on a Saturday night, but we were seated immediately upon arrival at a very nice corner table. We had the scallops, torchio and linguine pasta dishes. All were delicious. Definitely coming back to dine outside in the courtyard and try more menu items!
My wife and celebrated our five year wedding anniversary on Saturday 4/21 and we always go to Lindey’s for our special occasions. Our server Sam (Samantha on the receipt) was the epitome of perfection. She was kind, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went above and beyond to make our special day that much more special. It is people like Sam that will continually make Lindey’s THE BEST RESTAURANT IN THE CITY. The food portion and plating is always stellar, and everything was delicious. My wife and I will continue to be repeat customers as we have have never had a negative experience and the staff is just superb.
Food and service are great!! An awesome place to have dinner. Only issue was the back room was really loud so we had to move.
It is way too noisy....they need to install acoustic damping panels.
The food and service were excellent but we will not return unless the noise level issue is addressed.
Birthday. Great food
When in Columbus, a visit to German Village makes for a mellow couple of hours of shopping and sight seeing. Lindy's makes good, classy food and makes it well. The service is impeccable, and friendly. It would be a great place to visit for special occasions or just before a game down town, just a short drive away.
Many fine dining establishments feel stuffy, but here feels like family, like it would be your go to restaurant if you lived in the area.
A charming place, well worth a visit.
The service was bad. The lobster and shrimp risotto was good but pricy ($25).
My husband ordered a well done burger and it turned out barely cooked and hurt his stomach.
The manager offer a whole new well done burger and that was nice. No body apologized though.
Bathrooms are very clean and nice.
They played CNN there.
The have demon heads on their ceiling light.
Lindey’s menu, service and atmosphere great for any occasion. Compliments to server and chef. Great experience again.
Celebrated my moms 50th
One of my favorite spots for Sunday Brunch. Great food and kid friendly.
We were celebrating 3 birthdays with Sunday brunch and everything was perfect. Our server, Dillan, made our day as he was kind, sincere, attentive and pleasant. The food was outstanding, as usual, and the ambiance perfect. We even had 3 children, ages 4-10, and they were entertained with coloring menus and food they liked. Lindey’s will never disappoint!
Very pleasant brunch. Quality fare. Nothing exotic. Just fresh well prepared brunch items.
Excellent food and top notch service as always!
As short term visitors to Columbus (April 14-16),
we selected Lindeys especially because of my husband's fondness for its rotesserie chicken which proved to be very, very good!
Our reservation was for 8:30 and we were shown to our table immediately upon arrival.
The 15th was also my husbands birthday and we appreciated a corner table in the back room with less noise AND the free dessert.
On the negative side, the service was a bit slow in the beginning but eventually it caught up to speed.
All in all, a nice way for out of towners to celebrate a special occasion.
My daughters 9th birthday. We made the waiter aware and hey did bring her a dessert with a candle at my request.... however she did not receive her dessert in the house for her birthday, which surprised me.
One of the best restaurants in Columbus, for more than 30 years. Love this restaurant; great food and first class operation.
Poor service (slow, robotic), food not prepared as ordered (raw is not medium rare). Lindey's came highly recommended, but turned out to be an overall disapointment. Plenty of GREAT choices for steaks elsewhere in Columbus. Pass on this place.
I enjoy going to Lindey's. It is my favorite restaurant.
The restaurant is just lovely. The Bar area is beautiful. The service was excellent. The food is wonderful. The noise level was around our table made for difficult conversation. However, I realize we’re was a large party near by.
We ate at Lindey's pre-concert, and didn't have time for dessert, so can't comment on that! However, all 4 of us enjoyed our appetizers very much: Italian wedding soup, lobster bisque, and pot-stickers started off our meal. One member of our party had the hamburger and fries, which he said was quite good. The rest of us had the walleye special, which sounded delicious as described but, while good, wasn't nearly as great as we had expected. The fish wasn't as flaky as other walleye we had and could have used an extra dollop of the accompanying aioli (which was quite tasty). The roasted potatoes, haricots verts, and asparagus were nice, but unremarkable. I've had terrific meals here in the past, so left a little disappointed this time. But I'm certainly willing to return, as I assume this is not the new normal!
Our waitress was warm, friendly, and attentive without hovering, and she respected our need to be on our way by a certain time.
Everything was wonderful. We don't get much time to come to German village. Lindeys makes it worth it every time.
Good service and liked the French press coffee
Nice restaurant BUT too noisy!! Management should offer ear plugs. People should use their inside voices when in close quarters. I realize it is a difficult problem.
Top notch service, always very good food, wine, variety of choices.
The Steak Frites was great! The day's special, a mahi, was pretty good just not as great as my hubby's steak! The service was great getting us in and out in a timely manner before the symphony. When I asked for a red blend, a wonderful french wine was brought! We have heard many good reports for many years and now we are eager to return.
Love this place! The service is always great and I love the ambience, not too dimly lit and not loud, great for conversation. The food is also extremely good!
The fare was exceptional! Enjoy a true treat.
Lindey’s set the standard for fine dining. The food is consistently first rate and the service is exceptional. Tonight we celebrated our daughter’s birthday at her favorite restaurant and we were not disappointed... we had a wonderful time from fine service (by Britna and a host of assistants) to perfectly prepared food and creative drinks.
We love stopping at Lindy's on our way through Columbus. We always get a good meal!
AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE. Best restaurant in columbus by far
Very good service and Food. Interesting menu. Nice wine selection
Greatest restaurant in Columbus and top ranking world wide! I live in NYC and NEVER miss Lindey’s when I am back in Columbus. Everything about this restaurant is perfection! Had the best server, Feather, as well! Don’t miss this spot if you haven’t been.
