Lindey's is a high-energy, white tablecloth restaurant serving the finest American cuisine in an upper east side New York bistro setting. Nestled in historic German Village, the design incorporates original artwork, bentwood chairs, copper topped bars and hardwood floors. With its exciting and vibrant atmosphere, Lindey's has three main dining rooms, three private party rooms and an award winning outdoor courtyard that has been voted one of the top 100 patios in America by OpenTable.
with sherry chantilly, chives and diced shrimp
8 oz. new york strip, house steak butter, fries with rosemary & reggiano cheese, house steak sauce and petite arugula salad with herb mustard vinaigrette
jumbo lump blue crab, spicy avocado aioli, potato rosti, sauted spinach, roasted tomatoes, charred citrus horseradish vinaigrette and tomato oil drizzle
Had a later reservation were seated immediately. All good, Food and Wine tasted great. Will return when crowds start coming back.
We thoroughly enjoyed the patio!!! The food was delicious, and the service was good and professional! Thank you!
Lindey’s is always good. Great place to eat in German Village. Will go back.
Lindy's remains my favorite restaurant in the Columbus area. With the COVID-19 restrictions it was quieter and tables were well placed. Food was, as usual excellent. Service was attentive but not overbearing. I would and have recommeneded Lindy's to many people.
For consistent good food in a relaxed environment, go to Lindeys
OUTSTANDING in every regard. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!!! Well done.
To say that my group had an amazing time would be an understatement! The Lindey's team made sure that every detail was well orchestrated. In the few instances where something was slightly off, they went above and beyond to accommodate. Having visited a few times, this treatment was not special. This is their norm. We are so thankful and are already looking forward to our next visit.
Terrible service , cold food, a shrimp and calamari that was marginal at best! The server was no where to be found. I’ve bragged to our out of state friends about this place and was very disappointed! Been going there for years and I’m a past server and manager of a restaurant, won’t be back anytime soon. The servicer was terrible which is why we left 6 percent tip!
The waiter was friendly, the decor beautiful, and the food absolutely exquisite.
Food always excellent. Nice selection with reduced menu.
Gorgeous patio, excellent food, first-class waiters
As always, the very best restaurant in Columbus. We really missed the buzz of “the bistro” that is a hallmark of the ambiance. It was my wife’s 70 birthday dinner. It was terrific.
Thank you for exceptional service Friday evening. My guest had a meal she didn't care for and a new meal was brought out with no problem.
Lunch at Lindey's was outstanding! Lindey's is taking great care during the coronavirus pandemic to keep dining safe without detracting from the experience. We ate indoors on a chilly day without worry of compromising our health. All protocols were followed. The food was, as always, delicious as was the service and atmosphere. One of the best places in Columbus to eat!
We arrived 30 minutes before closing, due to a late flight, and the staff, service, and food were outstanding.
The best restaurant in Columbus. Love everything on the menu but my favorites are the lobster bisque, shrimp pasta and steak frites!
Lindy's is top quality for service, always dependably delicious, and a lively atmosphere. Valet parking makes it easy in busy German Village. I consider it a special treat.
Anniversary dinner..... very enjoyable great service and food.
Food was really good. Lamb and halibut my family ordered was so good but the special mahi mahi was just ok. They were already out of the risotto at 7pm.
Had reservations but wanted to dine outside and ended up waiting over 40 minutes. Dining outside is first come first serve and that was not disclosed at time of reservations.
Overall would definitely go back just for the halibut.
Not up to usual Lindsey’s standards. Server had an attitude from the minute we sat down and got worse. One person had an issue with something missing from his order and she insisted it was there when it clearly wasn’t. She was pretty rude and also didn’t put the whole order in and then when we tried to re-order, that item was “out”. Probably won’t be back anytime soon.
Went for brunch. Lobster bisque was terrific. Very good Bloody Mary. Crab and Eggs also top notch. Excellent service. Safe environment.
Had the Bees Knees, Old Fashioned, Fried shrimp and Calamari, Steak and Frites, Crab cake, all amazing to the "T"
Everyone’s food was amazing. Trevor was a great server. We had a wonderful time
the appetizers were excellent as always, drinks and service was exceptiinal as always but the chicken entree was a real disappointment, missing the mashed potatoes and green beans - how it was before. now it just comes on a bed of warm lettuce...
Meal and server were great if not a little overpriced. There was some confusion about us having a reservation seated outside and found the staff to be brusque and unfriendly. We were about to leave the restaurant before we found out some in our group had already been seated.
The carpaccio app was the finest that we had encountered anywhere.
Crab cakes sometimes have an overabundance of cracker crumbs but at Lindey's - there seem to be none-nada-zilch, just 100% crab. Trout was delicate and quite ample and the desserts decadent.
The patio had widely-spaced tables and we saw a manager checking temperatures of the staff. If you are concerned during these time, Lindey's seems to be going beyond the average.
Without a doubt Lindey's is on our short frequent returnee list!
We had an early dinner starting at 4 PM on Saturday as they were booked up. We dined outside on the upstairs patio. We had the Tomato Caprese appetizer and the Lobster Bisque soup which was excellent. Our entrees were the Risotto and the Halibut, both were very good. Dessert was the Lindey's Post Mortem (brownie with coffee ice cream and hot fudge... excellent). The "press pot" coffee not only tasted great but had a pleasing coffee aroma that really stood out. Chris was our waiter. We were very pleased with his service. We would definitely return.
Went here for a date night while visiting Columbus. Picked this place out with high expectations, and they were somehow exceeded. From the cocktails to start right after sitting down, to the coffee and dessert 2 hours later, this was a truly complete dinner. The entire staff was helpful and friendly. Can not recommend enough!
Awsome great waitress
Great place for a special occasion as our anniversary. Best patio in town. Always a terrific dining experience.
Excellent food, service was a little less attentive than it could have been, as our waiter was doubling as the bartender (or the other way around). Good waiter, helpful with wine selection.
Overall a good experience. I have been going to Lindey's for 4 decades. I had lost some of it's luster, but seems to back up to it's old excellent self.
Long known as one of the good ones, Lindey's doesn't disappoint. Service, food were both good. The atmosphere is delightful if you can be in the courtyard on a nice evening, as I was. I highly recommend it.
My husband had shrimp and angel hair and he didn’t like it so I had to switch with him. I liked it. But for the price, I was disappointed in the ambiance and a rickety old chair at a small 2 person table when the restaurant was empty.
Daniel was our server and he was excellent.
Nice place to go out and eat. Really great ambiance and the service was good. The lamb was a little over cooked but still tasty and the other people with me enjoyed their meal. Drinks were very good as well.
Excellent experience with everything and well done in a COVID world. Highly recommend.
Everyone enjoyef their meal. Celebrated my son's birthday.
My first actual in restaurant dinner since March. Lindeys came through as always with our safety and comfort in mind, great service and a terrific meal. Wanted to dine outdoors but it was raining, so we were inside. Tables well spaced, everyone following Covid protocols. Thanks for a lovely experience!
During these crazy times, dining outdoors is always the most comfortable. The back terrace, both up and down are lovely and loaded with cafe heaters. It was a beautiful and memorable experience. Oh, and did I mention, the food was simply amazing! We asked if the kitchen could do half and half with an order of the beef filet and lump crab Benedicts. The chef wanted us to know that it could be done, but would not look as attractive. Ha! We should have taken a photo. It looked exquisite and had an explosion of flavors. They’ve been in business since 1981 and it’s truly understandable given the attention to every detail they provide.
first time visiting and we will definitely be back! amazing atmosphere, food and drinks!
