Ambiance good but just a tad loud. Difficult to carry on conversation with someone across the table. Food very good but asked for medium on lamb chops but they were over done.
Excellent food and service - restaurant is beautifully decorated too
Amazing !!! Best restaurant in town!!!
Perfect family night celebrating our daughters birthday. Food was delicious and Emily the waitress was wonderful.
this is the place
We were early so crowd was very comfortable. We sometimes like to eat at the bar and will likely return to do that.
Food was awesome. The fried oyster risotto was fantastic. Frank, our server, did a great job. So great to be able to walk to this German Village Gem.
One member of our party travels with a task trained service animal for assistance. We were informed that Lindey’s has a strict no pet policy and it was demanded by the hostess, and later the manager, that we provide documentation/certification for the animal. The manager continued to insist on proof and asked questions about the individual and the animal that are outside those allowed under the ADA. After 10 minutes, the manager stated that he would allow us to dine because the animal was wearing a guide harness and clearly badged as a service animal . He further stated that he would seat us “in the back” so that the other patrons did not have to trip over it. I reminded him that while he was focused on the animal, it was actually a person that he was planning to seat “in the back”. As we did not feel at all welcome, we chose to leave and find a different venue to celebrate our anniversary.
Very disappointed and we will not be returning.
Pros: The food was so good. Worth the price. Our waiter was very nice, well spoken and attentive. When one of my guests asked for a black napkin instead of a white one to keep her slacks nice, he was very quick to accommodate. Our waiter was spot on with his wine recommendations. My guests were very impressed with their meal. (as was I)
Cons: My paper menu had what looked to be lip gloss smeared on it. And, I should of followed up, but in my Opentable reservation, I put that it was a celebration and asked if I could have a bottle of champagne waiting at the table when we arrived. There was no bottle, but I didn't want to bring it up in front of my guests who weren't aware I had planned that. Again, I probably should of double checked but that was a bit of a bummer.
Overall, will for sure be my top spot for nice nights out!
Excellent! Our favorite restaurant. Highly recommend!!
Delicious lunch, perfect table - I think you should keep the plexiglass, it makes the experience more private/intimate. Thank you to the bartender who shared some Lindey’s background and affiliates in my hometown Cleveland. It was great to talk with him - I felt welcome. Thank you!
It was my wife’s birthday. I had to make the server aware as he never asked. Food was great.
Went for 30th bday! Great service. Servers very friendly! Enjoyed the tournedos of beef filet. Huckleberry fig drink was a decent holiday drink, combo of bitter then sweet. Chose creme brûlée as my free bday dessert ☺️
We try to get to Lindey’s as often as possible when in Columbus. The menu is always a good variety for the whole family and everything tastes great. This long time local place has amazing service every time. Inside our out, one of our favorite spots!
Fantastic dinner. Lamb was delicious.
Very small portions. I got the 2 crab cakes for $40. It was maybe 1 and 1/4 crab cakes and very overpriced. Like most restaurants the tables are small. Barely enough room for plates and cocktails. Food tasted good and the staff was professional but for the $200 price tag I don’t think we will be back. Too many other options in Columbus.
Lindey’s is usually our go-to, and we understand staffing and other issues due to the ongoing pandemic, but this was one of the worst Lindey’s experiences ever. Our food was cold, it took over three hours for us to have brunch because our waiter simply disappeared for long periods, and our order was given to us wrong at the table. This is how Lindey’s used to be decades ago when you’d come for a work lunch at noon but not leave until dinner service at 5pm because the service was so poor and slow. This can’t possibly be the legacy Sue Doody wanted to leave behind. Additionally, the last few times I had carry out from Lindey’s there was hair in my food. I contacted management each time and never heard back. Gone are the days when Lindey’s was the absolute best restaurant in the city and the only option for upscale eating. We’re an over saturated market, so you’d think a restaurant of this caliber would try to keep up.
Always great on all counts. A Columbus institution that can match up with the best restaurants in the country.
Love everything about this place, everyone worked together to make sure each customer is taken care of in a timely manner and the food taste was flavorful
We had a lovely brunch! Our server was so charismatic and made the experience special. The food was wonderful of course.
My wife and I had brunch at Lindeys. It was excellent. I had eggs benedict and it was the best I've had. My wife had a crab cake and told me she didn't know it held together there was so much crab. We can't wait to go back.
Appreciate the late night reservation to celebrate my daughter’s choir concert that evening. Always a favorite place to eat!
Lindey’s went above and beyond to accommodate my guest and I for a special dinner. We didn’t feel rushed, the staff was very nice and accommodating and the food and ambiance was just what we were looking for. We look forward to another night here in the future!
Killer every time!
My biggest problem with Lindey’s is their alcohol pours. They have always had extremely small wine pours, but now, the cocktails were exceptionally small! I live in the neighborhood and many of my friends don’t like to frequent the restaurant because of this.
Food was excellent. Server not totally o top of bread serve, water fill ups, etc.
Nice place for a romantic dinner, my friends were all on awe.
Excellent food and service for brunch.
Excellent service and food as always!!
Such great service and food was amazing!
We went there to celebrate an anniversary, and everything was on point, from our food to our delightful server Emily. Kudos!
This was our third trip to Lindey’s. They continue to impress us with great meals and generally good service. This trip was centered around a Ohio State basketball game and the restaurant is just 15 minutes from Schottenstein Center so great location for us.
This was the first restaurant of this caliber that we've been to since being vaccinated and it was a wonderful experience in every way!
One of the few places we always go to when we're in town. Great ambience, very good food, fun location in German Town, service is always very good.
Waitress was great. It just took a long time to get our entree and then our dinner.
Food was amazing, very clean and well presented restaurant. Staff was great and the our waiter was amazing! Personable and very professional but made us feel comfortable and welcomed.
This was our first time patronizing Lindey's. The ambience was wonderful, our waitress was engaging, delightful and efficient and our meal was fantastic. Appreciated that we could make the reservation online.
Excellent. Great table. Excellent server. Food outstanding.
Wow!!! Great service RS and wonderful brunch. Well done.
We love Lindy’s. The menu is always great and the service excellent. Best patio in town.
