Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant
Built with the intention of being a comfortable meeting spot for locals looking to share stories at the end of their long day, Lincoln draws inspiration from it’s surrounding, hard-working, and uniquely American neighborhood.
Revitalizing a nearly forgotten West Broadway space that at one time housed the area’s only department store, Lincoln feels nostalgic. It’s open-air, tiled-floor cafe, grande bar, and soaring, original tin ceilings remind us of a time when dining halls and supper clubs were a way of life.
Although there was an issue with the heat and the bathrooms were extremely cold, it was an enjoyable experience with very good food and a great atmosphere.
Great service and delicious food. Nice ambiance and nice that they have two bars. Will go back!
We made reservations for dinner at 8:15 pm and found the atmosphere to be an active bar scene with loud music which didn't allow us to talk with our guests. The food was barely passable so maybe we just ordered wrong e.g. soggy pizza, coconut shrimp. So, our lesson learned - don't go on a weekend night if you expect to have an enjoyable dinner with friends. The service was good.
Very loud, very young crowd.
Cool place to eat, despite it being very loud. Service and food were both excellent.
nice setting, reasonable on street parking, organized and professional staff. large restaurant filled with millennials for Saturday brunch. some yelling between tables to friends. the main issue was the LOUD MUSIC NOISE THAT MANAGEMENT THINKS ADDS AMBIANCE. MANAGEMENT IS WRONG. tin roof wood floors and high ceilings don’t need background music that loud. even the millennials were bent at 45 degrees towards the others at their table to converse. Food and staff and service is phenomenal but i will never go back. i recommend noise cancelling two communication setups if you go. the issue is bad management.
Always love to go to Lincoln. Kayla was a GREAT waitress and the food is amazing. Test kitchen forever!!!
I am biased - but I love this place.
Very noisy, and awful service. Took about 20 minutes to get our first drinks and main course came before appetizers. Food was great though
Brunch at the Lincoln Tavern is a must! The food and service is top notch!! Must try, highly recommended! Got the fruity pebbles pancakes and the breakfast pizza. Both delicious!!
Some of the best food in Boston. Had the burger which was amazing
Great brunch option and very nice waitress!
To much noise
We are from Ohio and Chicago. In town for a wedding. Ate here on the suggestion of our Uber driver. Plus they had a lot of TVs for the Rose Bowl. We expected average bar good but instead we got above average to excellent food! Drinks were good. Service was awesome. Friendly waitress and very honest at menu suggestions.
The Lincoln Tavern was a disappointment for dinner. The issue was noise. It was so very loud that I couldn't speak with anyone in the party. I would not recommend the Lincoln Tavern for that reason. Plenty of Southie kiddies drinking and spreading their wings - a rather immature atmosphere best sums it up. Have fun !!
Not a lot of vegetarian options besides pizza. Wish they had a veggie burger!
Great Friday brunch! Highly recommend everything on the menu! Breakfast pizza was delicious!! Great service and atmosphere.
I am in walking distance to this restaurant so it is convenient. They make a great martini.
Neighborhood gem! Awesome food and great service.
Love this spot!
Waitress was mean and acted like she didn’t want us there.
The Food and the wait staff were outstanding, I can't wait till my return visit to see if it happens all the time
Excellent !! Not a bad thing to say. Food was excellent as was service !
Lincoln consistently has great food!
If you like being in a loud bar scene, this is the place for you. Food is interesting and good, but couldn't hear what my friend said. At all.
Great food and hopping atmosphere. Noise level was rather loud, so not great for conversation. Loved our server!
Fun spot, loved that it was decorated for Christmas and they played Christmas music. Definitely need a reservation otherwise you will have a lengthy wait. Good cocktails. Not many gf options and no gf bread items
The fruity pebble pancakes are like taking a bite out of your childhood — highly recommend!
Great experience. Great service and food
Lexie is awesome!!
They gave me the wrong dish. But it’s ok I know it was an accident 🙂. Besides that, it was a nice restaurant. *Note to self* don’t come here during a college football game ;) xD
I called a few days before the reservation because I had miscounted how many guests we’d have, and needed to add a seat. The hostess told me that she absolutely could not accommodate us because we would be sitting in a booth and they cannot add any seats. So unfortunately I had to tell one of my friends not to come.
When we arrived, we were seated at a table (not a booth) and we had plenty of space to add a chair and accommodate one more person. This was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I would have appreciated an update from the restaurant to let me know a table was available and that they could now accommodate my entire party.
We arrived late and missed our reservation but the hostess graciously reinstated it and sat us in a booth as we had requested. That was such a welcome start to our night--already frustrated by the parking scene. We were immediately provided water and menus. Service is really attentive here which is great! All the staff seem to pitch in to help any table needed. The food was definitely worth the parking hassle. Their quinoa kale salmon bowl is excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad is not overwhelmed by dressing. Would definitely order it again. We are also eager to come back and try brunch. They have such interesting sounding items that just like for dinner it will undoubtedly be hard to choose.
The Lincoln is a lively restaurant friendly and efficient. She could tell we were there to sit for a while and she let us do that. She was there when needed but never pushy or out of sight. She had a large section and seemed to manage it all very well. They take reservations now for brunch which they didn’t do before and it’s recommended. It gets busy fast.
First time we dined at Lincoln- food and service we’re very good! Great neighborhood establishment!! We’ll be back...
Food was amazing. Bar was PACKED with millennials and super loud. Fun people (drunk) watching though.
Food was really good along with the service. Crowded and loud on a Saturday night with football games on multiple screens. Fun atmosphere if you're looking for a lively place but tough for table conversation.
My guest and I enjoyed the brunch and lunch respectively. I loved the pastrami sandwich on rye which was moist and savory. I went on a Saturday and the volume of noise was to a level that we could not hold a conversation. The server even suggested returning during the weekday when they would offer the fried chicken sandwich.
Great service & great staff. Knowledgeable of Celiac allergy.
We had a great experience at Lincoln! It has a happening vibe, busy and loud in a good way. The menu is interesting and the food was delicious. The staff was fantastic and made us feel like we had their undivided attention. We would definitely go back!
