Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant
Built with the intention of being a comfortable meeting spot for locals looking to share stories at the end of their long day, Lincoln draws inspiration from it’s surrounding, hard-working, and uniquely American neighborhood.
Revitalizing a nearly forgotten West Broadway space that at one time housed the area’s only department store, Lincoln feels nostalgic. It’s open-air, tiled-floor cafe, grande bar, and soaring, original tin ceilings remind us of a time when dining halls and supper clubs were a way of life.

The food was incredible but the service was only okay
I’m not from Boston, but I go to Lincoln for dinner every time I come to Boston bc the food is amazing and fresh. It’s all delicious! I highly recommend this American Food. The owners also own a couple other restaurants in the area that I cannot wait to try when I go back.
Lincoln is my favorite spot to bring visitors from out of town any time of day! stopped by twice this weekend and both times everyone was impressed!
Get the Burger!!
Good food, very loud. It’s a fun environment, but the food isn’t amazing like it was when it first opened.
First time having brunch there (always eat dinner) and brought friends from out of town. Everyone loved!
Good food. Service was a little slow. Loud, but a fun bar scene in Southie.
Had a wonderful brunch and would highly recommend the breakfast pizza.
Good food, drinks were great, service was quick and friendly. Would go again!!!
It was our first night in Boston. We were out wandering wanting to find something away from the convention centre. When locals are waiting for a table that's where I want to be. Found Lincoln Tavern on a Google map. Drinks were excellent, the food was great, though the Jerk Chicken could use a little more work, and dessert was brilliant.
Very spacious, The lincoln burger is The best burger I ever had in Boston and believe me I don’t give positive reviews so easily! I had burgers from the best and most expensive restaurants in the city but lincoln burger is the best so far.
You should definitely order the starter goat cheese with fig marmalade. Yummy.
Not very excited with the cocktails but the service was excellent and helpful.
I will definitely go back again
It was a special occasion for a graduation and it was specified on the reservation but our server did not mention it. Other places offer a dessert as a complimentary item for the special occasion.
Good food but expect slow service.
Great food and atmosphere. The Friday test kitchen brunch had lots of interesting dishes, which all sounded delicious. One of our favorite stops on our trip to Boston
Came to Lincoln Tavern for my friend's 21st and we could not have picked a better spot! Great food, great drink menu, and completely worth the 45 minute uber ride over. We will definitely be coming back!
Food was great.
Very noisy place...more a bar then a restaurant.
Parking is a challenge; be prepared to wait even with a reservation. Reasonably priced good food. Best suited for millennials who enjoy the bar scene.
Excellent service and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts and shrimp taco apps and the hangar steak. Brownie sundae topped off the meal.
Lincoln as always is packed with early twenty somethings looking to booze it up after work. Wiener Wednesday special was the ranchero dog which was awesome. The food at lincoln is consistently late. Draw back is the crowd and sub par service.
While the noise level kept us from always hearing each other, the food, service, overall happiness of the crowd and the fact that it was the night post Boston Marathon - LTandR hit the spot! Great entrees, reasonably priced, awesome 6 person booth with enough room for all 6 of us. We enjoyed the evening very much. A bar is gonna be loud, so we adjusted! Thank you!
We had a great time!
Food was pretty good. Nothing special. Bar scene starts early and goes all night. Very loud with chatter and music. Better for groups of friends than family. Would go back, but not for a sit-down dinner.
Great food, menu is amazing. Cool vibe and decoration.
It was my boyfriend's birthday and the staff brought him an ice cream. It was incredibly sweet.
Waitress was amazing!
Was a little cold by the door
Food was great, service could have been better
Make a reservation if you want to eat dinner at this hotspot! We did and were glad. Service was good, and the food was great. Loud and lively scene around dinner time. You can bring a group with or without kids, but it will be loud. Worth a visit for sure!
Came here for brunch and it's a cool looking space, but the food didn't blow me away. Husband's french toast was undercooked and super squishy. The huevos rancheros were ok. Think I just prefer my chorizo ground vs whole sausage. Nitro coffee was good.
I might give the place another try for lunch/dinner, but for a brunch spot there are better options out there.
Great food. Loud. Hard to have a conversation
If you enjoy yelling across the table to be heard than this is the place to go.
Noise level from bar made dinner conversation difficult.
Solid food. Great place to hang out with friends, watch a game...
We were pleasantly surprised as the simple exterior opened up into an expansive & welcoming interior. The staff was pleasant & attentive right from the start making our first experience here exceptional. We came in for the brunch mid-week which is a limited version of the weekend menu. I really wanted the French toast with berries & roasted nuts - but we learned it was only available on the weekend. Our waitress suggested a breakfast plate option which was not on the menu as an alternative - it was exceptional - loads of crispy bacon, eggs done nicely, and an interesting version of home fries - small whole potatoes cooked tender with lots of flavor. We'll definitely be back when travelling to Boston in the future - maybe for lunch.
Hip location in South End. Very lively with good ambiance. The place is huge and well decorated. Menu has great options for both foodies and vegetarians. Handcrafted cocktails were fantastic & service was on point. Group of 4 and we sampled lots of items. Burgers could have an epic poem written about them. (Bacon jam!!) Brussels were amazing, as well as salmon quinoa bowel, sliders, pizza, and truffle Mac. One of the best and most fun dinners we had in Boston.
Great, as per usual.
Friday Test Kitchen Brunch was delicious! The spicy bloody mary was amazing while the food was innovative, beautiful, and delicous! I highly recommend Lincoln Tavern and plan to return to explore other lunch and dinner menu options.
The food was fantastic - side of truffle fries is a must!
