Excellent service and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts and shrimp taco apps and the hangar steak. Brownie sundae topped off the meal.
While the noise level kept us from always hearing each other, the food, service, overall happiness of the crowd and the fact that it was the night post Boston Marathon - LTandR hit the spot! Great entrees, reasonably priced, awesome 6 person booth with enough room for all 6 of us. We enjoyed the evening very much. A bar is gonna be loud, so we adjusted! Thank you!
We had a great time!
Food was pretty good. Nothing special. Bar scene starts early and goes all night. Very loud with chatter and music. Better for groups of friends than family. Would go back, but not for a sit-down dinner.
Great food, menu is amazing. Cool vibe and decoration.
It was my boyfriend's birthday and the staff brought him an ice cream. It was incredibly sweet.
Waitress was amazing!
Was a little cold by the door
Food was great, service could have been better
Make a reservation if you want to eat dinner at this hotspot! We did and were glad. Service was good, and the food was great. Loud and lively scene around dinner time. You can bring a group with or without kids, but it will be loud. Worth a visit for sure!
Came here for brunch and it's a cool looking space, but the food didn't blow me away. Husband's french toast was undercooked and super squishy. The huevos rancheros were ok. Think I just prefer my chorizo ground vs whole sausage. Nitro coffee was good.
I might give the place another try for lunch/dinner, but for a brunch spot there are better options out there.
Great food. Loud. Hard to have a conversation
If you enjoy yelling across the table to be heard than this is the place to go.
Noise level from bar made dinner conversation difficult.
Solid food. Great place to hang out with friends, watch a game...
We were pleasantly surprised as the simple exterior opened up into an expansive & welcoming interior. The staff was pleasant & attentive right from the start making our first experience here exceptional. We came in for the brunch mid-week which is a limited version of the weekend menu. I really wanted the French toast with berries & roasted nuts - but we learned it was only available on the weekend. Our waitress suggested a breakfast plate option which was not on the menu as an alternative - it was exceptional - loads of crispy bacon, eggs done nicely, and an interesting version of home fries - small whole potatoes cooked tender with lots of flavor. We'll definitely be back when travelling to Boston in the future - maybe for lunch.
Hip location in South End. Very lively with good ambiance. The place is huge and well decorated. Menu has great options for both foodies and vegetarians. Handcrafted cocktails were fantastic & service was on point. Group of 4 and we sampled lots of items. Burgers could have an epic poem written about them. (Bacon jam!!) Brussels were amazing, as well as salmon quinoa bowel, sliders, pizza, and truffle Mac. One of the best and most fun dinners we had in Boston.
Great, as per usual.
Friday Test Kitchen Brunch was delicious! The spicy bloody mary was amazing while the food was innovative, beautiful, and delicous! I highly recommend Lincoln Tavern and plan to return to explore other lunch and dinner menu options.
The food was fantastic - side of truffle fries is a must!
Food was awesome as always! Reservations are a must as this place is always hopping with the line outside on the sidewalk. Our server and service was great as well. Little pricey but worth it as the food is superb and far from your typical “tavern” food. The noise level in this place was out of control - granted it was a Saturday night and the bar was packed - but if you want to come here for quiet conversation definitely skip the weekend nights. Otherwise this place is perfect for a friend’s get together or a fun night out.
Wonderful as always! I had the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. They were also very accommodating for my friends allergies! Service was prompt and friendly.
Came here because it was on the Eater 38, and didn't realize what a scene it was until we arrived and saw the line outside. Luckily we had a reservation, so as soon as our whole party was there we were able to check-in and were seated 5 minutes later. The food is "upscale bar food" and they do it well - we had a good pizza and a better-than-you'd-expect salad. Other couple had fried chicken and a pastrami sandwich, both of which looked great. Whole place was crowded and very loud, so depends what you are looking for. People watching was fantastic - actually saw a guy rip his shirt off as he was being kicked out (ultimate in irony).
We loved this place! Made reservations for my boyfriend's birthday - our server was zen amidst the chaos of a Saturday night, the food was incredible, the communication amongst the staff was great and the drinks are killer. The only cons were that we didn't know how the Saturday scene was going to be - it's undeniably a hot spot for drunk singles, so if you're trying to have a romantic night, this is NOT the place on the weekend (keep your honey close). But, if you can push past the loud and crazy, this makes for a really fun date night. Next time, I'd probably do brunch on a Sunday just to enjoy this place when the volume is at a lower decibel, because their food is unreal!
Tasty food - the wings were amazing & loved the Brussel Sprouts, also great drinks - the Lady Lincoln was very tasty.
Lincoln is always the go-to spot for friends! Awesome staff, food, and drinks
We sat at the back bar and watched them make pizza, it was so much fun! Super clean and our server was there at all the important times. The staff really helps each other out to make sure things are running smoothly. Yep you all got yourselves some new regulars!
Friday brunch test kitchen was great! lots of options -- they're busy around noon, so make sure you gave a reservation.
One of the best spots in South Boston! Good for a drink and an app, brunch, dinner, or late-ish night menu. My favorite is Friday's Brunch Test Kitchen, but their menu all the time is something you'll want to try! Always great service, always great/hot food.
#1 the buratta cheese was gross, cold, sour #2 the got cheese ravioli was OVER SEASONED, cold, and you could tell it was plated hours prior. #3 the "s'mores donuts" should not be called "s'mores donuts" they were cold, bread balls with a sugar glaze, and a hot fudge sauce (that was cold too).... no marshmallows or graham crackers… So I just don't understand the whole meaning behind the name they were gross too. Lastly #4 my boyfriend ordered the short rib dish (which he orders all the time via take out from Lincoln, and it's great) however, this time, that was not the case. His meal was also cold, and not only was it cold, it was almost all fat! That part that he could eat required a steak knife which we had to hunt our inattentive waiter down for (15 min). Short rib should not require a steak knife. It looked, and tasted like a bad piece of meet. The noise level in there was ridiculous! We were on a Valentine's Day date, we had an awful meal, super slow service, and we couldn't hear each other talk. Everyone in there was basically screaming at each other in order to communicate given it gets SOOOO loud in the back room. Too bad I used to like Lincoln, food, service, atmosphere.... sucks. Sorry not sorry guys.
Always great food and great service at Lincoln!
Lincoln is a great neighborhood staple of Southie. The food is always good and everyone should try the Brunch Test Kitchen on Fridays at least once! While I love Lincoln, and I will continue to go there, they seem to consistently understaff the restaurant during dinner service. For this reason, do not go to Lincoln if you are in a rush, the service can be incredibly slow.
Always a good time! Can get a little loud but it adds to the all around feel. GET THE MINI BURGERS!
Waitstaff is always very good. My son has food allergies and they always take good care of us. Food is great. A bit noisy but that is good for families with kids as they can be as loud as they want and no one notices.
Awesome pizza on national pizza day!
We went for brunch test kitchen. Originally we were underwhelmed by the menu, there were a lot of non-brunch dishes, but we were lucky enough to get to try a few items in addition to our meals, and everything was outstanding. The banana split french toast was out of this world, hope it makes its way onto the regular menu! The boozy strawberry shake and banana eclairs were also absurdly delicious. Might consider different music, but you can't please everyone. The service was great, and we overall had an awesome time. Would definitely return and recommend to others!
Went here for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. We had a reservation for 1pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. The place was pretty crowded for weekend brunch so keep that in mind when going there. It was pretty loud because of all the people day drinking but that's to be expected. Food was delicious and the waitress did a great job. Would definitely go back.
The brunch was awesome, and I loved the atmosphere. Great for gamedays and to get your weekend started.
It was great. Waitress was super nice and attentive. The only downside is they did not fulfill my special request. Otherwise I would’ve given it a 5 star rating
Had a great dinner with friends. Wings were the best. Pizza and short ribs were OK. service was great. Very lively crowd of young professional types. A great place to go with friends.
