Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant
Built with the intention of being a comfortable meeting spot for locals looking to share stories at the end of their long day, Lincoln draws inspiration from it’s surrounding, hard-working, and uniquely American neighborhood.
Revitalizing a nearly forgotten West Broadway space that at one time housed the area’s only department store, Lincoln feels nostalgic. It’s open-air, tiled-floor cafe, grande bar, and soaring, original tin ceilings remind us of a time when dining halls and supper clubs were a way of life.
Second visit, but first time on a Saturday evening. Noise level at 87dB made normal conversation nearly impossible. Service was attentive. Avocado Brussel Sprouts and Falafel Bites appetizers very tasty. Two dishes were disappointing: (1) coconut shrimp salad arrived sans any shrimp, crispy fried chicken arrived late and was composed only of drumsticks. Management responded with apologies, additional free side salad, and a single slice of pumpkin cheesecake to be shared. Good spot for drinks and game watching, but would not recommend for dinner if table conversation is desirable.
Delicious food as always!
Great spot to get together with some friends. Had a really great server, was very helpful. I expected a little more from the food although there were some prizes, the sliders were amazing.
Only issue was the bouncer wouldn’t let us in after we told him we had a dinner reservation. He firmly told us that Lincoln was at max. capacity and we had to get to the back of the line. After some back and forth, he grabbed the manager and we were allowed in, but no apology on the bouncer’s end.
It created a bad first impression for our out-of-town friends visiting.
Incredible, inventive dishes and delightful atmosphere. Wonderful brunch; great for a date or unwinding with friends.
We had a lovely anniversary dinner here.
Great food and service. Highly recommended!
Great food, steak sandwich was awesome! Great beer on tap and the bartender was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. Great place!
MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT EVER ! :)
Good food and service but VERY loud.
Our server Amanda was great!
Tasty food! Was busy and definitely would recommend a reservation. Will visit again when in boston
Love this brunch!!
They welcomed us with free champagne because we were celebrating a birthday and engagement!
It was awesome. My only complaint was that it was so loud.
Good food......good service and good pricing but noise ruined dining experience.
Had wood grilled ribeye!! One of the best in Boston!
French fries were awful!
Visiting Boston and thought the food was great. Nice atmosphere - a bit of “vibe” - not a quiet place for dinner.
Lincoln never disappoints. The food is always thoughtfully-prepared and of the highest quality. I'm thrilled that I finally got to try Lincoln Brunch Test Kitchen. Such an innovative and fun concept. I wish they offered it one Saturday and/or Sunday a month! I got the bacon, egg, and cheese omelette sandwich. It was a great egg sandwich. The bread was fluffy, the eggs were soft and cooked-perfectly, and the aioli was super flavorful.
Wonderful, recommend to anyone.
We went to Lincoln tavern specifically for their fruity pebbles pancakes as it came up as a “have to try food in Boston.” We went at 10am in the morning on a Monday right when they open. We were seated and then waited for 12 minutes before a server ever came to us to greet us and take our drink order. The only thing we ordered was 1 order of the fruity pebble pancakes which came as a 4-stack. It took 30 minutes until we received it which is a pretty long time to wait considering they weren’t busy (only 3 other tables seated) and it was the only thing we ordered. Now, on first look the pancakes looked delicious and inviting. We were excited to dig in. Let’s just say the hype wasn’t worth the calories. The pancake recipe itself was really dense and the pancakes actually weren’t cooked enough (still doughy/undercooked center). The concept of the fruity pebbles added was a good one but execution was lacking. All in all we were disappointed and wouldn’t order it again.
Very good place but way too loud. Food took a long time to arrive. Also waiter forgot our drinks and when they finally arrive the sodas were really with no gas. Food was good.
Good food and drink. Service and ambiance was also good. Would go back.
Nice time, birthday brunch
The food was very plain without much flavor. Was pretty disappointed for brunch. The waitress was wonderful though.
GREAT food - beautiful old wooden booths. Front of house very noisy bar scene, but if you prefer quiet request a table in the back - completely different dining experience and very quiet. Loved this place.
The grilled chicken sandwich came out pink, which the waiter said was the Himalayan salt but it honestly looked raw and my friend didn’t eat any of it. The Sangria had no fruit and the wings were extremely salty. The only thing that came out good was the ribs. The mashed potatoes were a little plain. The only good thing was our waitress, she was very nice and gave free ice cream for my birthday!
We were greeted with a smile when we arrived. Our waitress was friendly, and she was training a new staff member, who was very attentive to our needs. Refilling water, removing glasses as necessary.
Wine was ice cold which was nice. Our food came after a reasonable amount of time. Every one was happy with our choices. The shrimp was chilled nicely. Salmon was tasty, Chicken wings very flavorful, and Apple Salad nice and crisp. We will definitely go back again!
This is 1/2 bar, 1/2 restaurant, so on weekends, it is very noisy and hard to have a conversation.
The food was delicious, the service was great, and the prices were fantastic. I'll definitely go back, but maybe on a weekday.
Saturday brunch with family. Good vibe, very young crowd but pleasant enough. Food and service was outstanding. Omelletes, French toast and biscuits with gravy were all delicious. Good coffee. Din,t have drinks but will try next time.
Menu had a good variety and was reasonably priced. Modern fare with a fun twist. Great service. Quite loud; I'm guessing due to the high ceilings.
This is an older bldg in south Boston. Seems most of the customers are young professionals. The food was excellent, the service was great. However, it was very VERY loud. That may reflect on my age (50s). Overall, I would eat there again.
Came a little early with a reservation at 10:30 and really enjoyed how quiet it was on a Saturday morning. The biscuits from their biscuits and gravy dish was loaded with these really flavorful and garlicky herbs and even had some sweetness to it -- YUM.
I think the hashbrowns are a little overrated. Got them on the side, and while they were fresh, I didn't see why Yelp was raving about them so much.
The Food is excellent. Best Mac and Cheese ever. The service is excellent as well.
Not the best pizza in Boston but quite good. Watch out for access to the booths. Poor design and hard to get into.
Great food and ambiance! Very friendly staff and fun place to eat and drink!
Celebrating a move!!
Love this place for brunch.. best short rib poutine around!
They canceled my reservation after I called to tell them I was running late, and they said it would be fine. Host was a little rude after we showed up and I told her we had a reservation. Server forgot to put our drinks in, so we were halfway finished our food before we got them. Food was good.
Birthday event for my 28th. It was great for my
Family and friends
