Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant
Built with the intention of being a comfortable meeting spot for locals looking to share stories at the end of their long day, Lincoln draws inspiration from it’s surrounding, hard-working, and uniquely American neighborhood.
Revitalizing a nearly forgotten West Broadway space that at one time housed the area’s only department store, Lincoln feels nostalgic. It’s open-air, tiled-floor cafe, grande bar, and soaring, original tin ceilings remind us of a time when dining halls and supper clubs were a way of life.

Food was amazing. Bar was PACKED with millennials and super loud. Fun people (drunk) watching though.
Food was really good along with the service. Crowded and loud on a Saturday night with football games on multiple screens. Fun atmosphere if you're looking for a lively place but tough for table conversation.
My guest and I enjoyed the brunch and lunch respectively. I loved the pastrami sandwich on rye which was moist and savory. I went on a Saturday and the volume of noise was to a level that we could not hold a conversation. The server even suggested returning during the weekday when they would offer the fried chicken sandwich.
Great service & great staff. Knowledgeable of Celiac allergy.
We had a great experience at Lincoln! It has a happening vibe, busy and loud in a good way. The menu is interesting and the food was delicious. The staff was fantastic and made us feel like we had their undivided attention. We would definitely go back!
Loved the food... Too loud
My main issue with this visit was that I had to go looking for a server after being seated for about 10-25 min. When she did come over she didn’t introduce herself or explain the special menu. She went straight to “so you’re ready to order?” She was friendly enough, but not very hospitable.
The other four people I had lunch with really enjoyed their meals. Two had burgers, one the Mac and cheese, and one the French onion soup. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was disappointing. Half the sandwich was just heading with no meat in the middle and there was also some dark meat in the sandwich, nothin mg I e ever seen before in a fried chicken sandwich.
We did like the location, the ambiance, and the menu options.
Double date with pals ;)
Food & service was excellent, would rate higher if it wasn’t for the noise level... every table had to yell at each other to talk & we could barely hear yourself think it was so noisy. Go on a week night or off peak hours to actually enjoy dinner... we couldn’t get out fast enough!
Excellent food and service! Our waitress Reilly was exceptional! We were in a rush because we had tickets to a show and she totally accommodated us.
Great food and service was excellent.. a little noisy but overall very enjoyable
Very good! The music is very Loud, but the food is awesome!
Delicious Scallops and Pork Chop! Mac and cheese was awesome!!
What a pleasant surprise! We went to Friday Brunch test kitchen. Very different menu. We chose 3 different dishes and the apple cider donuts which were excellent. Food was delicious. We would definitely return.
We chose artichoke and spinach omelette, pork dumplings and the breakfast pizza.
It's hard to find a place during the week that offers brunch. Lincoln Tavern was the perfect meet up spot for me and my family. Tons of space and great food. Friday's are testing days so the menu will be food options the kitchen is trying. Drinks are okay... I would recommend this restaurant.
Dinner was amazing!! Huge rib eye steak for $28 can’t be beaten!
All around excellent meal. There were so many enticing items on every part of the menu that it was darn hard to narrow it down. I basically asked the waitress for her input to make me decide. I went with both of her recommendations of the Lincoln Sliders and the Quinoa Salmon Bowl and I could not have had better choices. I will be so torn when we return b/c I want to order those same items but we have to try other things. The pizza was great and would definitely be worth it just to get it to go. We will be back sooner than later. Would love a little quieter place as it is super loud, but if that is the price to pay to eat at this yummy restaurant then I can bring some ear plugs.
BOIZ NIGHT BABY
Such a lovely visit! Great service! They even gave my baby niece a Lincoln onesie! Great food and great for a group. We had a delicious brunch!
Great place to meet friends!
Music too loud... in fact we thought we had arrived at a night club when we arrived for our 6 pm reservation... we requested a change in music genre which they accommodated, but who thought club music was appropriate for the dinner crowd?
Great spot. A limited menu, but an enjoyable atmosphere and solid food quality.
It was utterly fantastic. Their appetizers were all amazing and their cornbread soufflé was literally one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
Love this place but only go when it’s off peak - we are too old for the noisy vibrant night scene and game days. For us, our choice for weekday brunch & lunch Great staff!!
Accoglienza un po’ fredda. Hanno tardato parecchio a servirci. Climatizzazione un po’ troppo fredda (diverse persone cenavano con la giacca). Pizza e cheeseburger buoni e prezzi giusti.
Great service and recommendations from our waitress. Food was delivered promptly and hot.
The restaurant was hopping for Saturday at 11am! However, I think the draw is more for the scene and atmosphere than the food. Our meals were average at best, and one was even sent back. Not sure if it was because they were so busy, but none of our food was actually hot. We also ordered a Bucket of Bubbles (great concept!) but the bottle of prosecco was not chilled. The second glasses were colder, but our first round was warm champagne and warm juice.
The food and service were excellent.
Everything we ordered was delicious from the calamari to the scallops! The peach pie was soooo tasty! It’s just WAY TOO LOUD!! You have to scream to talk to the person next to you. And really scream to talk to the person across the table. I loved the music but it could be dialed down a bit!
Left my husband craving the chicken and cornbread. And he is not a fan of chicken. And the sliders... 🤤🤤🤤🤤 drool worthy. Please always key the fried chicken on the menu as our child has recently transferred to Mass for school.
I was very impressed by Lincoln Tavern's attention to food allergies. They were specific and careful and made sure to flag things for me. My only complaint was the noise level in the restaurant - we were seated at a small table for two and could hardly hear each other. Overall, great brunch spot!
Wicked busy local crowd down in Southie on a Friday. Lincoln was busy as can be very energetic crowds amazing food great service with a fun vibe! Always nice coming down to the area! Pizzas were amazing love love the wood fire oven amazing oysters too! Excited for the ice cream made in house.
Cool vibe. Very loud. Not good for a romantic date night. Good for friends and a lively dinner. Tasty food!
My go to spot, it’s the best
Great food, great service! Perfect for casual dining or a special celebration.
I would love to give this restaurant five stars but it was so noisy that our party of four (mom, dad and teenage kids) couldn’t even hear each other across our booth. The food was great - apps, pizza, salads and entrees - and the service was good, but I won’t be going back unfortunately.
Terrible experience. Entrees came out with appetizers. Was cold by the time we ate. Manager did nothing but say sorry. Unacceptable. Live in the neighborhood but won’t be back.
Come for great food and drinks, super fun spot on weekend nights, but prepare for terrible service especially once the music turns up.
Great foodie restaurant, great cocktails, great service. Loved every aspect of it except perhaps the noise-very loud. But wecgo for the food and drinks, and everything was outstanding. Drink standout was the Dracary, esp w its spicy bite from a chile bitter. Dinner was the Kumg Pau Brussel Sprouts, Braised short ribs on truffle mac n cheese, and Miso Salmon plank grilled over shaved cucumbers and steamed Bok Choy. All outstanding. We are from SoCal, and this place could thrive among the best So Cal has to offer. Kudos. Next time back in Boston this is the first place we’ll call to make reservations.
Great food but not a good choice if you want to be able to hear the person across from you
