Lincoln Square Steak Ratings and Reviews
There must have been several dozen waiters, but we could never figure out which one was ours. We had to keep waiving them down to get service. My daughters steak was not cook right but didn't send it back for fear we would never get it back. No one ever checked to see how we were doing or if the food was ok. Food was just ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Very disappointed !! This was our first trip to NY, and this ruined our last meal there!
A great steakhouse dinner to cap off our annual NYC winter trip. The filet mignon was perfectly seasoned and cooked, which was complimented with side dishes that came in little skillet dishes. Each side dish had a touch too much truffle oil, but overall very appetizing. The service is readily available sometimes too much. But more service is better than no service so we were pleased. The menu selection had many options even with a groupon. Overall it was one of the best steakhouse experiences we’ve had in nyc.
Lovely ambience in this well decorated restaurant. The Fillet Mignion steaks we ordered were beautiful and perfectly cooked. The staff were all attentive and professional. A nice touch was a sample.of desserts that they gave us for free. There was a great wine list offering wines for all budgets!
Awesome place. Referred by a friend. Glad I was. We were allowed to order off the early menu even being 15 minutes past the cutoff time. It was more than enough food and salad and sides. Crazy good deal. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Overall highly recommended.
Mixed feelings the 2nd time around. I became aware of this restaurant through the Groupon App but did not use a Groupon the first time and had a great experience; I sent a glowing review about food and service and planned to go back. The 2nd time I made reservations and everything was going well again -until we mentioned the Groupon (on a busy Friday night) then everything changed. They took our menus and wine lists back and switched us to a more limited Groupon menu, they had a meeting near our table with the staff to explain “the situation” and promised to send the sommelier to explain our choices of house wines. When the meal was served it was disappointing - the steak tartare looked like dog food and I could barely touch it, the trout and pork chops showed up on plates naked and unadorned but we’re passable and dessert was not our choice but a combination of sample desserts that had seen better days. If we had been served that same food the first time, we never would have gone back. Not sure what’s going on in that kitchen but if restaurants don’t want to serve Groupon holders, they shouldn’t enroll in the program. Instead of introducing their restaurant to potential new clients, they are turning them away, which is too bad since we have subscriptions to nearby Lincoln Center.
I went here the other night with some friends. I got the chicken parm pie to split- it was really good (big portion, tasted amazing and reasonably priced). The owner Bruno came by to check on us which is always appreciated. Overall it is a great restaurant: friendly with good food. This is my go to place for large group gatherings. I’ll be back soon!
The service was attentive. There were servers everywhere. However they don’t listen, they just rush about. “Would you like water? “ No. (We got water). We ordered. I ordered French onion soup, a Berkshire pork chop and creamed spinach. The French onion soup featured burned bread which tainted the entire bowl. The pork chop was over-cooked and dry. Sad, because I could tell there was once a good piece of pork there. The creamed spinach was the least harmful thing of the night. My companion suffered an “up-sale”. She ordered a petite filet and received a big one. She was also charged for it. However, it was perfectly done. She just had to leave much of it. The Chef’s compliments add-ons were not welcome or memorable. The desserts came from the freezer. Don’t go. The prices are high and the food was poor. This place lives on location and not on excellence.
Awful, simply awful. I think I might have gotten a better steak at Outback (never tried it.) I had the NY Strip, $48. It was hard to put my fork into it, difficult to cut, and no pleasure to chew. The taste is irrelevant with a steak that tough. Even the brussel sprouts were tough. My daughter-in-law's fish was disappointing. This restaurant should either improve the quality of their meat (and fish) or cut their prices in half. I don't see why anyone would knowingly pay for prime meat and get what they serve. I should have called the maitre'e d as soon as I tried to put my fork into it. I will chalk it up to a learning experience. Two lessons. Never eat here again, and complain quickly if the problems are so obvious.
We had a truly excellent meal at Lincoln Square steak. It was my daughter’s birthday and they made it very special. When we sat the table had a balloon and roses. The food was incredible from the popover, to the perfectly cooked aged steaks and sides. They brought a variety of desserts with a candle for her birthday and even took a family photo to commemorate the special occasion. Above all the food and servers were excellent. We will absolutely be going back.
Our experience was thoroughly outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had a hearty and delicious malbec, at the suggestion of our server. In addition to the great meal, the chef sent our a mushroom ravioli appetizer, which was superb.
We went during a busy Christmas weekend, the staff was very friendly. The owner came out and spoke to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We loved the extra special attention we received for our friends Birthday dinner. The petite steak was cooked perfect along with the tasty potatoes gratin
Wonderful restaurant with a service that goes the "extra" bit. We went on my daughter's birthday and the team made sure that she had a very special night. She even got candy cotton on top her of her birthday dessert. The food was excellent, we had lobster and crab meat cocktail followed by a NY prime strip. We can highly recommend this restaurant.
Husband and I had our anniversary dinner here this past Saturday evening. Ended up waiting a little longer than expected but only because we requested a corner booth. Upon sitting, we waited for about 20 minutes before someone greeted our table but they were extremely busy. After those minor issues, everything else was great. Food, service, and they even offered complimentary dessert given our waiting. Was impressed. Thanks Lincoln Square.
From the moment I walked through the door I knew I was going to have a great experience at Lincoln Square Steak. The wait staff was very attentive, making sure everything was to your liking. Now, the food, delicious. My sister and I ordered the Canadian bacon, onion soup and I ordered the Ribeye with creamed spinach and potato purée to share. Everything was incredible. At the end of our meal they even brought out a desert sampler free of charge. Incredible, I will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to my family and friends.
BEST CHICKEN PARM PIZZA IN TOWN
Great neighborhood gem.
My wife, children and I, (5 people) left full for under $120.
Fried Calamari, chicken parm pizza (8 slices) accompanied by a slightly spicy rigatoni vodka, a glass off scotch & cab for myself for under $120?!?!?!?!?!
If you haven’t been, please take your wife, children, cousins, (close and distant).
