Lincoln Square Steak Ratings and Reviews
We chose this restaurant for my husbands 50th Birthday and we were not disappointed. From the oysters on the half shell, the incredible steak, sea bass to the mac n cheese the food was decadent and delicious.
We had three people there that made our dinner there incredibly well attended to. First was the hostess who greeted us and made us feel welcome and warm, second was the sommelier who was the true highlight of our dinner, and lastly the 6'10 busser who did not miss a beat.
Such a special restaurant, perfect for a special restaurant!
This is a wonderful neighborhood Steak and seafood restaurant. Everything is delicious. My husband had the NY strip steak, which he said was amazing. I had the grilled bronzino, which was perfect. The complimentary mushroom ravioli appetizer and complimentary dessert plate are really amazing and delicious. Great service, great atmosphere, great food. Everything you want when you go out for a nice dinner. I highly recommend Lincoln Square Steak.
I had a reservation for 6:30. Arrived at 6:35. Shown to my table. After 5
minutes bus man offered water. Another 5 he came by with a single pop over in a roll basket. It was dry and tasteless. Butter was cold and hard. A waiter at the next table over offered a couple a full basket and a variety of bread. My candle remained unlit. Another 10 minutes went by, no waiter, no offer of wine or cocktail. I got up and left. If this is how this place treats solo and/or female diners I would never recommend it to anyone.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration at LSS. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! The stag too such wonderful care of us and made the birthday celebration so very memorable. There was a birthday balloon, birthday menu, special birthday dessert and a picture that we could take with us at the end. The whole experience was impressive and so special for my husband's birthday. Excited to visit again soon!
We were celebrating my daughter and son-in-laws 5th anniversary and the staff couldn't have made them feel more special. Not only did we enjoy a phenomenal meal but the little touches from special menus to complementary treats to a photo of the couple made it a wonderful night. Every course was amazing. We will definitely be returning!
We had tickets to the opera and were looking for a nice restaurant within a few blocks of Lincoln Center in case we had difficulty getting a cab after dinner. This is about 6 blocks NW and an easy walk, which we opted for since the weather was nice. The food and service here is terrific and the atmosphere upscale and elegant. Moderate noise, but you can easily make conversation without having to shout. Looking around the room it was obvious that this was a place people came to for special celebrations. Plus, the manager (owner?) stopped by our table twice to make sure everything was perfect (and it was). In future, whenever we go to the opera, we will stop here first.
Lincoln Square Steak is the best Steakhouse/Italian Style Family dining in NYC!! The Chicken Parm and Veal Parm (served as if it were a pizza pie) are out of this world and the price is right! It's huge and definitely feeds 2-3 per order. I love that we can get great Italian and steaks(my favorite is the porterhouse)at one restaurant. Another standout is Bruno the owner, he makes sure everyone is welcomed and enjoying themselves and the delicious food! I can't wait to go back!
WE DINED AT LINCOLN SQUARE MANY TIMES AND CANOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT IT. LAST TIME WE HAD CHICKEN PARMIGIANA IT WAS TO DIE FOR BUT THIS TIME WE DECIDED TO ORDER VEAL PARMIGIANA IT WAS THE BIGGEST AND MOST DELICIOUS ONE OF THE BEST I’VE HAD.
VERY NICE EXPERIENCE AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO RETURNING.
Lincoln Center Steak is an excellent comfort food restaurant. I had two appetizers, a wonderful steak tartar and a Caesar salad with real anchovies. The Begum Playaneuron had an excellent roast chicken. We had a competent Riesling. Others had competent branzino. It is high up on my list of pre-Lincoln Center restaurants. They understand getting people out in time.
This is a neighborhood favorite of mine, with the same ownership as Club A Steakhouse. Typically we are greeted by the owner when we arrive but instead it was his son Agron, who asked about another friend of ours who dines there from time to time. The som is an experienced hand and he remembered some selections I've made in the past. The food, was of course, perfect, from the crab cake appetizer to desert. Wonderful, as always, top marks for food, wine, service and ambiance.
I had been to Lincoln Square with a large group and the folks were amazingly accommodating. This time just with friends...2 couples. And, once again, they overwhelmed us with great food, great ambiance, and wonderful service, right to a very nice afterdinner drink. Well done.
It's a beautiful restaurant. And, the live piano bar and setting are spectacular.
Everything was good. It would of been very good except for the baked potato which was served a bit too cool for my tastes. Otherwise the steak was very good as was the steamed asparagus. There was no dessert menu offered us only a plate of bite-size favorites (cheesecake, canolli, etc.) which was good but just shy of very good, all mildly tasteful).
Having made the reservation several months in advance, requesting a quiet corner or a booth for our party of 4 (the main dining experience for our long weekend visit from UK) we were shown to a regular table in between several others. Acoustically the venue is poor and conversation was difficult as we couldn’t hear what was being said even on the opposite side of the table. Sure the restaurant was busy so you accept it’s a popular place. The food was very good, our porterhouse for 2 was excellent, the two other petite fillets were average. Wine selection is impressive though the service wasn’t as attentive as we’d expect from such an expensive restaurant. We were pleased we made the effort to go to the Lincoln Steakhouse but wouldn’t go back as the weekend taught us that there are so many other places to eat where a budget of $500 for 4 diners would be a much better value for the money.
We have been here three years in a row for parents weekend at Fordham. Despite all the options, we keep coming back for great food, service and atmosphere.. Sadly, it was disappointing this year. We had a waiter who was extremely inattentive. He was not too busy since we clearly saw he was giving a great deal of attention to the table next to us. I realized with this experience that great service is even more important than great food.
It’s too bad the service is so poor. It took forever to get the waiter’s attention. One member of our party asked explicitly that the pork chops be prepared without salt, which the waiter repeated and wrote. But the chops were salty. Everyone else’s steaks were fantastic, as were the sides. The complementary mushroom ravioli and desserts add to the dining experience. But the service....
Another great dinner at Lincoln Square Steak! I came here Friday night with my family for a birthday celebration. The Chicken Parmigiana was incredible and only $40 for two. I recently had the same dish at QUALITY ITALIAN which was $68 for two!! It was good but nothing to write home about. This is my favorite restaurant and the Upper West Side is lucky to have it!
We celebrated my husbands 53rd birthday. They had a birthday balloon on our table and a special happy birthday menu for him. Service was outstanding. Beautiful and romantic decor. Food was delicious. Bruno the owner stopped by our table several times to check on us and even bought us an after dinner drink. He was so charming, humble and sweet. He had a photographer take our picture and returned it attached to a card thanking us for selecting his restaurant for our special occasion! Our only regret was not having the time to go back to the awesome bar for more cocktails and listen to the piano music. Wonderful evening! Thank you Bruno, we will be back!
