Lincoln Center Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
It is very convenient to dine here before attending a Philharmonic concert. Allow plenty of time to enjoy any of a variety of tasty dishes. As it gets closer to curtain time, the kitchen can back up and tie up service. The wait staff is accommodating, but they can't control what it going on in the kitchen. I thoroughly enjoyed the swordfish which was the special. After the shrimp cocktail, which was excellent, my husband was pleased that they were able to prepare spaghetti marinara for him, also enjoyed.
Unfortunately, we were seated in an area that was near the service areas so it felt like we were really in the kitchen with clanging dishes etc. There are two parts to the Kitchen restaurant, and one is nicer and more formal than the other, where we were. But the food was great and the service very pleasant.
Disappointing! It has changed for the worse! The tables are so close together that you have to move at least two tables to slide in. The food is not bad; the waiters are hurried; with so many people jammed in together your conversation is completely public.
I used to enjoy having a quiet dinner there before a concert but not anymore! I will not go back at least until I see a big change!
The food was very mediocre in quality. The restaurant is basically in the lobby of Geffen Hall so you are eating (almost literally) under the stairs or in the lobby. The menu looked varied and good, but the quality of the food was very basic and not inexpensive for what you got.
Food was good but not amazing. My mother enjoyed the chicken liver pate and her scallops. I had the shrimp and chicken which were okay. The menu is very fish heavy. I kept my coat on through the meal because there was a constant draught. Waitress was a bit grumpy but she was under pressure at pre-theater time.
Perfect for dinner before any event at Lincoln Center: ample seating, good food, nice wines, lovely service, and thoughtful nudging about getting to your event if you warn them in advance. It gets a bit noisy close to curtain-time, but that's another spur to timeliness. Of the options within the complex itself, it's by far the most economical.
Since this ir pre theater and you have 1 1/2 Ursa to eat definer everything depends on the server. There is one server heads and shoulders above the rest and her name is Beatriz. She serves exactly the right pace, and gets us out fine. She makes this restaurant great
