they have upped their game from last season. dinner was delicious ! try the special St.Germaine margarita .
One of our party was recently handicapped, so we opted to have dinner at Lincoln Center Kitchen for its convenience. My dinner (beet salad, crab cakes, chocolate tart) was surprisingly good...and the portions were reasonable. The ambience was OK and the service friendly and attentive. I would return more often if not for mild sticker shock (and that's with a 10% NY Philharmonic subscriber discount). Nevertheless, we shall return on occasion.
The best thing about this restaurant is its proximity to all the venues at Lincoln Center. The worst thing about it was the difficulty of navigating Open Table's web site.
Good meals served promptly. Great if you are attending a performance.
We eat there almost every time we go to the Philharmonic. This time it was a disaster. They were clearly shortstaffed, the food came out cold and undercooked. The maître d’ is a lovely woman and was trying to do everything she could to keep it together. If it weren’t so convenient we probably wouldn’t go there again and we won’t if we have the sameExperience again
Very convenient, obviously, if one is attending a concert in Geffen Hall. The food (we had eggplant spread, corn soup, and salmon) was fine. However, the service was poor—slow and inattentive; one had to make repeated requests (like having waitress come to take our own, getting condiments, getting the check), and we were never asked if everything was satisfactory. Finally, it was quite cold in the area in which we were sitting (the long space behind the ticket windows).
L C Kitchen is consistently good for food and service. The menu doesn't change much, but the food is usually very good quality. For such a busy place, the noise level is moderate. The staff are excellent taking care of customers, and the convenience of being so close to venues is valuable.
This is a convenient restaurant if you're going to attend a performance at Lincoln Center. You get a 10% discount if you're a NY Philharmonic subscriber. Food and service are decent, not first rate. Convenience is the name of this game.
Always enjoyable and friendly. We greatly appreciate the service.
Wonderful dinner...Food was delicious and Monica is outstandingly!!! Perfect pre concert venue!
Great. Limited menu and expensive.
First, we were dining with a friend who is blind and our server and all the staff were quite sensitive to the situation AND very helpful!
We had the vegan cauliflower dish ( which was excellent) and the shellfish appetizer ( also excellent).
This was a pre-concert meal and the food came out fairly quickly so we had a relaxing time.
Overall delicious meals and thoughtful service!
This restaurant has a menu which seems to hardly ever change. The Limited selection of wines are of good quality but highly overpriced. Sides of mac and cheese which were popular and excellent disappeared from the menu and have never been seen again.
The perfect place for lunch or dinner before a Lincoln Center performance when the weather is lousy and you want to minimize your walking time to the LC venue. Service is gracious and the food more than acceptable if unremarkable.
The food and service was wonderful. The ambiance was inviting and we had a great time. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food and the service were superb. My friend and I both had the prix fix menu. We both commented on how delicious the food was. We are both restaurant goers.
We had a 5:00PM dinner reservation. We asked to be seated in the "back". It was nice and quiet. By the time we left (around 6:30), however, the place was packed and quite noisy.
The staff was efficient and helpful. The salmon was excellent. The salad consisted too much of the lettuce which also seemed lacked in tenderness.... and just right of other ingredients. The Lincoln Center Kitchen is very convenient for performances at the Center, so it's a no brainer especially when you're short on time.
The quality of the food and the service are both superb. The salmon entree, in particular, is outstanding in quality, preparation, and flavor. You cannot beat this venue for it's convenient location, quality of food and quality of service in the Lincoln Center neighborhood.
Very convenient before a concert, but a limited menu.
The menu was good and I was able to have gluten and dairy free adaptions.
The fish was well prepared, the service slow, but got ti the concert on time, barely.😐
The restaurant ia a wonderful adjunct to Philharmonic Hall.
I am very happy and satisfied when I have dinner with you. The waitresses are very considerate of dietary restrictions.Only unhappy you are closed on Mondays.
Very convenient location if you have an event at the Lincoln Center. Our server was pleasant and friendly, and the food was good (not spectacular, but solid). The overall experience was a bit uneven though - this had the feeling of a training facility for a high end restaurant. (ie, we were seated promptly, but then had a delay before anyone came to take drink orders, or bring water; once our waitress arrived, we ordered cocktails, starters and mains all at once to avoid further delays - and then the dishes were brought to the table in an odd manner - before the waitress was aware, missing a soup spoon for soup, etc.) None of this was a problem, and was quickly and pleasantly corrected - it was just uneven overall. I would definitely come back if I had another performance to attend.
A very nice restaurant to go to before Theatre,Dance or the Opera. A little expensive and more along the lines of nouvelle cuisine but beautifully presented.
Only worth a meal if you are going to a concert in Geffen Hall.
Small portions for price charged !
Barely could locate the vegetables on plate as explained by the server. Had to order another vegetable , again serving for 1. Very disappointing but only option close to pre concert event. Will not return.
always my choice when going to a performance at Lincoln Center. Excellent food and service and you always make the performance on time!
The convenience of being in the concert building for dinner was a plus. The room was a bit too dark for my liking. Service was very good.
Great dinner before Patti Lupone performance with New York Philharmonic. Polite attentive service, nice selection of options and each item we ordered was delicious, imaginative and beautifully presented.
Not worth the price or time. The salad was simply not good, the dressing and the vegetables, had no flavor. The roast chicken was incredible, but the sides need work. The dessert is the best part of any dinner, the dark chocolate tart was "to die for" All in all, it was not a very good dinner. I do hate being this honest, but hopefully it will help.
The service is great and the food was delicious. An odd layout but so convenient to seeing shows at Lincoln Center.
Convenient if you have Lincoln Center tickets and usually available on late notice when better restaurants in area are already booked, but food is average at best and overpriced.
We had a lovely pre-theatre dinner. The chicken was beautifully prepared, and the service was efficient and personable. Price is a bit high, but then so are the prices at all restaurants around Lincoln Center.
First, convenience. The Kitchen is right in the Geffin concert hall, and together with the much fancier and more expensive Lincoln are the only two full restaurants in Lincoln Center. In addition there is the Tully
Cafe, which as its name implies is an informal comfort food place, very convenient too and I alternate between it and the Kitchen. When I want a full meal, I go to the Kitchen.
Great Experience. Very convenient for shows, ballets, or operas. Food is worth coming for any occasion. Service was outstanding. I had the shrimp for a main course while my husband had the Salmon entree. We had an excellent chocolate dessert. With are predinner drinks we had the spicy pecans. Great!
Very good, as always!
Much quieter and more convenient than other eating options around Lincoln Center. We had lunch after a morning lecture at the Ballet on a Saturday. My friend had the Eggs Benedict which looked delicious and ample. I had Mushroom Bisque (which was fabulous) followed by salmon tartar served with a large, crisp toastette. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Will be trying again for a pre-concert dinner. The space is not large so you must book to assure good seating. Ask for a window table for great people watching!
Excellent food. Quick and friendly service. We’ll go back again.
The server rang up my bill wrong for THREE times...then got it right on 4th try but by then my credit card had a fraud alert on it. On of the bills was for $10.43...clearly not a correct amount for 2 dinners. I have spent time with credit card company...calll Lincoln Kitchen etc. etc. Believe me. we will not eat there again inspite of the convenience.
