Soothing ambiance Attentive wait staff Roasted beet salad was delightful and main course Crab Cakes were chock full of crab in a light sauce
I recommend Lincoln Center Kitchen for someone attending a performance at the NY Philharmonic or Met Opera or other Lincoln Center venue.
Reasonably priced and prompt service permitting someone to get to their performance on time.
LC Kitchen is the perfect spot for pre-performance dining. Food is consistently good with a few specials. Staff are more than friendly, helpful and accommodating. Book a table at the window and watch the parade of New Yorkers go by, and you'll be on time for your show.
On the prix fixe, mushroom soup was very good, salmon undercooked and disappointing in general, dessert good, rolls served less than ordinary, almost seemed packaged. We have been here before and liked this restaurant but this time definitely not up to par. Hope they up their game a bit. We will give them another try in the future.
I love everything and everybody at Lincoln Center Kitchen!
We only went to Lincoln Center Kitchen because we couldn't get reservations anywhere else nearby at last minute. Now, I understand why Lincoln Center Kitchen was available - it's lousy AND expensive. It reminded me of a restaurant at an airport. The food wasn't great - my fish had a sauce that tasted like ketchup - and the portions were small and unsatisfying. Our waitress seemed "off" in terms of social skills - not sure what the problem was there.
The food was really good.
The waiter came and cleared each person's plates while others were still eating. She gave us the check before we asked for it and before one person had a chance to order coffee. She then had to redo the bill. There was no reason for the rush. There were several tables available and it was 45 minutes before curtain time so no new people would be arriving. And even if there were more arrivals more than enough tables to accommodate others were available .
An easy few steps from the Met Opera over to David Geffen Hall on a cold windy day made this a wise choice for after our matinee. Reserving at 5:00pm it was nearly empty and very quiet, so we were served right away. House wines were adequate and the salads came quickly and were fresh and crisp. After a bit of a wait the entrees finally came. I guess it filled up all of a sudden with the pre symphony crowd. My husband's ravioli was good but not exceptional and my salmon was the best part of the meal, refreshingly not overcooked. We skipped dessert and opted for cappuccinos instead. Handy and okay for a quick supper.
Pleasant surprise. Very close to Lincoln Center Theater
It's too bright! This is not a place to have dinner. Please and write an accurate description of this place. It's bright as a cafeteria.
The inside room is one of the few truly quiet restaurants. The crowd is older -- those of us who grew up in the day when you could still have a quiet conversation over dinner.
Apart from the convenience when attending a performance at Lincoln Center, The Lincoln Center Kitchen does a great job. The food is very good and the service is always pleasant and efficient. A great choice in the Lincoln Center area and if you're a member of any of the Lincoln Center performing arts, the 10% discount is always welcome.
The Lincoln Center Kitchen has excellent food and service. It is obviously very convenient if you are attending an event at Lincoln Center and this is simplifies your evening. The ambiance was very good. I would have dinner again at Lincoln Center Kitchen particularly if I were attending a concert or event at Lincoln Center and would recommend it to friends.
It is easy to walk by this restaurant located at one end of Geffen Hall. But I now know that it is a worthwhile stop for an excellent meal at moderate prices. Service was attentive, prompt and friendly as were the hosts who sat us at the table we wanted. I had the chicken which was excellent and so was the beet salad. The Prix Fixe is good deal.
The menu could be more extensive and less expensive.
We shared a number of apps and sides, creating our own little buffet at the table. Everything was excellent. The wine and beer choice was also interesting and great.
We always enjoy eating here when we attend the Opera on Saturday afternoon. The service, food and staff are continually wonderful.
Outstanding in every respect! I highly recommend LCK even if one is not going to a Lincoln Center event.
I suspect that there is a new chef in the Kitchen. At any rate, the food is better, more varied, while adhering to the old pattern. This remains a lovely place to have dinner in the concert hall, regardless of the weather.
Food so good I ate too much and this was only two appetizers. Just as important as the food, the service despite a full house was excellent. M y service person Monica was fantastic as was the gentleman filling water glasses and the servers with the food.
The Kitchen is a wonderful experience and is great before attending ding a concert or performance.
Excellent value in a convenient location. Friendly service.
Sadly, I wanted to like this restaurant more than I did b/c of its convenient location. The food just wasn't seasoned well enough and, interestingly, there was no salt or pepper shakers on the table. And the meal wasn't a good value. Sparkling water, appetizer, main course, and dessert was $95 after tax and tip.
WE got there at 6PM, the food was great but we had to forget the desert since we had run out pf the for an 8PM Curtaoin at Koch theater. Our guest was muttering about the slow service--we were there for twenty minutes when the waitress finally showed up. You may need more of them when there is a concert inGeffenHall
Fine limited menu well prepared and presented. We had an early, pre-performance seating. Our waiter lacked training: forgot a drink, didn’t keep track of who ordered what, did not follow the convention of taking order from the lady first (ok, I’m old and traditional about a few things even though I’m a liberal). However the manager on duty was watchful, attentive, and dealt pleasantly and effectively with our needs and at other tables. I’m going to make this my default for 50% of my trips to Lincoln Center.
Very convenient location for a pre-theater performance. Dessert menu was very limited but our meals were good and service was attentive. My husband loves his steak and my chicken was tasty.
I should have been suspicious when I was able to book dinner for Valentine’s Day with only a week’s notice. It turned out that the only fun thing about this restaurant was the bubbly champagne. Everything else is depressing and disappointing. It is a puzzle that such a sad and mediocre restaurant occupies such valuable space at the heart of Lincoln Center.
Great restaurant before Ballet at Lincoln Center. Excellent food and service. Would highly recomend.
Terrible. An overpriced airport restaurant. Food seems frozen and microwaved. Section near the bar is cold and loud. Definitely not worth it
We ordered the Price fixed menu for dinner before the opera. The chicken and salmon main courses were delicious and the chocolate ganache dessert was wonderful! Service was very good and the ambiance was cozy.
The food was very bad. The salad was dry, old . The fish was ok the desert cream brûlée was good. Service was good.
I really expect it more
We’ve eaten here before and had a good experience. There were several large parties, perhaps that’s why the service was off. Our food took a long time and they got my order wrong. I hope it gets better.
Very convenient. Excellent service from mostly long-term staff. Food is mostly good, sometimes very good. A bit pricey but you're paying for the convenience.
Always a great pre-curtain choice at Lincoln Center. Good food and great service.
Kitchen is located inside the Concert Hall at Lincoln Center, hence lan ideal place to dine before a performance, Menu covers all the bases except asian, food is excellent, service outstanding. I dine there every time I go to. concert.
Good and convenient
This has become our favorite place before a concert or ballet performance. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. The staff is very nice and Efficient the food is good. We have found some favorites and order them now every time. But the menu is diverse enough that we know we have other choices. Given the high quality of those we have experienced we have high expectations for other items. We would definitely recommend eating there to friends
The food is always good—American done well. The location can’t be beat if one has tickets to the Philharmonic.
Convenient, comfortable and satisfying.
Lincoln Center Kitchen is a perfect spot to dine before or after a performance at Lincoln Center. The setting is pretty and peaceful, the service was excellent and the menu offers a variety of choices and all the we ordered was delicious.
Always love our meals at Lincoln Center Kitchen. We will return!
