Detached. Not personal able. Food was ok. Had shawarma pork loin and sweet potato ravioli. Service by Anthony was terrible. We might as well not been there or served ourselves. Staff seamed so surprised to be so busy so no one appeared to have received quality dedicated service. A little surprised as this was ranked the number one restaurant in Asheville at the time. Definitely did not have their game together tonight. We walked down to Chestnut and redeemed the night.
Interesting place located off Eagle St. Food was pretty good. I am still getting used to paying over 25 dollars for a plate of food. Worth a visit.
The menu did not offer a wide selection and entree prices were all $25 and up. If you're not into seafood there's not much else. I did enjoy the cevqche guacomoli appetizer.
Wonderful menu with upscale dishes. Nicely located within walking distance in center of town.
Great menu, fun margaritas, everything was delicious. Pretty noisy tho as tables are very close together.
Fantastic... As always.
Food was great. Atmosphere good but kinda noisy. Overall would go there again for a special occasion.
The food was creative and different, most of all delicious. Of all the restaurants in the past 10 years it rates in the top 5. We will go back again when we visit Asheville.
Our dinner was amazing. Such lovely presentations. The food was beautifully seasoned and so fresh. Our server was particularly helpful. I strongly recommend the ginger mint margarita.
I heard wonderful reviews from friends before I made reservations. I wanted a special place because me and my hubs were celebrating our first year of marriage. We arrived 20 minutes early and they sat us away. They even brought us two glasses of champagne to celebrate the special occasion. The food was outstanding and so was the service. We will be back for more special milestones in our life.
I walked by this restaurant the last time I was in town and thought it was always packed and looked like a fun place. This visit we made it a point to go there and it didn’t disappoint.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
We are building a house in Asheville and always come to Limones when we come up to see the builder. It is our favorite restaurant in downtown!
My fave in AVL!
Everything was delicious as usual. Always a great dining experience.
We were very impressed with the originality of the cleaver dinner selections. My wife had a delicious mushroom risotto with all sorts of tasty ingredients and a great red chili sauce. I had an outstanding plantain cake that was sautéed and served on a large bed of fresh perfectly cooked spinach and topped with creme fresh and some other great ingredients. We also had a very fine blood orange margarita. Our appetite was satiated so didn't have a desert. We left with many good thoughts of our dinner and are eagerly looking forward to returning. Reservations are advised.
Our food was very good, I tried something new. Our service was rather slow and our server not attentive. It was a Sunday night.
Our favorite Asheville dining spot-- consistently outstanding!
The lobster nachos were a great appetizer to split. We also appreciated the restaurant owners or designers had taken the time to use sound proofing panels, which totally blended in with the decor while really improving the noise level.
My wife and I ate at Limones Restaurant in the Asheville Downtown Area. The restaurant is tucked away on a side street. If you are looking for a TexMex restaurant this is not it. It is high end Mexican based cuisine. We started out with a Mango Margarita and it was one of the best drinks I have ever had. We then had a Pork Carnitas quesadilla appetizer which was extremely tasty. I had the grilled shrimp Al Pastor and it was good not great. My wife had a mushroom risotto and a cheese stuffed pepper. They were very good. For dessert we had the Churros and they were wonderful. All in all very good.
I would tell everyone on OpenTable how great this restaurant is, and how great their food and service and how fabulous their brunch is, But it’s hard enough to get a table on a regular basis so I won’t :-)
One of Asheville's best, consistently creative restaurants. Brings a fresh new twist to Latin/Californian Cuisine. Definitely is one of our top ten choices.
Limones never fails to disappoint. I am always reminded why it is one of my favorite restaurants in the country.
We are Asheville "locals" and LOVE going to Limones. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent and the ambiance is great! It is one of our "go to" restaurants!
We encouarge all, who have never gone there, to experience eclectic dining at its best!
Exceeded our expectations! Everything we ordered was fabulous! The service was top notch and friendly! Great atmosphere!
This is my favorite restaurant in Asheville. I have never had anything that was less than delicious and have always had wonderful service. I particularly recommend the Sea Scallops.
We come back every time we are in town. Servers are friendly (not always the case in Asheville!) and food is consistently delicious. Cocktails are amazing.
Some of the best food I’ve eaten, amazing lobster nachos and scallops. Only complaint was the shrimp was slightly over cooked. Margaritas were perfect.
The Food and margaritas were excellent!
Delicious but expensive. Large plates are for one person.
Interesting twist on Mexican cuisine. Had the ceviche sampler-one was outstanding, while the other two were average. Main dishes tasty but felt that it did not live up to its hype.
We got a couple drinks, appetizers and entrees. Everything was amazing from the food to the service. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Excellent food, unique flaovrs. The plantain dish was amazing.
Our waitress was really slow and then straight up dropped off the face of the earth at the end. Took our food to box up and then didn’t come back with it for fifteen minutes. Too expensive for such poor service. We went to zambra for three times the amount of food, great service, and the same price. Pass.
Some of the best food you will find anywhere. A must when you visit Asheville!
Introduced friends new to the area to one of our favourite restaurants. They loved it!
Food not hot
We were treated to exception customer service by our waiter Jeremy. He REALLY took care of us and I want to thank him. All dining experiences should be as memorable as this one. We love Limones and are local residents. Our out of town friends were impressed. We will be back SOON.
Second visit and was looking forward to the seafood stew; however, the menu had changed since our visit two months prior. Review menu ahead of time if you have a favorite. Carrot Habnero Margarita is very tasty. Overall experience was great.
Phenomenal!! Would travel back to Asheville just to eat here again!
Fabulous service. Nice atmosphere and scrumptious food
