The food was delicious; the waiter was helpful and made great recommendations. Cocktails were different but delicious. A great dining experience.
Fantastic birthday dinner with our daughter and her boyfriend. Every course was excellent and the non drivers all enjoyed the specialty margaritas very much!
Our friend's favorite restaurant and a nice place to chat and catch up
Limone's is consistently always one of the best in AVL.
Restaurant was unique and reminded me of some upscale restaurants in New York. The mango margarita was excellent as was the braised short ribs and lobster mac 'n cheese. The only issue we had was that our server also had a very large table of demanding women that monopolized her time so we were a bit neglected in that department.
Have eaten here many times but this is the first Sunday Brunch. It was wonderful and there were plenty of breakfast or lunch choices. The service was exceptional as usual!
One of my favorite spots for brunch. I come here every time I come to Asheville. The mexican hot chocolate is amazing!
Food was amazing and drinks were too!! Chile relleno was delicious!!!
Best margaritas ever! I absolutely loved the enchiladas as well! Definitely recommend.
As always so wonderful
Loved Limones. Excellent meal in downtown Asheville.
Our second trip to Limone’s. We enjoyed a ceviche made with red snapper, pan seared sea scallops, and a three-cheese stuffed chili relleño for apps. Rack of lamb and chicken thighs for entrees. Everything was outstanding. Our server Seana was attentive and very helpful. Great margaritas and a good wine list that is very reasonably priced. Gourmet Mexican cuisine done with creativity and attention to detail. We look forward to a return visit.
We were celebrating our anniversary and Limones was a very special gift. A memorable experience not only for fine service, but creative drinks and sumptuous food. We are looking forward to our next dining experience there.
A great evening and wonderful food. We really enjoyed ourselves.
One of our very favorite restaurants with exceptionally tasty food and special cocktails. It is a bit loud at times but would not hesitate to recommend making a trip to dine. As is true for all of downtown Asheville, parking can be challenge at certain times. The range of offerings can accommodate most any palate.
Always a huge gastronomic and social pleasure to dine at Limones. Brunch is a great gateway meal here because of slightly more reasonable prices. The food is always amazing. I have become addicted to the carrot habanero margarita.
Great hand made cocktails. We loved their special Margaritas. The ceviche sampler was wonderful and the main dishes were very flavorful and unique.
Exceptional service for a busy Sat night. Food was very high quality and cooked perfectly. Delicious! We enjoyed 2 ceviches, scallops, and the pork. Would definitely return!!
I had heard from a local that the food was good, we got the last available reservation that evening which was 9:30, it's late to eat, I know,. but....we really wanted to try it. When we got there it was packed. They were very nice, we were 15 minutes early so we sat at the bar to get the recommended blood orange margarita, they were delish! We got our table right after, proceeded with ordering our appetizer, which was very fresh & delicious, called the taster, or something like that. I got the scallops, my husband got the salmon, both were very fresh, & an amazing palate of flavors. The atmosphere was loud like a party but we didn't mind, I enjoyed the people watching, one couple moved closer together, probably so they could hear one another. I think people were just having a good time & was glad it was Friday, ha ha. I would definitely recommend, although pricy, sometimes you have to splurge on good quality food. I should have photographed the food because it was beautifully presented but is kind of embarrassing & the light was dim.
Excellent food and service. However, we were a two-top sandwiched between two parties and people at the tables on each side were literally yelling to be heard. It was deafening. We had to leave without ordering a main course. It was pretty disappointing as it was my birthday. The manager was wonderful and comped us dessert (ironically it was cake and I am gluten-free, but my nephew enjoyed it!). The manager recommended that we get a window table next time to avoid the noise level. (Not sure if that can be requested through OpenTable.)
This was our first visit. We had an excellent pinot grigio and a blood orange marguarita. My wife and I spot an appetizer of avocado and salmon, which was excellent. The entire we chose may not have been the best. It was a shrimp in tomato sauce dish with rice on the side, a tiny arugula salad and a confit that was nice and spicy. The shrimp, actually, was rather bland. Poor choice or under seasoned? We would return and try something different.
Limones never disappoints. From their fabulous margaritas (I had the one with carrot and ginger) to the ceviche sampler appetizer (octopus so tender!!) to entrees, it is a delight. Portions are generous so there was no room for dessert. One must make reservations in advance, so plan ahead.
Great! It was great!
Quite good. Only ordered apps & split those. All were excellent.
Excellent food, but service was a bit slow. On a positive note. It was our anniversary, and because we had put that in our OpenTable reservation, we were surprised with a complimentary champagne toast.
It's nice to go out to eat these days at a place that has great food, great service and where you don't have to shout over the hordes to be heard by the people at your table.
This has become one of our favorite places.
One of many visits, and it's always great. This is our favorite restaurant in Asheville.
Will be back with our family.
Ok.. . Nice quiet place , window seating for 2 in the front of the house.
Great bottle of Tempranillo .. Looking forward to the food.
Ceviches were fresh, a little bland.. Lime and salt would have perked it up a bit. Not very spicy.
Then the entrees.. 1/2 rack of New Zealand lamb, and a pork tenderloin.
Both meats were seared, both ordered medium rare.
The knives provided were there stainless steel serrated typical restaurant knives.. couldn't cut the meats without REALLY putting a lot of pressure on the blade.
Seems like both plates were taken directly from the fridge, not resting at room temp, then seared, and then simmered or baked at too low a temp making the meat tough.
Both cuts should be melt-in-your-mouth, not gummy and chewy. Not the case.
For their price point, I expected better quality meat.. we passed on dessert and paid the bill shame.. I was really hoping to find a intimate go-to restaurant for future outings.
I should have bought the same meats at the Chop Shop and grilled them with olive oil, s and p, and saved a wad of money. Too bad.
Thank you for making our daughter's 30th birthday special--it also happened to be Easter. The server (I believe his name was Jeremy--I'm terrible at names), took care of us in every way. The food was authentic and delicious as usual. All in all, it was a memorable meal.
We were in town over Easter and had a fantastic Sunday Brunch. Everything was delicious. Be sure to get the scones and maybe an order to go. Yum!
The food was great. Service was very good. Restaurant is better suited for a date night or adult group. While the staff was very attentive and catered to our kids as they could, there is no kids menu and the ambiance is a bit formal- not a good family option but perfect if that’s not what you’re seeking.
Everything was excellent as usual...very lively Friday night!
Limones is one of our favorites in Asheville, it is always delicious! We recommend it to friends that are traveling there.
Average food, average service, average atmosphere.
Every item that we had was delicious. We ordered the lobster nachos and the scallops with grits and the lamb. The margarita selection was amazing and we enjoyed the one with the carrot and habanero.wow. I only wish I had room to eat more.
Amazing, one of the best meals I've had in a long time! Service was excellent, very friendly staff!
We loved the food, service and environment. I highly recommend.
We enjoyed our experience overall, though tables were pretty close together. This wouldn’t deter us from returning, except we were on vacation so probably won’t be back for a while! We ordered the ceviche sampler which was the highlight-delicious!! Especially the ahi tuna. We then shared the shawarma pork tenderloin dish with hominy and chorizo ragout, which was plentiful for two. Husband and I found that the chorizo/hominy mix was what gave the pork its flavor, otherwise the pork would’ve been a bit bland. Pork was tender! Great ambiance and nice service! Enjoyable date on vacation in Asheville!
Most of the time the food is excellent. Just this time the shrimp were over cooked. However, this can happen to any restaurant occasionally. Of course I’ll continue to have dinner there and recommend to everyone.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. My husband and I were in Asheville for some wedding planning for my son and fiancé. It happened to be our 30th Anniversary as well. When my husband told our waiter Brad it was our anniversary, he left and returned with 2 flutes of Proseco to have a toast! His food recommendations were spot on and everything was delicious. The food alone made this experience worthwhile, and Bradadded so much more.
