Waiter was wonderful. My wife’s eggs came out a bit overdone but they quickly cooked up some new ones and fixed our problem.
We will be back again for dinner next time we hope!
Upon making our reservation I noted it was our Anniversary. When we were seated our server presented us each with a complimentary glass of champagne. It was a thoughtful touch and a great start to an exceptional meal! Phenomenal food and service!
Incredible food! Ceviche was very good.
Lobster nachos are da bomn
Delicious scallops, excellent tenderloin.
My husband and I were in Asheville for a fall outing and Limones was our first dinner out. Absolutely outstanding! The beef tenderloin was excellent Cooked to perfection and came with a huge serving of their lobster mac&cheese... enough to share. I had the salmon with a curry sauce. Both dishes were very good with generous portions. Love Limones!
Wonderful as usual!
Excellent dinner-ceviche sampler was fabulous. We also had the seafood stew and the scallops. Highly recommend. No room for dessert but appreciated the complimentary truffles. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
We arrived about 30 minutes late... and they treated us like we on time. Wonderful hostess, terrific server and food and drinks were outstanding. This is one great restaurant and you don't want to miss going to it, if you are ever in Asheville.
Alex - our server - was outstanding - a credit to the restaurant...
I wasn’t greeted at the door, once she finally came to the door it felt odd and unwelcoming I got seated and was waiting for my friend to arrive I only got brought waters I was not greeted by my server for awhile another couple who was sat after me got serviced almost immediately upon sitting down I made eye contact with my server and he finally came over and asked if I wanted anything while I waited, in a young looking woman and most of the other patrons were in their late 50s to 60 I felt I wasn’t treated the same because of how I dressed and looked. Food was great but service could be more welcoming, we know how expensive it is we wouldn’t be there if we couldn’t afford it. I tipped 30% so I’m only making a point
Thank you so much for your feedback. First, let me offer a sincere apology for how you felt after your recent visit. We certainly want all of our guests to feel welcome and appreciated throughout their entire experience at Limones. There is never an acceptable reason for poor customer service and we will take steps to ensure it will not happen again in the future. We hope you will continue giving us the opportunity to serve you again. Take care, Limones
Wonderful dinner, wonderful service, wonderful experience.
Limones continues to be our favorite restaurant in Asheville. The food is ALWAYS excellent and so flavorful. Lobster nachos for the appetizer is our go-to, and have never had an entree that wasn't amazing. I finally tried the seafood stew tonight, which was very good. The fish was fresh, and the flavors were delicious as usual. If you ever get Brad as your server, then consider yourself lucky. He's the best they have and he's always excellent, knows the menu well and had a lot of experience and knowledge.
Always a favorite when in Asheville, with Brunch being the best in town!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Limones. Our waiter, Julian, made fantastic recommendations and was so helpful. We enjoyed Lobster nachos, beef tenderloin and scallops and were so disappointed to not be able to finish our food because we were so full!! This place is a must if you’re visiting Asheville!
A noble effort is being made to provide a novel approach to modern Mexican cuisine. The Margaritas , and we tried several, seemed weak. Overall, a pleasant dining experience, but don't expect fantastic.
Great menu, great cocktails, great service. Try the lobster nachos.
The margaritas are the best part of dining here! Always delicious. The Mac n cheese was great. The pasta with mushrooms lacked flavor. The rib eye was good, but very fatty. Overall, we will be back!
Consistently one of the best restaurants in Asheville.
Best ever experience at Limones. Got our usual charming window table. Ceviche sampler, always good, was excellent. So we’re the scallops served over mushrooms and a cauliflower veloute. Diane had the Bucatini (super thick spaghetti like pasta) over mushrooms and loved it. Great service. This is why we never miss a night at Limones when in AVL.
The scallops were outstanding. Good wine selection. Excellent service.
We had high hopes for Limones based on reviews. And the ceviche sampler did not disappoint. It was full of flavor and some of the best ceviche that we have had. So we were excited for our entrees but were let down. The pork chop entree, while perfectly cooked, completely lacked flavor and at $35 I expect flavor and presentation. It basically was just piled on top of cabbage and potatoes. And the romesco sauce did not work. It would have been much better without it. My husband had the pasta and it was mediocre. We are very disappointed to leave a meal and think that we could have made the same thing at home and it likely would have tasted better. We will not return. But if you are not a home cook and are looking for a decent meal out you will likely enjoy Limones.
Made room for our party of 3 in an alcove since hubby hard of hearing. Made meal all more enjoyable. Cevive sampler for starters with ginger mint margarita, followed by the scallops and shared tre leche cake. All wonderful.
Never disappoints.... an excellent restaurant!!! The service is fabulous and your table is always ready when you arrive. Don’t miss this Asheville gem!
Everything from start to finish was outstanding. A very large variety of tequila to choose from. The lobster nachos were fantastic! Service was exemplary. If we are ever in Ashville, will definitely return.
We always love our meal here.
I had not been to Limones in years and am so happy to say that the standard of food is still superb and ambiance wonderful. What a great place, with such a varied and well constructed menu. For me Limones is a special occasion situation as the price point is steep for my budget, but I think worth every penny.
A different Mexican restaurant, but very good.
Only glitch was arrived early for reservation so they sent us next door to sister restaurant for a drink while waiting. When table ready we had just got drinks and were told we couldn’t take them next door to restaurant where our table was for dinner.
The best margaritas! Everyone in our group of 4 enjoyed our food. For appetizers, the sausage with mac and cheese and mussels were delicious. For entrees, we enjoyed the scallops, pork chop, and seafood stew. Portions and presentation of dishes were perfect. Their flan is irresistible!
Pork chop was dry and tough my pasta dish was good but not excellent. Service was excellent. The restaurant manager did not charge us for the pork dish.
This review is on our 2nd visit to Limones. We could not remember the first visit and after this second visit, we now see why. Limones lacks ambience and although offers very good food, it lacks in terms of foodie expectations. We tried the ceviche sampler with high-quality seafood and creative preparation. The mussels next on our dinner were a bit disappointing - we would have preferred a more robust sauce. The wine list is inviting, but a bit sparse save for the full bottle section. Cocktails were in the modern exotic style now so popular. 4+ stars, but not a 5.
I wish they would bring back the mexican vibe. Serving pasta and burgers now... i'm confused
Service was excellent and the food delicious.
Great food and wonderful margaritas! My favorite place in Asheville for dinner.
Salmon and brussel sprouts were delicious. Presented the "birthday girl" at our table with a complementary dessert based on a question on the Open Table app. It was a nice surprise and delicious!
Went to Limones for dinner on a Saturday night. I looked up the menu ahead of time and was excited to try it out! However, I left only somewhat satisfied after our meal. I will say all of the apps we ordered (the seafood ceviche and the pheasant sausage mac and cheese) were DELICIOUS. But, I felt the entrees were overpriced and lacked flavor. We ended up ordering the buccatini pasta (I'm pregnant and also don't eat red meat, so had limited choices). The pasta itself was okay - the sauce was delicious but only used sparingly in the dish. Overall, our experience was okay. Dont think this place lived up to the hype.
As always, the food was amazing!! Brittany was an excellent server.
This is one of the top ten restaurants in Asheville, which has an abundance of very good restaurants. Definately a place for foodies who enjoy unique preparations in a casual atmosphere.
