Limoncello - West Chester Ratings and Reviews
Limoncello has all the important details to make dining a true experience: dimmed lighting, candles on every table, warm cozy atmosphere (not drafty which is rare in an old building) . Another important detail is the food is delivered Hot to your table. It's obvious that it arrives directly after being prepared and is not sitting f under heat lamps. The food is fresh, and delicious with generous portions. The quality in the details are what sets this restaurant apart from other dining experiences in the borough of West Chester. Consistently a great experience every time we go!
The experience is not as nice as it used to be with the cramming of so many tables in the space now. Good was good but not likely to go back during busy times and have everyone sitting on top of each other. Sad as?rvey were always ine of my favorites in the past. Maybe just time to invest in a larger space or a second location and get the ambiance back.
I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. So when our group of women decided to go there after a show I was thrilled. Very busy restaurant. Typical of a good Italian place. The food was very good and the portions large. We had Sam for our waiter and he was terrific! I had the Chicken Messina, which was huge and very tasty. I had enough left over to feed both my husband and I the next day at lunch. I will take the hubby next time.
We had lunch with good friends. It was their first time at Limoncello and they enjoyed it very much. We also had a great time. Loved the food. I had an antipasta that was fabulous. My husband had a chicken parm sandwich. He said the taste was excellent but there was so much chicken on a large roll he simply could not eat it as a sandwich. Rather he ate it more like an open face sandwich. Others probably wouldn't mind this if they have a larger mouth ...ha ha. Overall this is a great place. The service was excellent. This has now become our go to restaurant. You just can't complain about anything.
From the moment we walked in the door our server Jessica was there! She made sure we had our waters filled and bread on the table. She was excellent! The food was delicious. I had chicken parm with pasta. The chicken was as big as my head soooooooo yummy. From the service to our meal it was a great experience. Oh, almost forgot try the Rasberry Limoncello Martini ya can’t go wrong.
As a WC resident, I always find myself going to Limoncello for Italian food. We were seated right away, but food took awhile to come out. Our experience this time was just OK. The calamari was dry and tasted only of bread. Meal was seafood alla vodka..filling but missing some taste as well as the Fri Diablo pasta. Probably will not go back for awhile.
This has been my go-to favorite place for several years. Never had a disappointing meal or service. The food, whether specials or menu-selection, is always delicious, authentic and fresh. I especially go for the seafood dishes - a little bit of Italian with abundant seafood. This is the first place I suggest when asked where to go for dinner. I hope it never lets us down, I hope it stays around for long time and I hope everyone has the same experience we get each and every time we dine.
I had only been to Limoncello once or twice but thought a visitor from out of town would enjoy it. The food was very tasty and the service was friendly. My friend was delighted and so was I. It's rather a tight squeeze and the place seemed full although the manager said the bitter cold had kept some at home. Resign yourself to having to pay for parking but that 's the price one pays for having West Chester become a restaurant destination - nice problem.
The bruschetta and Mediterranean pizza are both good, I had the veal Parmesan w/ linguini which was tasty, my son had the cheese ravioli. Wish the pastas were drained better or finished in a pan with the sauce, they were both a bit watery. We sat beside the door in the upper dining room that I thought was open but it was just very very drafty and in the middle of winter. Good stuff and some not so good stuff, I'll give this place a second go before I make a final decision.
Love the complementary limoncello shots at the end for the adults!
Our reservation was for 6 and we were not seated until 6:30 even though there were plenty of available tables all around us. We asked about the empty tables and the hostess could not explain why we could not be seated there. Since there is no waiting area, we literally had to stand at the front door for the half hour wait. It was very uncomfortable.
