Limoncello Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Did not notice anywhere on OPEN TABLE that this was BYOB. not a problem as I was able to get a bottle of wine nearby. I found it noisy and while very affordable somewhat average food. Menu was also pretty basic. I was looking for a new Italian restaurant to try in Northern NJ and while it was "adequate" it was not what I was looking for so I will not be back. Probably fine for a quick dinner with a family, seemed kid friendly, just nothing special in terms of food
Our first time, we enjoyed our dinner very much. Lemonchelo is a classic family owned ITALIAN restaurant were every thing is fresh, homemade and good. The service is friendly and accommodating ( my wife wanted a pasta that wasn't in the menu and they made it for her. Bring you own wine and make a reservation. We will be back soon.
This is our go to restaurant, the food is consistently above average. Service is spot on, they leave enough time to let you enjoy your company and food between each serving.
Excellent hospitality and service further compliments, their food selections, all great dishes.
Good restaurant. Treated very nicely. Complimentary Limencello shot. I would return but not order veal with mushrooms. Sauce was very heavy handed. My dinner was swimming on the plate. My husband throughly enjoyed his Lobster Rvaioli which were homemade and delicious.
All desserts are prepared on the premises. The presentation is very nice with a great selection. We did not have them but enjoyed are Tartuffo!
It was my wife's BD and she wanted to go where she feels comfortable and like family. As usual, our food was delivered at a good pace. Outstanding entrees of Snapper and COD/Shirmp With Garlic. Nice house dessert with candles, made my wife's evening complete. Bravo, again.
Once again Limoncello did not disappoint. Took my brother and sister in law to celebrate their anniversary - their first time. They enjoyed the meal immensely and appreciated the fact that we were not rushed. The food, as always was wonderful - the fried zucchini appetizer (a favorite of ours) was appreciated by all, and each of our entrees was delicious: shrimp limoncello, a swordfish special, seafood risotto and a chicken dish.
We've been here quite a few times, even though it's not "around the corner" and will continue to enjoy Limoncello's food and gracious service.
We saw good reviews on Open Table and wanted to give it a try for a midweek couples dinner. It was not crowded or noisy as some patrons experienced. BYO is a handy aspect. Good service, attentive, helpful. I had the veal saltimbocca, which I thought was excellent, my partner had coconut shrimp which she did not enjoy as much. Tiramisu was great for dessert. Possibly because we were new diners via Open Table they gave us one other dessert no charge. A very nice option for dining in that part of Bergen County.
The restaurant is very small and really cannot accommodate a large group. We went for Mother's Day dinner and had a table for 8 and it was very tight and our chairs kept getting bumped every time someone would walk by. The food was good, especially the Ginger Calamari, portions are a nice size and it is a BYOB.
Limoncello's has always been a go to place for me. The owners and staff are always accommodating . The food is good, the prices fair, the service excellent and it is a BYOB to boot.
Recently, it was my wife's birthday and we decided to go there. One of our 5 children and her husband and our 15 month old grandchild accompanied us. I was hesitant since I had never seen a small child there and I frequently have been there. No problem a high chair was brought out and they asked what they could do for my granddaughter. Fortunately, she was in good spirits and an excellent dinner ensued.
I recommend you go to Limoncello's for a dinner with great service.
Don't let the stripmall storefront fool you. Limoncello is simply a gem of a restaurant.
The menu has a wide variety of dishes and specials that will appeal to just about every taste.
I've been here several times and have tried several assorted dishes. All the dishes were made VERY well, and were of generous portions. Very fair prices and the service was excellent too.
Limoncello is BYOB, so don't forget your favorite wine. We also enjoy the Prix Fixe menu offered on some days during the week.
Limoncello is not only a neighborhood gem, it's worth the trip! Jimmy is a great host and makes each diner feel like a special guest.
my first visit to Limoncello prompted a second visit. However, it was a not as pleasant as my initial dinner. The food is good enough and with generous portions. It was a busy Sunday but allowing for that, the service was terrible and the food order had to be corrected twice. It is a good place for a casual meal as the value is there but we expected a meal that was more than ordinary.
Excellent find! BYOB which makes it even better. Lots of creative items on the menu and lots of seafood dishes. Jimmy and Remi are terrific hosts and insured that everything was as ordered. Just when you thought you couldn't eat another thing we had a delicious dessert with a limoncello! Will definitely be going back!
The restaurant had too many tables and chairs for the limited amount of room. People were constantly bumping into eachother (patrons and the staff alike) and 2 glasses broke from someone transporting them from one end of the room to another. The service wasn't the greatest. It took a few requests to first get 2 additional place settings and then to actually place an order. The appetizers were delicious, for the table we got the artichoke special, fried calamari, and prosciutto and melon. All main courses were delicious as well. All in all, great food but the wait staff and ambiance needs to improve.
First time at Limincello's and we had a very enjoyable evening. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. The restaurant has a real "local" feel and friendly ambiance. We lingered after dinner and felt no pressure to leave at all. We will be back!
We made a last minute decision to go out for dinner on a Saturday night and were able to get a reservation here. It was very crowded and we had to wait about 10 minutes but ended up with a nice table. Service was friendly and the menu had many good choices. We ordered short ribs and veal with mushrooms and everything was really good. Limoncello cake to finish the meal was delicious. We'll go back and try other items on the menu.
Arrived 5 minutes early, place was full. Waited 10 minutes before someone came to assist. Claimed they did not have our reservation (didn't even check) despite my showing them my confirmation email from opentable. They offered to put us on a wait list. Obvious they did not hold reservation as all tables were full. Poor customer interaction.
