Limoncello - Chester Springs Ratings and Reviews
One of the worst meals I've had there. Everything was off. The wedge salad topped with bruschetta and then a honey dressing just didn't blend well. The veal entree looked like it was left over from the meat grinder. It was awful and not the meal expected for this restaurant. Very disappointing.
Only been to this restaurant twice but neither time has disappointed. Having moved from Italy to the states a few years ago I believe I can say I am an authority on what is or is not authentic Italian cooking, this place is pretty dam close. Large portions, quality ingredients just a great GEM for a place not in a major city. It was a little too noisy but I guess that is what happens when your busy, The veal Parm and spaghetti were very tasty but just a little less gravy next time, overall a place I would tell others about
We visited on NYE, for our anniversary. We’ve been to the WC location previously, but not this one. The restaurant was packed, but it wasn’t overly loud. We didn’t feel rushed and our server was attentive. The food was great and the entire evening was perfect. We will be back soon.
It was New Year’s Eve so the menu may not have been not quite as extensive, but still plenty of choices. Food and service were very good. Seated promptly for our reservation which was a pleasant surprise. We’ve had to wait in the past. A bit noisy or vibrant. Definitely recommend.
We enjoyed a stress free Christmas Eve dinner at Limoncello . The pasta and seafood entrees where terrific and the portions were generous . The grilled calamari appetizer was delicious . The tables are small and tight but the service is always good . This was our third year here for Christmas Eve dinner . We will be back again !
My family and I came here for my birthday this year and last year. I chose Limoncello because there is something for everyone on their menu. Everyone had a delicious meal. I especially like their holiday candied chocolate moose for dessert. I highly recommend eating here.
The food is very good with the exception of too much garlic in Pumpkin Gnocchi and Veal Saltimbocca. These dishes really did not need garlic, and the garlic might have been acceptable had it been cooked a little longer.
Not sure if it was the night, but felt they were rushing us. Entrees arrived before we finished the salads.
I ordered the surf and turf special. The steak was over cooked around the edges - the bone was burnt. The lobster was over cooked and rubbery. The potatoes were delicious thought. Great wine selection and delicious bread with oil. My date ordered the chicken, it was good.
We selected Limoncello for our 50th anniversary dinner. the food was great, the service excellent, and the restaurant nicely decorated. It was our first time at the Chester Springs location and we were pleased to be able to park easily. We have eaten previously in West Chester. We will return again to this location.
A very good meal....excellent pasta, good cocktails. Service started out strong and got very slow. Nice menu. Was disappointed to now be able to get a cup of black tea after meal. Only flowery teas...no black tea....Lipton? Tetley? English Breakfast? Irish Breakfast? Pretty pretentious not to offer a plain tea only flower teas. Waitress was dismissive about it.
We have always loved going to Limoncello however, our last visit was horrible. It started with our waiter taking quite some time to come to our table to get our drink order. He did take our food order in a timely manner. The food runner brought out our meals crab cakes for my husband mine was supposed to be Lobster Ravioli, instead they brought me a shrimp dish. I sent it back with the food runner only to sit there for about 10 mins before our waiter came over to check on our meals, he did go backing the kitchen and @another 5-10 mins comes out with the lobster ravioli, not sure about the sauce that was put on it since it was yellow and every time I've order that it was in a pink sauce. The lobster must of been microwaved it was so tough i could not cut it, so we ended up sending it back. he told me they could remake it for but at this point my husbands meal is getting cold and he didn't seem to care about that. Luckily the crab cakes are huge so i ended up splitting my husbands meal, not my idea of a night out.
Great no brainer place to go out to eat. Reasonable pricing, good food, great service, nice dinning experience. Good for both family and if you are by yourself for a drink and good meal. Bar area is our favorite location to eat. It is just comfortable and we get the same great food.
Limoncello is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants, but for whatever reason, my date and I were super rushed out of our dining experience! The waiter was very young and perhaps inexperienced, but he basically rushed us through our meal - trying to clear our plates as we were trying to eat. He was basically ‘hanging out’ at our table waiting for us to settle the check. It was my date’s first time there and I was really put off by then rushed service. Trying to have a conversation while our waiter was feverishly trying to take our plates away was so annoying! We will definitely be thinking twice before heading back there.
Great overall experience. We came early Sunday night. Our server was amazing. Attentive and helpful in her recommendations. Tried a grilled shrimp appetizer special, and possibly the best shrimp I have ever tried. Lobster ravioli served with a lobster tail and was perfectly prepared and seasoned. Penne in vodka sauce with chicken also well prepared, fresh, and great tasting. Desserts tried, tiramisu and 3 mouse cake were not overly sweet so you could taste the flavors of each. Bar service was excellent as well, favorite being a creamy espresso martini with dessert. Portion sizes were generous, and meal was perfectly paced. Very pretty interior which might get noisy when full, but no issues when dining earlier. Based on this experience would recommend as well as plan a return visit.
Was an absolutely amazing meal. Only annoying part was the bussers were CONSTANTLY asking if you were finished with your dish. I'll push my plate away when I'm finished. But the food was down right amazing. Sent photos to my foodie friends and posting on Facebook the deliciousness.
We've dined at Limoncello several times, and have never had a bad meal or overall experience! The food is authentic Italian, and superb! I would recommend Limoncello to anyone who enjoys fine dining, superb service, and an overall outstanding dining experience!
Arrived and seated immediately. Music was too loud. Asked if it could be lowered and it was. Our server, Dalton was friendly and attentive. Asked for the dish without suasage and they were able to accommodate. Did not rush us. Food was good but have had better Italian.
