Limoncello - Chester Springs Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I dined at Limoncello recently and were very happy with the food. He ate the lobster ravioli and I had risotto. Both were delicious. We had cocktails that were average. It was a busy Saturday night. The service was average. They tried to seat us at a two top in the middle of the room and we bargained for a table against the wall which was far superior. It was still pretty noisy. Drapes, table clothes, carpet would all help the noise level. Overall, it was a good meal.
This was my first time at Limincello and my wife and I went to the Chester Springs locatiom. The service was friendly, prompt and attentive. The food was excellent. We both had pasta - the salmon with linguini was flavorful and well-cooked and the lobster ravioli were wonderful.
Waiter was inattentive. He brought water and then walked away. Didn’t give us menus so we flagged him down after nearly 10 minutes and he said that he assumed we were having the buffet. He was not at all apologetic and acted like we were the ones who were out of step. Huh? Shouldn’t he have asked if we wanted a menu or to have the buffet? This was at noon on a weekday. News flash: We didn’t even know there was a buffet !
We made a reservation for 7 PM, not seated until 7:40. Hostess told us several times it would be a few more minutes. Anna was great, but food was just fair. Restaurant had a tough night, we have had several good prior experiences, this was the worst. Hopefully next time will be better.
Extremely slow service for a seating at 5:30 for two people. Both my husband's appetizer and entree were extremely salty. My pumpkin gnocchi was delicious but my salad was nothing special. There are too many other great restaurants in the area. We won't be back
not on a par with previous visits....appetizer was beautiful but bland, one colleague thought risotto was overcooked, fish was not as good as home, shared dessert seemed freezer-burned to both sharers. On the positive side, service was friendly but, sadly, we'd consider other options next time.
All the tables were jammed very close together. It was challenging for our disabled friend with a cane to maneuver around the people, servers and tables to get to our table in the rear of the restaurant.
Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu but did not check back often enough for drink refills. She seemed to be handling a large number of tables at once. The young male servers bringing out our entrees did not first clear the table of our appetizer plates. They were just standing there with our dinners (acting like we should clear the plates) -very awkward.
The food was good, as always.
This is the best place ever for a buffet lunch. It's all hand made, beautifully displayed and perfectly cooked . The wait staff is very attentive without being overbearing. The bar drinks are definitely not watered down and it is consistently great!! I always know I'm gonna have something great to eat when I go to Limoncello Chester Springs!!
This was one of the worse dinning experiences I have ever had. First the food was brought to the wrong table, then I ordered a special for the evening--fish with shrimp and crab. it was so over cooked that I could not eat it, I tried to cut a shrimp and I could barely cut through it with the knife. My wifes dinner was a little better but still not the standards you would expect from this restaurtant. For the price you are better off going to a lot of other better places!!!
In all our visits, we have only had one not-so-great experience. On the contrary many, many good to great meals. This was one of those great meal/experience. Our waiter was was friendly and efficient. we had our 1 year old granson and he loved everything he sampled, as did each of the 4 adults.
We will be back!!
I go to this restaurant for convenience (it is walking distance from my house). For the past six months I have been consistently disappointed by the quality of the food; Frozen seafood, overpriced pasta, tiny overpriced dessert portions ($9 for a tiny sugar pumpkin or a sliver of cheesecake). We ordered muscles and aside from being tiny they were obviously frozen. Five people dined and for the money spent on various pastas appetizers and desserts our entire party left underwhelmed. It's a shame as the wait staff is top notch. But I can no longer justify the price for this restaurant when the quality has fallen so far. I have also noticed there appears to be less and less diners in this restaurant when it used to be standing room only. Management should take note and perhaps look at the quality of the food being offered
My husband and I have been to the Limoncello in West Chester and loved it however our experience at the restaurant in Chester Springs was less than average. We dined on a Friday night. The restaurant was not packed but had a decent amount of people but we were sat in the middle of a room next to another couple that could hear our entire conversation and vice versa. I ordered the Chicken Limoncello and the chicken was quite rubbery, very disappointing. It was our anniversary dinner and it was indicated when we made the reservation but nothing special was done or even mentioned. At the end of dinner we were looking forward to the Limoncello shots and we were not even offered on, when everyone else around us got them. Nevertheless if we are in the mood for Italian we will look elsewhere or take the drive to West Chester.
We have enjoyed limoncello in Chester springs for years
We were very disappointed
My son ordered lobster Ravioli at 600 and was told you were out (the restaurant was not that crowded to be out of a special
He got short rib ravioli and couldn’t eat them
my eggplant parm was not cooked so i returned it
Again we have been coming for years but will probably not be returning
