our server was amazing. drinks were delicious. food was divine.
It was great except for the high noise level. The food and service were excellent.
Everything was just great. Employees were constantly checking on us and everything arrived in a timely manner.
We eat here often, at least 2 times a month. First of all, the food is WONDERFUL. They had really good seafood, ceviche, and the rotisserie chicken is great. It's the hit or miss service that brings this place down. One moment you will have a very attentive server, but more often, you will have an absent, forgetful and somewhat apologetic waiter. On our last two visits, we were forgotten about after placing our orders. After 20 minutes of waiting I had to get up and go get our table our drinks because they left them sitting at the side bar for 15 minutes. The last part of our dinner order was not placed, so we just cancelled it. The food is good, just don't expect good service.
Limón is always consistently good. We tried the lengua- tasty. But the chicken & ceviche were great as usual!
Food was ok. More expensive than last time. The server was very RUDE. Lomito saltado was salty and dry. Burlingame location is best service and ambience
Good food and nice service
Food was pretty good. Cooked well and very flavorful. We ordered the truffle mac & cheese, a half chicken, the seafood rice and the rib eye.
However, the hostess was abrupt and rude. We spoke English and confirmed our reservation, though 2 of us were about 15 minutes late due to how difficult it was to find parking. In fact, we parked about 4 blocks away. The hostess then turned around, spoke Spanish to her coworker about us and debated whether to give us a certain table or not. I guess she didn't know I understood Spanish or maybe didn't care. She also told us that we only had one hour to complete our meal and leave.
Party of 6 with reservations - we were sat downstairs at a table made for 4 - very crammed. We ordered appetizer and one person a salad all of that came at the same time as our meals and before our drinks from the bar even,so you can imagine how crowded the table became. When dessert was brought out a glass of water was spilled on one of our guests alotjihhb the waiter apologized he did not bring napkins or offer to have a manager come over he actually laughed at the situation - we did request a manager after we paid bill in full plus tip as the person who was spilt on shoes were suede and ruined - manager offered an appetizer on next visit but we declined as we will not be back
This place used to be great. Sadly, no so much anymore. The ceviche was very fishy. The limo saltado was undercooked. Seriously, I asked for some sauce and they charge $2.00 for a tablespoon. The waiter was rude and we felt rushed to leave. Then the waiter moves us in the middle of our meal. Sorry limon. Time to go elsewhere ...
Everything from the empanadas to the chicken and green beans was amazing! Will definitely be returning
This place has been our favorite Peruvian restaurant in San Francisco for years, but within the last year or so, it no longer is. My mother's and my favorite seafood dish was the Pescado a lo Macho. They served it with Petrale Sole, but within the last year, they changed it to tilapia and the price increased! Disappointed to learn that a cheaper ingredient was being used and charging more. Upon this last visit, I asked for hot sauce but was told it would be $2! Seriously, $2 for about 2 tablespoons of hot sauce. Sadly, we won't be visiting this place like we used to.
Fantastic restaurant with great food and service!!
great team there! they are so accommodating. I would say noise level is a little louder than desired but overall amazing experience.
Some of the best service I’ve experienced in awhile
This is more about the service than the food. The hostess was a little condescending when speaking with me. I walked in and said I have a reservation for.. and my name... She said it’s not showing a reservation for you. I said, oh well I have the confirmation if you need to see it. Her response was , well sometimes it doesn’t show if you make the reservation 15 minutes before coming in. I said, well I made it this morning.. but before I could finish she cut me off and said .. it doesn’t matter we can seat you. This was my first time at this restaurant and she completely ruined my mood. She could have just seated me to begin with instead of implying that I waited to make the reservation.
The waitress was nice and I had no issues with her in particular. However a server brought out my friends food quickly and my food didn’t arrive until 15 minutes later. I almost cancelled my order. My friend wad about done with her meal by the time mine arrived. This experience made mr not want to return.
Luckily we had enough time since we had to spend there almost three hours. It was terrible busy when we came 5.45pm. We got our table in the basement which hasn't that nice amlbience what you get on the first floor/ground level. Well, it seemed the kitchen had forgotten us. After an hour waiting time and asking several times for our food, the food was finally served cold. No need to say that were already terrible starving... Staff apologized and then everything went faster. The food was very delicious and we got free drinks for the inconveniences.
Overall we had a nice evening but left with a bitter taste...
It was great. Just got seated next to a very loud loud family with many small children. It was difficult to hear. This is not a complaint, I just would have liked to be seated somewhere slightly less ballistically loud. It is very loud downstairs. I should have known better.
It’s always a pleasure hanging out in this place. The food is great and staff very friendly and polite. They did change things a lot. I wanted and extra sauce for my chicken and the waiter said it would
Cost me $ 2.00, when it used to be free. Other than that everything was great!
Great service and meal. Staff was lovely. Food fantastic. Corner table best for noise.
The food and atmosphere were great but after we were done eating we felt rushed out to leave, no time to socialize after dinner. Server came several time, picking up napkins, dishes and water decanter. It was intentional cleaning of our table, we got the hint. It was a going away dinner for a friend too
Our first night of dining in San Francisco didn't disappoint at Limon Rotisserie. Our table downstairs was next to a large and loud group who thankfully left just as we sat down. The ceviche we had was amazing! Service was prompt and we had a great meal.
Very nice customer service, they make you feel at home. Amazing food, so yummy!! My favorite well I really have so many to pick from like the lomo saltado, ceviche, empanadas or the yuka fríes. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Had very rude, unhelpful server. Other than that, good experience, tasty food.
Delicious as always. A little overpriced. Obnoxious bday party.
The food is amazing!!!!!! The portion sizes were slightly bigger than expected. But did I say the food was amazing. I had the Pescado a lo Macho and that sauce was everything!!!!!!! So glad we went here to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and I will definitely be returning.
The staff was friendly, the rotisserie chicken was amazing, as were the sautéed green beans and sweet potato fries we got as sides. The downside was that 1) the ceviche was flavorless and 2) we had made reservations but they had overbooked so we ended up sitting at the bar anyway.
Food was a bit too salty. Not a good place if you want to talk. Very noisy and difficult to hear the other person.
We went on Easter Sunday and arrived as soon as they opened. We were sat promptly and the service was quick. Good value, good food and good atmosphere
Terrible service where a couple of wait staff repeatedly asked us if finished with food to rush us out even though we still had food and drinks and told them we were still eating. He delivered dessert menu while some of us were still eating the meal and brought the check as soon as we got the dessert. The suggested tips on the bill was circled, which was offensive.
The service was terrible. Drinks came after dinner. Our entrees were cold. The ceviche didn’t come until after dinner. Things took forever and no staff member seemed to care. They gave our entire party of 6 one piece of cake on the house to compensate for the terrible service. No one wants cake, the right thing to do when service slips is to make part of the meal on the house. We will not be back unfortunately.
Love this place, wonderful people, very helpful! The waitperson helped us decide and every recommendation was perfect! Loved the tongue! I took my ex-husband's daughter for her first experience with Peruvian cuisine and she loved it. Great food, great service, great value.
Great Food!! Peruvian Food!!!!
I invited one of my friends that she is not Latina and she really loves the Peruvian food
Just a small family dinner
The food was amazing. Very authentic Peruvian cuisine. Love the Lomo Saltado!
Amazing food - totally loved it! A little chilly and noisy for my taste...
Excellent food. We got the quarter chicken, a few salads, and the grilled octopus. The octopus was amazing but it just a few tentacles. The chicken was ok but the portion was very small. For dessert, we were surprised with an amazing bread pudding (with a candle for a birthday in our group -> even though we were told there were no candles -> so this was a fun surprise -> the staff also sang happy birthday to our group!). Overall, awesome but wish the portions were a little larger.
Best Latin food in SF, no question! Creative and fun.
Try the truffle mac and cheese--an ethereal concoction far removed from the gluey too-muchness of most versions.
