Limon Rotisserie - Valencia Ratings and Reviews
I hated the service , the total time that they let us to sit was 1 hour and 15 minutes , our waiter wasn't nice at all , they rush you to order everything very quick , our waiter never left the table till he got our orders , he never gave us private time to make decision over the food , even food was good , I feel i never want to go back there , because you can't really take your time with whoever you are and enjoy your time .
My entire party of six enjoyed our experience. We had people who required Paleo diets, vegetarian diets, & those who only focus on good tasting food. We attended on Mother's Day for lunch and there was a large crowd all enjoying themselves & the staff was uniformly friendly & helpful (including repeatedly taking pictures for groups of people).
Ate here several times a few years ago: was a really fun place with delicious food and good service, a true value. This time, not so much. Service was terrible, dishes came all at once so were cold by the time we got to them. Food quality also downhill and much more expensive. Victim of their own success?
Really unprofessional service and organization. Arrived 5 mins before my reservation time to learn that we would have to wait 30 mins more for a table and could wait at the bar. No point in making reservations and the hostess was pretty unhelpful and slightly rude.
The service was terrible. All the food came at once (5 dishes) and right away without being coursed out. We felt very rushed. Also, we had to ask 3 times for our first round of drinks and they finally arrived several minutes after all the food. We really wanted a 2nd round of drinks and that took over 20 minutes to arrive which was after that'd already brought the check rushing us out. It was moderately busy but the bar didn't seem overworked at all.
Despite the poor service the food was actually great and I like the ambiance so it's a real shame they did so poorly on the service.
Went for brunch. Twelve employees - and just us. Food came cold, sent it back. No apologies. No one asked if everything was okay, or if we needed anything. Had to walk over to get check. The staff were having a great time, most of them behind the bar. WORST service in San Francisco.
The rotisserie chicken is superb and we usually order a whole chicken so we can take half it to go. Most other dishes are delicious as well but don't stand out as much as the chicken.
The sangria is very refreshing and one of my favorite alcoholic drink at Limon.
Manager would not seat me even though I arrived a few minutes early and was willing to start ordering food, because my friend had not yet arrived. I was told they operate "like a tapas restaurant". What's the point of making a reservation if you can't sit at your table?!? The host showing us to the table was also rude. At the end, the waiter then tried to overcharge us on the check. We noticed it was high so we asked for it to be provided in itemised form (which it should have been originally). To our disappointment, the new itemised check was $20 lower so we knew he was trying to overcharge. Disgusted!!! I won't be coming back here, despite the food tasting ok.
I've been here 3 times, each time a little different experience but always pretty delicious.
Sauces - Amazing, although I do not like their chimichurri, it tastes like pure parsley
Rotisserie Chicken - AMAZING
Drinks - AMAZING, although I found the Sangria to be a little sweet. Loved the Pisco Sour and the Pisco Mule though.
Empanadas- great filling and sauces but fried and a little doughy
Limon Saltida- not sure I spelled right but a great dish with rice, fries, steak and bell peppers. The first time i had it was much better than the last time. Last time not enough sauce, and the bell peppers tasted cold/frozen.
I took a first date here, I love Peruvian food so this seemed like it'd be an ideal spot to meet up.
Its in the mission next to 16th so its easy to get to although my date and I both got confused since the other location is so close by. Ooops!
The food was great, the service was a bit off that night but my date and I had a good time.
Was sat at 9pm looked like it would be a good start drink order taken in 5 minutes. Server returned to the table about three minutes later to verify drink order then never came back for water or to take our food order. Both he and the someone that appeared to be a floor manager was extremely interested in the table next to our with the two drunk girl with large breasts. They made 4 visits back while we sat there with menus on the table waiting to order. We left at 9:20 after never receiving our initial drink order or a return of our server. Upon departing we stated to the hostess who sat us that we never received service at were leaving and as should be expected at this busy restaurant was "ok" looked down and moved on, classic and should have been expected. On the plus side waiting for our table upon arriving we sat at the bar grabbed a couple of drinks which were well made and definitely didn't short on the pour! If you look through my OT reviews you'll see I'm a consistent 4/5 star rater but this experience gave me the opportunity to rate a restaurant a 1 star for the first time.
