Limon is a good option for a neighborhood dinner and they have a good HH menu. The passion fruit Pisco Sour was delicious! Ordered the chicken spaghetti and has enough for a second meal the next day!
The Empanadas was deep fried food. It didn’t taste good. That’s not the Peruvian style.
great food great atmosphere always a fun place to eat and drink with friemds
Excellent food and service.
Delicious food!! Best trio ceviche!! Good pisco sour 😋
It's one of the yummiest and kind of expensive yet still affordable Peruvian restaurants I've been to. The Lengua is AMAZING and highly recommend it. The classic fish ceviche is really yummy but very overpriced. The pollo a la brasa was also really yummy. We ordered a side of yucca fries and we literally got 4. It was sad. Actually, most of the dishes are overpriced. The drinks too. At least they're yummy and not as overpriced as other restaurants. We ate on the second level and the noise level was insane. I could barely think myself think, let alone the person across the table from me.
Would go back? Yes
Good Value for what you get? Eh. Debatable.
And every time I go they don't have chicha morada and they have no Peruvian desserts. Two serious downsides.
This was the location for a first date: delicious food, tasty cocktails with a alcohol to juice ratio that’s well-balanced and courteous service.
The “Lomo Saltado” dish and bread pudding are a combination to die for!!!
That noise level is very high does make it challenging to hear one’s date, but it then again, the noise level creates an excuse to sit closer to your date!
Food and service was amazing!! Definitely my favorite Peruvian chain ❤️❤️❤️
We showed early for a party of four, and we’re seated right away which I wasn’t expecting but appreciated. When we sat down, immediately the server was really pushy about what we wanted. He came back two times in the matter of three minutes trying to get our order but we barely had settled into the table. We put in our order, and the food came before our drinks. I understand maybe the bar was busy? But our food should not have come to the table for our drinks. The food is Always really good I never have anything bad to say about that. The server did come refill our waters and ask us how the food was But then didn’t see him again until he came to bring the check, he didn’t ask if we would like dessert. The ambience was really noisy, unfortunately there was a family sitting behind us and the kids were running around. Which I know isn’t their fault but it was kind of annoying. I’ve been to the Van Ness Location several times. Which is a lot quieter, so I will probably stick to that location. Also the parking is extremely better at the other location as well. As we spent 45 minutes looking for parking...
We had amazing meal.
We also made it 3 min before happy hour about to be over, but they had no problems with that and gave us happy hour appetizers and drinks anyway!!
We had White chicken meat roasted with zucchini and Yuca. Ceviche was so fresh, not too salty or sour. Perfect.
Beets salad was sooo delicious and n0t to ok much sauce at all, cooked perfectly and crunchy. We were running late for movies and they were so professional with the service and made sure we not super rushed unless we ask for it.
Very chilled and positive atmosphere.
Great food but way too loud for small group to hear.
Excellent food. However, service was very hurried and we felt rushed. The first thing we noticed while walking into the restaurant was how noise it was. It made it difficult for us to have a conversation without screaming at the top of our lungs. Great place to grab a quick bite, but definitely not recommended if you're looking to have a pleasant conversation with your dining partner given the noise and rushed service.
Loved the food and the beer was amazing too
The ceviche is a must!
Couldn’t be happier with the food and service
Service and food was great, refills on the bottomless sangria were difficult to get towards the end of the dinner though.
Great food and location!
Amazing food and service- the restaurant is just too noisy in my opinion.
The only reason I make a reservation here is because I can’t book anything else in that area. The food is not good. Doesn’t feel fresh or sometimes even edible. The chicken is still good. Everything else not good.
Thank you for dining with us - and for sharing your experience with us. I just wanted to assure you that all of our dishes are prepared and served fresh - we take great pride in our dishes and customer service. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
Great food and drinks as always but the Valencia location is always *way* too loud. One of the loudest restaurants in SF.
I love the relaxed feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The ensalada rusa is amazing, the veggie empanadas super yummy and the ceviche is so refreshing. We also love the sangria pitcher and pisco sour is really good too. Service was well-timed and friendly
The food was great, though the place is very crowded and the noise level is off the charts. The service was a bit on the slow side. The meal was enjoyable, but forget about having a conversation...
Yes, this is a wonderful place to have a great meal on Valencia in the Mission District. The food is absolutely top-notch, the service is fantastic, the dining experience family-friendly, and the location is perfect. It was our first time visiting and it won't ever be our last time. Can I go on and on about the Rotisserie Chicken? We ordered a whole one for two people, and it was the perfect size for having a meal and taking some home for a great leftover lunch. The chicken was so moist and tender, and the sauce that they provide with the chicken is extremely complimentary. To top it all off, we had the bread pudding dessert. I'm screaming bread pudding dessert because I've had some very good ones in the past, and this one is the best of them all. You can't go wrong with any of the desserts, as I saw the people next to us having something different and they were smiling the entire time. Go to Limon Rotisserie and have a fantastic meal!
The service and food are just amazing. The arroz con marisco is one of the best I ever had.
It was my birthday but it seemed as though that didn’t matter at all to the waiter. It was poor service seemed like the bus boys were more attentive than our waiter. I would not go back to this location.
I would tell my friend - GREAT FOOD; HORRIBLE NOISE
Two birthdays and enjoyed everything!
Seriously worth the drive!! I love Limon. Closest to me is WALNUT CREEK and i would rather drive to this location because it’s very well ran. Service is awesome speed of things, food is even better. They do very well getting you in as well.
Great go to spot for consistent flavorful foods! And that chicken....!!!
Lomo Saltado is one of my favorite dishes and Limon Rotisserie never disappoints!
Love this place! Brought my parents here this evening, food and service were great! Empanadas were our favorites and the yucca fries too. Noise level was way too loud this evening...only bad thing.
My first experience with Peruvian cuisine and I will definitely be back for more.
Food was super salty so had to send one of the orders back. Still came back salty. Ordered for a child from the regular menu, waiter didn’t mention one of the sides was very spicy. Charged extra when we asked for a replacement (white rice). Felt rushed as the kitchen was closing at 10. Out of many items on the menu.
We had Christmas Eve dinner here. While I was really happy they were open and could accommodate our large group of 13, a few things went wrong.
1) days before our reservation, I called to raise the number from 10 to 13 people. Despite doing this, the two confirmations I got (one via text 2 days before and and another via call the day before) still had 10. I called 3 times to confirm and each time, they had us down as 10.
2) when we showed up on time, the table was not ready for us. This didn’t make them look prepared or us to feel welcome.
3) instead of opening up the roomy and spacious upstairs (as requested), they squeezed us in a highly trafficked area by the bar.
4) they suggested a Prix fixe menu, which was fine, but had SO much food. We wanted to order for all the adults and order 2 for the 5 children. They said this wasn’t enough of a minimum, though I was never made aware that there was a minimum. We ended up ordering a la carte.
5) the waiter was not friendly to us. Perhaps he was sad to be working Christmas Eve (I don’t blame him), but it was clear he felt inconvenienced by our warm group.
6) after 1.5 hours, we were encouraged to finish up, and shortly after were told we needed to leave because it was getting too crowded and they needed our table.
So there you have it. The food was good and we didn’t let this ruin our Christmas Eve, but they do finitely could have improved on the preparation, warmth and cheer.
Super loud, couldn’t hear each other talk
Great server Gerardo. The best and should be rewarded with bonuses
This place has gone so downhill… Don’t eat here
The food was average. The chicken was a bit on the dry side and the lomo was a little too salty. The place smelled like it was recently cleaned with industrial grade cleaning products leaving a heavy chemical odor.
Very noisy upstairs
Happy hour was lovely. Service was perfect. My passion fruit cocktail was divine and the couple items we got to share were all very tasty
Way too noisy
Great! The food was fabulous and the atmosphere and service was top notch!
