We learned after ordering at that the restaurant would be closing for renovations a few days later. Menu items were not available, food was slow to arrive and were greasy and overcooked. There was 1 server for the whole restaurant, which thankfully was not very busy.
We have never been disappointed at Limestone. Very consistent experience.
Food and drinks were excellent, but the waitress disappeared for too long a few times.
It was our first time there I took my girlfriend there for her birthday it was very quiet and the food was excellent! We will be going back AAA+++
Excellent meal, the Paella special was great.
The service we experienced from the moment of being seated was completely unsatisfactory. Too many issues to list. The food and beverage manager offset our Christmas Eve dining experience by adjusting the bill, rightfully so, and we did appreciate that, however, after three different occasions of similar issues, we will not return to the limestone Grill.
This is the second year my family has celebrated Thanksgiving at The Limestone Grille. We were not disappointed. The management and staff keep things running smoothly. The servers were attentive, efficient and cheerful. In fact, everyone was pleasant from the hostess to the men at the carving stations. There was a wide assortment of hot and cold items. Many were traditional Thanksgiving dishes, but there was also fish and prime rib. The dessert table was extensive and varied. Coffee or tea was included in the price of the buffet. Overall, it was well worth the cost. We will likely return next year.
Excellent meal overall on a busy night with a surprise 10-top that snuck in just before us. Flank steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly, salads were fresh, calamari was exceptional and highly recommended as a starter. The Old Fashioned on the cocktail menu delivered wonderfully to start the evening and moderately priced wines by the glass rounded out the meal. The short rib pasta was a highlight as well.
The place is nice and everything on the menu looked very good. I thought apps were better than the main courses and I heard the desserts were awesome. Our server was short with us and she seemed stressed out although we were there as the only table at 5:15 pm. She would put a plate down on the table and half the meal would slide off. I was not pleased with the service otherwise I'd have given it a better review.
Great food; service was a bit slow.
Worst food I've been served at a restaurant above the fast food level. Date had the Brie risotto, which consisted of flavorless rice above clumps of cheese which would have required a blowtorch to access.
Should have known when we walked in at 7pm on a Friday, and only 4 tables were occupied, us and 3 parties of senior citizens. Locals have obviously figured out this place is worse than the chains across the street.
Avoid at all costs.
We were greeted with a reminder that it was wine Wednesday. We were able to purchase a nice bottle of wine for half off. The salmon was excellent but huge-enough for two. One of us chose the Limestone salad with grilled tenderloin. It was prepared well done as requested and still very tender. The bread is excellent! We did miss the opportunity to choose some smaller portions. Food taken home is just not as good. We did make another reservation upon leaving. Very nice choice instead of a chain restaurant. Also the service was excellent.
Service was impeccable . Good trendy and tasty. Portions huge.
Not impressed with food and service was extremely poor...!
we were the only 2 people in the entire place from 5:00-6:45 pm..
food was very very good.
Good service, good food - a bit noisy. Service was very good.
We had a party of 12 for a business lunch. We were shown to our table and possibly forgotten for a bit, as we were upstairs and they were very busy. We ordered our appetizers and food at the same time, just in case they forgot us again. After 40 minutes, the server came out to tell us that they were out of 2 or the 3 appetizers we had ordered and offered to replace one, in addition we were informed they were out of a few menu items. We received our appetizers slowly one by one and actually did end up with another one of the appetizers we were told they were out of. Entrees finally started to arrive approximately an hour and 45 minutes after we arrived and we ordered out dessert then so we could eat before heading back to work. Our lunch took 2 1/2 hours when we had really put aside 1 1/2 hours. The server was very apologetic and actually communicated very well through out the process. But in actuality the Manager should have stepped in to talk with us. Most of our food was delicious except for the Waldorf Salad with steak that was rare and smelled bad. Desserts were excellent.
Food and atmosphere great. Service was fair.
It was Mothers Day and college graduation. Waitress could not care any less.
In middle of meal, we realized there were bread plates but we never got bread. She forgot?
I would return but would make sure different waitress.
Restaurant was mediocre ....food fare...was expecting something totally different ...felt like I was having brunch in a retirement home
Unfortunately we dined here the night before mother's day and was disappointed to be given a limited menu. I ordered the filet mignon and was served an end piece the size of a medium meatball. We also had to send back the tuna appetizer that was bad smelled like ammonia. After looking forward to.dinning here, I was very disappointed.
Waited close to 40 minutes for food and there were only 4 groups in the restaurant. They said my lamb dish took a long time to cook. It was worth the wait -delicious ad were my dad's scallops
Limestone Grill provides a quiet environment to enjoy a leisurely meal. Table are spaced for comfort and privacy. It provided a varied menu with basic items and specialties of house and has attentive service
The ambiance is very nice, the service very friendly and prompt. This was our first time there, the salad and appetizer were good, the food was not good and very expensive. The mashed potatoes seemed to be from a box. We were surprised at the cost of the specials, wish we could have been alerted to them when we were told about them. Probably will not be returning.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch with friends. Efficient friendly service.
Decor a bit dated.
This is a nice little restaurant. The food was good as well as the service. But it seemed like we waited a long time for lunch and dessert to come out. The waiter was very nice but I think he was the only one working the floor. It was cold so the heat needed to be turned up also. I would recommend this place as long as you are not on a time constraint and also wear heavy clothing at least if you are dining there in the winter months.
The restaurant, service and food were of high standard. My husband started feeling bad on our way to the restaurant....so we will have a better experience next time and be able to complete our meals.
We've tried the Limestone Grill numerous times. Always hoping to have a great meal. The service is good, wine list ok, menu looks good. There were no plates given to us for the bread, served late. The noise level was loud, with someone filling ice buckets in the background. Unfortunately, the food is just average at best. The strip steak special was full of tough grisly lines of fat. Not anywhere near worth the $28. price. We really want this place to survive be a place we want to go too. There are many other better choices in Fayetteville.
The attentiveness of our server, the delicious food and the relaxing atmosphere and ambiance of the Limestone Grille created a pleasant dining experience for us...on business in the area from out of state.
Excellent clam chowder, fish tacos and in-house key lime pie, with the always outstanding coffee service. I've never had a bad dinner here in 14 years. Thank you for your commitment to delivering such a great menu at very reasonable prices.
The coffee was served at room temperature. Requested fresh , hot coffee which required a wait. The server complied . No refills were offered.
The brunch selections had very satisfactory portions. Our choices were enjoyable.
We have been to the Craftsman on frequent occasions and intend to return.
Made reservation and requested a quiet table, we were set next to a big table of loud customers. Food was expensive and not very good, Filet Mignon was dry and overcooked and drinks were very expensive. Would not return.
We went to dinner at the Limestone Grille for our anniversary. We did not have a good experience. My husband ordered a steak which was cooked to temperature he ordered but had absolutely no seasoning or flavor. I ordered the steak tips and ended up sending back my food which I never do. No flavor or seasoning. The waitress was great and brought me a new dinner quickly and removed my original from the bill. She also gave us complimentary dessert. We will not be returning for a second try. We were disappointed because the food prices are very upscale but to our dismay the food was not.
After driving by this dining venue many times we finally stopped and was very surprised by the ambiance. Very attentive staff. The food was amazing. Not hurried or pressured to finish. Will definitely be back
Went there after picking up our daughter from Syracuse university on a Saturday night and got a last minute reservation on OT. Had not been there before and was very pleasantly surprised! Decor was nice and light and the food was very good. The entree came with the BEST house salad I have ever seen! Would definitely go there again.
I thought the lunch was average for the price that was charged. Serving a slice of a pickle and some chips w/a sandwich didn't seem suited for a restaurant of this caliber. I exspected more bag for the buck, may be a free orderve of some sort or a free beverage. It's always something that makes me want to come back and it's usually the food.
All The Best
My husband and I had a great meal here. They do a generous wine pour which is always appreciated! The large mixed green salads with dressed up with raisins and pine nuts were delicious and included in the meal price (again, always appreciated!) Our waitress was quick and efficient and brought us extra bread when she noticed we had finished the first batch. I had the butternut squash risotto with a shrimp add-on and my husband had the pork. Both were cooked beautifully and were very good. We would definitely return here.
Limestone Grille is always a great choice for consistently good food.
The food was great and our waitress was attentive. My only complaint is, when we arrived there was no one to greet us, we stood there for ten or so minutes. Several waitstaff walked passed us and didn't say a word, not even a smile. It seemed unfriendly. I almost left, luckily my husband has more patience than I do. The food was excellent, we're planning on returning.
We made a lunch reservation for Valentine's Day. We were a little disappointed in the menu, we expected appetizers for the holiday. The waiters and hostess were a little off their game today too, Not their usual friendly self. We've been many times and have not been disappointed, so we will try again for dinner.
Everything was very nice. I feel the meals are a little pricey for this area.
