Absolutely excellent. The food was perfect, drinks were perfect, service perfect. Clean. Valet attendants were professional. Very upscale family oriented. Can also be a choice for first, second, third, 100th date (lol). What I’m trying to say is; it’s an excellent restaurant and #1 in my book.
We had a great time at Limani. As I have mentioned before, the prices are very high and the value of the food to the price is over priced.
Amazing seafood. We ordered a whole fish for four at the recommendation of our waiter. Cooked to perfection! We always like to start with fresh oysters, and they did not disappoint. Love Limani.
Food was good but overpriced , service was atrocious , place was empty and it was beyond horrendous.
I had trouble even getting them to fill a glass of water.
We felt rushed . Taking plates away while we were still eating . Never asked if we wanted a second drink . Left out some of my order .
Food is always good . But service aspect needs some training in how to serve and when to clear tables .
The waiter was very insistent that we order the Sea Bass over the Fagri that we love. He never came by to check on us And we found the fish to be disappointing and tough. A shame for $76 for fish....offered us a free dessert and acted as though it was a big favor.
The grilled octopus, Greek salad, and grilled veggies were superb. Too bad on the fish and the service.
Belated birthday dinner. Wanted something informal (we ate al fresco). Something sumptuous. Child looooooves octopus. We just love the fresh food. We dine early so usually have no problem with getting a table. Excellent service! Fresh food!! We will be returning for many years to come.
Very expensive low quality food, partially overcoocked. Also don’t order chilled liquor, they mix it with ice and it gives them a poor taste as a result. Fish was alright but too expensive.
Went for brunch, AMAZING food with MANY options. Definitely worth its value.
I haven’t been back to Limani since they first opened back in 2008 and a friend invited me to dinner so I happily accepted her invitation. As a regular on the Long Island dining circuit, there are so many restaurants that come and go and not as many that stand the test of time. Limani is absolutely top notch. From the moment we arrived the valet whisked our car away and we suddenly entered an Grecian oasis. We were greeted by the manager Kyriakos (who is quite handsome and worth the trip to the restaurant alone). We decided to enjoy the outdoor dining area since it was a beautiful June night and much more intimate in my opinion. The wait staff Romel and Nestor tended to our every whim and made the our experience a memorable one. The service was impeccable, somehow my martini glass was never empty and they made sure the drinks were flowing. In speaking with the manager and him being Greek, we allowed him to select our menu options which we couldn’t have been happier with. When I dine, I like for it to be an experience and rely on the staff to guide me on their best menu items. We started with the classic tomato salad which was delicious and the kolokithi (zucchini chips) which if you haven’t tried, you are basically not living. Think of a delicious lightly breaded and fried potato chip, you’re welcome. We also had the shrimp and the grilled octopus. You could immediately tell the freshness and that is was of sashimi quality. For our entrees we had the branzino and the lamb chops (seasoned and grilled to perfection) both dishes were outstanding. While the food was incredible, what was even better was the attention to detail and the service. On a busy Friday night, the manager kept tending to us making sure each dish was prepared to our liking. I will definitely be back to Limani.
The food was great. The service is good. We enjoyed dining outside. One suggestion is for wait staff to try to remember who ordered what.
I make a reservation for dinner at 7:45 . We are waiting for 35 minutes after finally we seated I was so disappointed.
Noise level was little loud for speaking
Second time there food and service excellent both times ventilation both times not comfortable.
Great birthday dinner
Absolutely, I will recommend Limani. The food is wonderful, the ambiance great, the service professional!
Really terrific. All around. Food was great, service impeccable and beautiful venue.
The atmosphere is lovely, the food is delicious and there is so much to choose from. They even have a beautiful private room for parties.
Limani is fabulous. The downside is the price - it is expensive. However the quality of the food and the level of service is beyond 95% of other restaurants - so to me the price was worth it.
We started with a waiter recommend Greek white wine from Santorini that was fabulous and did not break the bank.
Appetizers- we order several and shared - all were fabulous- tomato & feta salad, spanakopita, and tuna from the raw bar. Each item perfectly prepared and presented. Delicious!
Entrees - we order two whole fish for two and the four of us shared both. Turbot sole and the Fagri (pink snapper). Both were moist, flavorful and buttery with no butter. Healthy and delicious.
Venue was very NYCish - polished but simple. Crowd was mixed but very upscale because of the pricing. Most people were dressed nice and heels / skirts were not rare for women. Bar was lively without people being over the top. Overall a wonderful evening. This was our third time at Limani and 100% will return. Enjoy
We always love going to Limani for dinner. Nestor is our Captain of choice. He makes sure that we get everything we like and need, and makes the evening that much more wonderful. Thank you!
Excellent fresh food
Awesome restaurant and ambience. Only complaint was the service was a little slow.
Consistently great food and service. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday with friends and the manager brought over desert for the table. They also have a very good wine list.
Our server was uninterested and inattentive. Very disappointing at such a nice place.
Very nice staff
There were so many things on the menu we wanted to try but eventually just ordered appetizers. The grilled octopus is probably the #1 all time most delicious dish ever. The lobster bisque was in the top 5. And the eggplant and zucchini thinly sliced fried and served with tzizki (sp) sauce was delicious as well. It is well worth dining in.
Amazing experience the waiting service was beyond accommodating.
Limani never disappoints! Food and service is always excellent. Noise level is a little high on a Friday night but not unbearable.
Overall, the food & service was great! We had the green salad, beets, lamb chops & salmon. The octopus & scallops were exceptional! Disappointed that the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. Also, once the meal ended, we were given the check without asking for it. At that point, we felt “rushed”, so we paid & and left. I paid cash but wasnt offered a receipt. By the next day, got an email from Opentable asking why we didnt show up! Fortunately, the issue was resolved. That explains why I only gave 4 stars.
Son’s college graduation
Always a great meal at Limani. Excellent swordfish .
Place was packed with a well dressed crowed . One of our local favorites on the North Shore .
Sat at the bar for the prix fix, James was great. I will definitely be back again.
I have been to Limani Roslyn many, many times but I dont know what was going on on Sunday that all the waiters were running and I mean running not walking fast from the tables to the kitchen. It may us feel rushed and it looked awful - I almost mentioned it the hostess on my way out. I hope this is not going to be the case going forward - it took away from the experienc.
We were all very disappointed with Limani. Service was very poor. Food was fair. I don't understand why my special of the day did not have a vegetable. My husband's salmon was tasteless.
EXTREMELY overpriced for what it is. 25$ for a thinly sliced eggplant is ridiculous. Would not recommend or return.
Limani is a VERY loud restaurant. This is the first thing that strikes you when you enter. The young ladies who act as hostesses are not very professional. On the contrary our waiter George did an excellent job and was the only upside of the night.
The Greek salad has only one secret. Good, fresh ingredients. Sadly the tomato was inedible (tasted more like a cucumber) and the salad was really cold. Grilled sardines were tasty, as where the sides. The red snapper was over grilled, hence dry. Regarding the desserts yogurt with honey is difficult to screw up but they did a great job screwing up the baklava- very dry with lots of layers of dried phyllo. The champagne was great!
Overall, price point and quality/ambience dont match so I would not reccomend this place.
exceptional food and service, great place for any occassion
Always noisy, but this time really unbearable- could barely converse with the person next to me. In general the early bird menu is a good value, but two of our party ordered lobster (steamed) and the lobstails were extremely tough- the claws were better. Lobster bisque very good as usual, but really tired of Horta- I am a vegetable lover and it doesn’t do it for me. Menu hasn't’ changed in the four ot five years i’ve been going ther.
The service was not good but the food was very nicely prepared.
