Wait staff was very attentive. Food was great as it always is. Drinks were a little pricey.
Very good food. Friendly and prompt service. Will return again. I had their brunch special, My husband burger, and wonderful ice cream for dessert.
Best dining experience in Louisville. Food is spect, waitstaff is friendly and helpful.
We always enjoy our dinners at Lilly’s, particularly the special events. Mrs. Cary and her team put a lot of thought and care into the pairings and it always impresses. And of course, Jeff and the warm staff are consummate professionals. So happy to have this neighborhood bistro right in our backyard.
Service was ok, but not stellar (server could have been more attentive). Food was good, but disappointing... for the price I expected better.
Lilly's is one of my favourite Louisville Restaurants and our meal with a friend last night did not disappoint. My grilled octopus was beautifully presented and the taste equaled the presentation. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening thanks to our gracious waiter, Jeff. I highly recommend Lilly's.
This is the best place in Louisville for a delicious lunch and small business meeting. The atmosphere is both refined and relaxed. The menu is creative, fairly priced, and portions are appropriate for lunch. Service is meticulous. It’s also a wonderful representation of Louisville.
We loved our dining experience at Lilly’s. Service was impeccable and food was extraordinary. Seats are comfy, too!
Dining at Lilly’s is a pleasure — the menu, the drinks, the outstanding food and the service were great, as always. But the real secret of Lilly’s Bistro’s decades long success is its ever-present Owner/Chef, Kathy Cary, and her husband Will, circulating through the restaurant making sure all guests are well taken care of.
Excellent mix of flavors! Would like to see more wine by the glass, however the wine options offered by the bottle were unique and very good.
Perfect place for a perfect meal
Food was fresh and delicious. Service was fast friendly.
Carnitas were amazing. Excellent service. Classy place. No complaints.
Awesome as always
We had guests in from out of town and they could not have been more impressed with their food, the selections and the entire experience. While the locals appreciate what a gem Lilly's is, it is always good to hear that opinion confirmed by others whose experience extends beyond our city.
Lilly’s is always our go-to favorite and has been for nearly a quarter of a century! it NEVER disappoints. We only come to Louisville a handful of times each year, but Lilly’s is a must, and with plenty of competition that speaks highly of Kathy Cary and get team. (Ok, I’ll admit to having a fan-girl moment each visit when Kathy makes her rounds to visit each table!)
Unsurpassed quality of ingredients, extraordinary chef
Wonderful lunch experience! I will go again and recommend to my firends
Terrific food and service. Great Kentucky and international cuisine with a twist!
Outstanding service, drinks and food!
Kathy Cary and staff at Lilly’s are a treasure in the Louisville restaurant scene. Pleasant setting, attentive service from our server, Edward ... and great food. The octopus appetizer, in particular, is not to be missed! Dinner with friends at Lilly’s is always a treat.
Perfect from entry to exit!
This is the second time at Lilly’s and the food was great. The lunch special was awesome. Gazpacho, Salmon over linguine and peach cobbler. Food is always wonderful. I’ll try their carry out next.
Outstanding food and service. Great menu variety and fair prices for lunch. Nice place for a quiet business meeting too. Chef Carey stopped by after lunch to check on our satisfaction. We’ll be back. Don’t skip the frites!
Our server was very rude and disrespectful to everyone at our table. He spoke to us in a condescending way and told us “to hurry up with ordering because he was behind”. The bottle of white wine was also at room temperature and he told us “so? Drink it that way because that’s all I have.”
Had a wonderful time! Excellent food.
Great fresh food, excellent service!
Great neighborhood restaurant
Food was excellent - freshly prepared with great seasonal ingredients. Service was good and not overly attentive.
Entrees were ok, but did not compare with other restaurants in the immediate area. There are several other nearby competitors that I would recommend over Lilly's.
I took my husband to Lilly’s for lunch to celebrate his birthday. It was his first time there and he absolutely loved the entire experience! We’ll definitely be visiting again for a date night. Our Waiter was professional, knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. We asked him to take a photo of us and he went the extra mile to take the best photo he could. We appreciated that special touch!
I've heard about Lily's for years and looked forward to eating there. I wasn't wowed by the octopus. It was cooked perfectly but was in a sauce that I'd compare to a BBQ sauce that overwhelmed the seafood. It came with an artichoke salad, which was fine, and an olive tapenade with toast points. The 3 strong flavors on the plate (the sauce, pickled artichokes, and olives) were too strong to go together well. My fried oysters were fine and not 'fishy'. My companion had the cauliflower steak, which she liked. I ordered the frozen lemon pie for dessert, and it was just average. Our server was excellent. I'd try it again, maybe I just ordered the wrong things.
As always, Lilly’s never disappoints! Gimlets might be the best in town...yum! The summer salad...a lovely take-off on the venerable Caprese salad was delicious, cool, and pleasing to the discerning eye. Halibut being our favorite seafood, we couldn’t resist the special that night and again, it is hard to imagine better flavor and presentation. Finished up with the chocolate thingy...her, and carrot cake for him. Simply dee-vine! And Kathy Cary was her normal, personable self...wait staff are present when you need them and quick to respond. Do yourself a favor and go...especially if you haven’t been in a while.
Great location recommended by local family. Only issue was the special of the night was halibut that was overcooked, dry. Good flavor but not moist - possibly due to the smaller size of portion! Loved the location, ambiance, noise level and service! Thank you!
As always, Lilly's delivers. This was a birthday celebration and the food, atmosphere and service were fabulous. The only drawback was the guy at the bar having a very loud conversation on his phone. Not sure how you deal with loud patrons.
Always a lovely meal. Great wine and good food. Wonderful
Outstanding service from Edward. Food great.
The food was delicious, as always. I had the octopus with smoked paprika appetizer - yum! Halibut special and duck main were beautifully cooked and inventive. Because I ate very little of the duck due to exhaustion, the waiter comped the dish - totally unnecessary as the food was exactly as described and delicious - but just shows you why Lilly's is a Louisville treasure.
