Went for an early dinner with my tween because she’s into the Victorian Era. It’s more of a bar than restaurant with a small menu. We enjoyed it, but they are all very small, high-top tables. Not necessarily what I had in mind when I booked reservations. I’d go for an adult drink with friends but don’t think I’d go back for a full meal.
My gf and I had brunch here. Food was pretty good. Drink was included which was great. The decor looked awesome. Service was also good!
The atmosphere of Lillie’s is interesting. Twenty foot victorian ceilings and authentic memorabilia surround you. But it’s not very clean and feels more old and dirty than antique and authentic. The afternoon tea we came for we not authentic at all. The scones were more like muffins. Whipped cream instead of clotted cream. The cucumber sandwich was nice, not the normal one served at high tea, it was hot and spicy with horseradish, but it was very good. Basically it’s not a true British High tea. The price for their hogh tea was too expensive for something that is not excellent. I would not do it again. It looks like its more of a pub than a tea a house. So for a pub, I would say go for it.
Very nice brunch at Lillie’s, the entire party enjoyed their food and the atmosphere.
Really really loud restaurant - with even louder music on top of the loud people. Fish and chips was soggy. Hangar steak for steak frites was very small portion. Would not recommend to anyone over 25 years old. A young loud crowd on weeknight.
The manager rocks! I went with a big group of friends and we had a great time :) Highly recommend for big groups!
Lillie"s was a fun, comfortable place to meet a friend for lunch. The ambience is wonderful. I love that so much of the decor including the bar came from Britain. Fun to look at everything. Excellent lunch special...includes a glass of wine! Look forward to going back soon!
Overall a nerdy charming place. Great atmosphere, varied menu, and nice vibe. Try it!
Nice food, good atmosphere, pleasant service and great value Sunday brunch.
The staff at Lillie’s was congenital and accommodating. Being St. Patrick ‘s Day, the place was very noisy and busy. Still, it’s a place we intend to revisit.
The prices were very good, but the food was mediocre to ok at best. The service was the best part of the experience, they were are very attentive. I would recommend if you were just looking for a hangout after some late night event on broadway. Not a ‘special occasion’ kind of place.
Jessie was the best server! Engaging, bright, funny and accurate. Love your decor and the cheese plate. It made a great end-of-meal selection. Will be coming back.
The server had a bad attitude and was rude when we told her she brought gr wrong side to one of our sandwiches. It was busy but there aren’t that many tables. We waited absurdly long to order more drinks which resulted in a much smaller bill. They didn’t recognize that I had an open table reservation- I’m glad I called the day before to change the count because they claimed I didn’t have one at all.
Great service , great food but a bit noisy. We were glad to be sitting in the back corner and would go again when it’s less crowded.
Lillie's is visually pleasing and the food was very good. The lunch special was an excellent value, and we were there when it wasn't busy, so it was a very relaxing meal. Would definitely go back!
Went with my family for their first ever visit to NYC - they loved and all around was our favorite family meal of the weekend! Our waitress was one of the best I’ve ever had, was super personable and made us laugh many times. Our meals were beyond amazing — I still can’t get over how great it was. They even surprised my dad with a birthday cheesecake! I love that this location does the 7 day a week cheeseboard and wine special for happy hour (though not advertised AT the restaurant it is a great deal)!
Very ecclectic decor. First time in NYC and stumbled upon this place. Not a huge menu, but enough to feed 4 picky eaters. Cocktails were good, but the ambiance is truly what makes this restaurant. I would go back.
The decor is incredible! MY boyfriend and I were very impressed. Food was good but service was slow. Would definitely go back!
With a name like "Lillie's Victorian Establishment" I thought I had found a fine dining establishment with reasonable prices and I was ecstatic. The pictures looked very nice and I thought this would be the perfect spot to get dressed up and have a nice dinner before seeing a show. I was mistaken. The ambiance of the restaurant is much more bar-like. With a handful of too close together high tables to have a meal at. While the food was good the service was not... took 45 minutes for our food to get to our table. Overall I'd give this place 3 out of 5 stars.
Lovely spot for a quiet lunch meeting; casual, comfortable and superb value. Great service. Turns into a loud happening place in the evenings, if that’s what you’re after
I frequent lillies, it was my first time going with a large party, I recommend a small group or just a pair.
The food was good, but it was not what I ordered. I didn't want to send it back,as my friends meal had already been delivered. I didn't want to wait for a new order.
One of my favorite places in NYC by far! Good vibes and amazingly friendly staff
The first was good. The service was slow. Go when you have plenty of time.
The food was good! Service was great and had a nice wine selection. Looking for a good spot around union square I’d go here
This was a great place to visit in a part of New York that we hadn't really explored. BEST tuna melt I've ever had, and just the cutest place (especially decorated for Christmas).
So pretty and a great lunch special menu! Lillie’s feels like a beautiful little secret!
Christmas decor was over the top and amazing!!!
We had a lovely meal and enjoyed the atmosphere. Loved the Christmas decorations and lively crowd.
Went on Christmas eve they should not have been open Thay were short on staff and our food took over an hour drinks too one half hour. I have been to Lillie’s in the theatre district and loved it not here. Food was just slopped on the nachos tasted luke they squeezed cheese wiz on them . Our order came out wrong. Also because we were a group of 6 they included the 20 percent they did not deserve that much but you could not get anyone to help you. I will not go back really bad experience on a very special night.
Really great decorations for Christmas. Food was mediocre to say the least.
Great brunch deal with cocktail included. Great decor. Food was not good. The omelet came out overdone, kind of crispy. Too hungry to send it back. Other tables were complaining about food issues as well.
It has been hit or miss for me at Lillies. I can be squeezed into the corner, fighting to get a beverage, or on this occasion, there was plenty of space but my party and I couldn't wait to get out of there. From the moment we walked in it smelled like bathroom disinfectant. It was strong and noticeable from the start and seemed to increase in potency when we sat down. I am generally not precious about those things but it was so palpable that my party and I did not eat and ordered a drink hoping it would get better. It did not. We ended up going across the Square to Pete's Tavern instead.
Excellent service and great value for NYC. Burgers are really good.
Fun place, good drinks but food barely passable. Need to do better. Otherwise festive for holidays. Very very noisy.
We didn't realize this was more of a happy hour place and not a quiet dinner restaurant. It was packed and loud with both voices and music. The Christmas decorations were beautiful, and the Shepherd's Pie was delicious, but the overall experience was not what we expected. At least on a Friday night, I wouldn't go there for dinner.
Fun and lively place with a great lunch menu. Close to Union Square and shopping.
For the past 5 years we've had a our annual friends christmas kick off dinner at Lillie's . The restaurant looks like someone barfed up Christmas and we LOVE it! The cocktails are great and the menu has always been excellent...until this year. We always look forward to a delicious assortment of appetizers but this year we really struggled with what to order. It seemed like all the non meat options were loaded with cheese and grease and it felt like we were eating at a cheap pub instead of our favored Lillies ...so many of the items we were excited for had been removed from the menu but weren't replaced with better options. Two of my friends who are vegetarians ordered the farro dish as an entree but it was not good at all...they took one bite and left the rest. It pains me to say we were very disappointed because we so look forward to dining at Lillies...we really hope you bring back the old favorites like the pepper poppers with Sea salt, the crostini's with a variety of toppings to choose from...so many great tastes that don't pop up on every other restaurant's menu. But on a positive note our cocktails were delicious, our server was wonderful and the ambiance was festive and great as always!
Fun, but VERY loud. At happy hour, it is almost impossible to hold a conversation. Snacks are fine. Go for the theme and the scene.
Brunch Food was good but nothing exceptional. Price is very cheap. Drinks were okay. The Bellini was mostly over sweetened peach purée. The regular Bloody Mary was okay. The Gin Pickle Bloody Mary was much better. The decor is 👍🏼 the server was flighty, forgetful and almost nonexistent. Work on service and the over salted foods.
Fun if you don’t expect to be able to hear the conversation you’re having.
