Lillie's Times Square Ratings and Reviews
Made a reservation for lunch after seeing the rockettes! Great Christmas decor! Food was delicious and more than reasonable. Got the lunch special for $14 which came with a glass of wine or beer and a sandwich with fries or salad. I got opted for the gluten free ravioli and it was delicious! Highly recommend! We were seated upon arrival even though we were a few minutes early. The service was quick and friendly. The tables are high tops and close together with the restrooms downstairs so may be a bit of a challenge for the less ambulatory. Great experience, happy to have found it!!
We booked prior to arriving in New York and upon arrival was told we didn’t have a booking even though we had confirmation on our phone , we both found the girl in reception extremely rude and when we proved we had booked she didn’t apologise just stormed us to our seat!! Shame really because apart from her attitude the restaurant was great the ambience was great and so was the food . But first impressions are what your opinions are based on!
What a great surprise, booked on line, and on arrival the atmosphere was great. Noisy, vibrant, loud, feel good. Had a great time, wacky decor and brilliant buzz, if you want a quiet meal then not for you, but if you want some great retro music and a good time then go for it, we will again next tine we’re in the city!!!!
The restaurant had a great atmosphere, the decor was Victorian-shabby-sheek. It was decorated for the holiday. We were seated right away even though we were 10 mins late due to subway delays. The food was good, I wouldn't say exceptional. The service was again good but not exceptional. We did have a very nice time.
I was disappointed in Lillies after reading good reviews. I booked for a special occasion and noted this on the booking so hoped my parter would get told happy birthday but nothing. The waitress wasn’t the very friendly and the food mediocre. I asked to swap 1 item for another which seemed an easy request but it was not and when my meal came this hadn’t been done. The decor is lovely but I would not go back.
Lillie's was vibrant, cheerful and Seusically decorated for Christmas on a late Tuesday night. Our food was good although the nachos came out burned. But not to worry, our server brought fresh chips for us while they made a new one and threw in a free glass of wine. We left happy and will be back our next trip to NYC.
Loved the decorations! It was so beautiful and elegant. The food was also really good and came out very quickly. We got pancakes and egg/bacon/toast. I don't drink but drinks are included in the brunch price, making it a very good deal if you do. The seats are pretty close together, but we went when they had just opened so there was no one around us. It did take us a while to get the check, but apart from that it was awesome.
Beautiful place - probably the prettiest in the entire theatre / Times Square area. Very good staff who constantly checked. The lunch Prix Fixe at 14 is a vet good deal plus you get this gorgeous. The only negative is high top SMALL tables then high stools. I for one really Hate that (I know Hate is a story g word - but I ha e walked out of many places that only had that for seating). But this was a pre arranged lunch and as mentioned the place was very beautiful. I strongly recommend that they get some regular chairs and table for the back area.
Then it would be 5 stars all around
On a Friday evening it was very loud and so crowded that we were led through an underground passage to reach our table in the back of the restaurant. Would probably be a great place at a time when it’s not so crowded and loud. Food and drinks were good and came within a reasonable time.
I chose Lillie's because I thought that Victorian atmosphere sounded different and fun. I expected a more elegant and quaint atmosphere, but it is more like a classier type pub. It is definitely not like the midwestern pubs I am used to. I actually liked this one. They have pub food, but they also have a good seasonal mix. I had a butternut squash soup that was fantastic.
The restaurant is beautiful, especially the enormous bar. The service was fine. The food, however, was just okay or less. I ordered the vegetable omelet for brunch. The vegetables seemed to be leftovers from last night's burritos. I was given one slice of soggy toast and a few tablespoons of lukewarm overcooked potatoes. I really wanted to like Lillie's, but I was very disappointed in the food. I won't be returning.
It was so noisy and crowded. Hostess had to take us downstairs then down a hallway then back up stairs to get to back of restaurant where our table was. The beets in the beet crostini were not cooked enough and were crunchy. Macorons that we ordered for dessert tasted stale and had no flavor. Big disappointment
Very convenient restaurant for Broadway shows and they take reservations! It was very crowded and close quarters, but that's not unexpected for this area. The food was good, not great. The wait staff was very good and friendly. Pricey for the quality, but again not unexpected. I would go again. Note that all the tables were pub height. Not a problem for my tall family, but worth noting. Not a great place for young kids.
Cool atmosphere, great beer and wine selection, terrific food as well! Just one suggestion: when your customers order decaf coffee, make sure your servers SERVE decaf coffee! My wife and I received Americano coffees without being given the choice of a different option. The waitress said that Americano coffees are the closest thing to decaf that they had... which by the way, isn’t close to decaf coffee! An apology and an alternative option is the least that should have been offered. Otherwise, great place!
Really unique atmosphere, great staff. Food was good, love that I ordered a rare burger and it actually was rare (and delicious)! Our waitress was great, the decor is unique and interesting. We were seated very close to another couple and I was worried we'd be talking over each other but I couldn't hear them at all. My wife had several unique cocktails and I had a couple good draft beers. Only negative is the somewhat limited menu. But there were several dishes I'd like to try in a future visit and the large bar would be a great place to grab a pre- or post-event drink. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and I would recommend this place to anyone seeing a show in the area.
