This restaurant was very quaint looking so we made a reservation the night we passed by.
When we arrived the hostess was out smoking a cigarette. We should’ve left then. When we were seated she was unfriendly and the waitress was extremely unfriendly throughout our meal. The food was really outstanding but the general attitude of the people working here made this experience sour.
Very nice ambiance with great service and a creative, delicious menu. While not inexpensive, prices are reasonable and a good value for offerings.
The food was excellent though not a huge selection. The service was a bit slow, though.
Great French Bistro in Uptown New Orleans..... a long time winner of our palate.
Great food and service! Only complaint would be that when we arrived for our 7:00 PM reservation our table was not ready. We were offered an outdoor table, but it was a little chilly so we declined. We were asked to wait next door in the bar until around 7:30 or 7:45. The food made up for the wait. Would definitely go back!
Excellent table, service, and food!
Thank you all and see you soon.
Being a Catholic in NOLA during Lent is never a sacrifice as seafood of this exceptional caliber is almost sinful!!
Gnocchi is outstanding! And you must try the Nutella dessert...the brittle is worth every calorie! We will definitely visit Lilette again on our next trip to NOLA.
One of the best overall meals we have had in several years.
We were in NOLA for a conference and Lilette was recommended by a chef friend. We made a reservation and a FOH staff member called me to see if we would be interested in being seated in the terrace garden. After asking about weather considerations, she agreed that if we weren't ok with it when we arrived, we could be seated inside. We arrived after a really difficult, long day and were looking forward to chilling with a great meal. It was an early reservation and the restaurant was empty apart from a single 2-top when we arrived. We were seated on a small table on a relatively run-down outdoor porch - not at all what we were expecting based on the photos and recommendations we'd had. We asked to sit inside instead and the hostess said no, our reservation was for outside. I told her that I'd been told we could eat inside if it wasn't agreeable to be outside (it was chilly, the heat lamps were not on, and it wasn't a garden!) and that we had adjusted our reservation based on their request and assurances. She apologized again, and asked if it was ok - we replied no, it wasn't ok. She went inside the restaurant and returned to say she could seat us inside as long as we left by 7:15PM - it was 5:45PM. We sat in a lovely booth and had an AMAZING meal. The service was impeccable, the craft cocktails perfectly done, and all three courses were sublime. We were finished by 7:00PM. So a rocky beginning by the FOH turned into a great ending by the waiter, phenomenal bar, and incredible kitchen. Lilette is a gem and completely worth a trip out of the convention center closer CBD/French Quarter/Warehouse areas. It's a short taxi/uber away and well worth it!!!
Outstanding escargot and best steak frites I have bee had! Highly recommend
Best restaurant in Nola!
Made a reservation weeks in advance. Upon arriving to the restaurant,on time, there were plenty of empty tables but we were asked to wait at the bar. 10 minutes later, still waiting ,we approached the receptionist again. The manager overheard the conversation, they then had us sit upstairs on the landing near the kitchen door & a very noise table. Service was poor & the menu very limiting.
We had great time Las last night. The food was amazing.
It had a magic touch and fine fresh ingredients. I enjoyed the whole Mediterranean sea bass and my wife the hanger steak. They do also have an extensive wine list.
Staff was accommodating to our reservation since we arrived early, however we were seated outside next to a tree which was riddled with ants. It hard to imagine eating anything else past our appetizer, the food looked amazing but being outside was not worth it. Would love to come back for main seating to have a full coarse meal.
We enjoyed a meal and bottle of wine on the patio. The sunchoke soup was delightful, and the meal overall was excellent. On a Friday night, we were pleased that the patio was quiet, and the service spot on. We were visitors to New Orleans and enjoyed getting out of the quarter and being among (what seemed like) the locals.
This was the second time eating here in a week. The first time was good with decent service. We sat outside tonight and really had subpar service. The food was good, but the poor service made everything just ok and not worth coming back a third time.
One of my favorites. Food delicious and imaginative.
We had the most wonderful dinner in the courtyard on our recent trip to NOLA. Shared several appetizers that were portion perfect, then had a wonderful entree. Every bite was a party!!!
Good food, good service .. only complaint: tables for two very close together
We chose to eat outside, which eliminated the somewhat noisy atmosphere inside. We ordered a variety of dishes - my colleagues were happy with their meal, I found mine not to be particularly good. That said, the service was very good, and the ambiance was very good. I recommend Lilette, but perhaps not as highly as I might have in the past.
Excellent food and service as always.
Had to wait almost 30 minutes past our reservation time but food was delicious.
The food was great and the service superb. Prices run a bit high, especially on the wine. However, certainly the quality is very high on everything. I will return.
Ate in courtyard. Peaceful
Enjoyed a delicious and well managed meal.
Consistently elegant food, service, and quality. The crudo of the day is not to be missed and the same is true for the lobster appetizer. The spiced-drum entree never fails to please. The wine selection by the glass is awesome, especially when paired to complement your meal.
Excellent atmosphere and delicious fresh dining experience!!
Service was good, but our food came out slow even though there wasn’t many patrons there when we arrived and ordered. Sauces were too salty for all 3 dinners and appetizers.
My wife and I again went back to Lilette. She started with the beet salad, warm, and delicious. She followed with the Italian wedding soup, and the a beautifully cooked drum. I started with escargot and mushrooms, followed by the sweetbreads, cooked to perfection. Last I had the hangar steak, cooked well, but I will not order a hangar steak again. Just a drawback of the cut I believe. The bread could be better. Good service.
Lilette has always been one of our favorite places! Yesterday proved why we love Lilette and the reason we pick it for the rare date lunches we have. 2 words summarize our experiences — consistent and personal. Louis is such a great manager! He is always walking the restaurant, talking to the patrons, and making sure everyone is happy. My son lost his first tooth in the Kobe burger (in 2009!) and Louis always treats us as family. My wife broke her leg and everyone went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable and enjoying her only outing for the week. Food is spot on! We love it and anyone that visits New Orleans should venture out of the tourist district to come here. You won’t regret it!
Delicious food and top notch service!
Beautiful place for conversation and wine. Comfortable to be there. Very memorable.
Delicious, but overpriced. Waitress tried, but it was too crowded to be too attentive. Too little sound absorbing decor makes conversation an effort.
Have been in NOLA for years and never managed to get to Lillette. Finally a friend demanded we go while he was in town. Glad I listened to him!
had been wanting to try for a while, chicken was excellent.
The food was fantastic. The service could have been better. I highly recommend the restaurant.
Excellent food and service......wonderful small atmosphere!!
Lilette never disappoints. Food an service are amazing.
Gnocchi appetizer was very good. Perfect light gnocchi. Everything else that followed was just as good. The wine list runs on the expensive side with only a few bottles under $70. Those that are less are good choices.
