Very good food for a very reasonable price. Nice view of Ocean City across the bay and the golf course while dining .
Jessica was the sweetest and most attentive server we ever experienced!
We went for a birthday celebration and the restaurant didn't disappoint. Great food, service and views.
This restaurant use to be outstanding, but seems to be slowly declining. The view from the dining room is one of the best, the "Two for $69" is an excellent value but the menu hasn't changed any in a long time. The chairs are downright uncomfortable and almost impossible to get out of because you sink so far into them; the chairs were joked about by other customers as well. We were all wondering if there was an available lift to help us out of them; the chairs need to be reconditioned with the springs being replaced. Will still recommend the restaurant but with comment; I will also return again at some point, but will wait for awhile.
The ahi tuna appetizer were very good. I Ordered the rib eye medium and the au gratin potatoes and asparagus. All were burned. I had to return it. They offered another dish. I chose the Cod special. It was mediocre at best. Though I must say the service was very good. The waiter was apologetic and were attentive. We ordered the bread pudding. That was served with a glass of Prosecco .very good too. It’s a shame the entree was not good.
Great waiter and food
The ratings here don't reflect our actual experience, but I wasn't sure how to do that under the circumstances. We had made a reservation using Open Table, and I confirmed the reservation by email the day before. When we arrived, we were told that in fact, the restaurant was closed for a private event that evening. The hostess said she'd tried to call me multiple times to let me know, and when I looked at my messages, there they were. But I rarely look at my phone.
I don't hold the restaurant completely responsible for the confusion. It seems to me that if I make a reservation by email, communications about that reservation should be sent via email. I'm assuming here that the restaurant gets that information from Open Table. If not, I suggest that Open Table provide it. And I'd suggest that the restaurant use all the contact methods the customer provides to sent messages.
As it turned out, we chose a different restaurant, and it was the best meal we had all week.
Always enjoy our time here!
Since there was a wedding there, service was not as good as usual. We did not have our favorite waiter, even tho we requested him. A little disappointing!.
Disappointed that management did not address the noisy children running around the restaurant during our meal. Two members of our party never had water glasses re-filled. Thought for small number of guests present, food took a longer time than anticipated to arrive
We've been vacationing in OCMD for 30 years and had our first dinner at the Lighthouse Sound this past week. Found it on the internet, and took a chance. It's a nice and quiet bay-side location with a dining room view. The live music in a separate bar area was light and contemporary, and nice that it is sectioned off from the dining area in a way that you could enjoy it but not have to shout your dinner conversation. Cocktails before dinner were well made and our wine with dinner was from a moderately priced selection. Best were the Lighthouse staff. Warm and friendly. Our server Stephen was on top of everything, very helpful and humorous. In all the Lighthouse Sound hit all the right buttons; great location, great atmosphere, nice folks, super food and drinks and moderately priced. We plan to make it a routine visit whenever we are in OCMD.
I live down here and have been to many restaurants in the area and the service was then worst I ever had. Chairs made you feel like you were sitting on the floor. Took us 3 hours to have our meal and it wasn't really busy. I think they only have one person cooking.
Great friendly service. Wonderful food and views. Will definitely be going back when we are down in OCMD for vacation again.
Perhaps the first or second best restaurant in the region. Exceptional views of the sound throughout the restaurant, creative cuisine and remarkable offerings combined with attentive and superior service makes for a superb experience.
The dining room was quiet and spacious and the view of the sun setting, though cloudy, was lovely. However, our chairs were too low for the table, despite extra cushions that were provided. This made for awkward eating. A salad with fruit topped with grilled shrimp was spoiled by canned mandarin oranges in August, when fresh fruit and berries are plentiful. A vegetarian pasta dish was very good, as was the crab soup.
A very lovely and outstanding dining facility in a truly exceptional and beautiful setting. This was our second visit and both times we were blown away by the awesome food quality and superior service. Kudos to a very well run dining experience.
The views were spectacular but the food was disappointing. My filet was overcooked (ordered medium ) and not a great cut.
Not sure if we will go back but the view and great service may give it a try again.
Excellent service from Jessica. Delicious food and ambiance.
We went to Lighthouse sound with my three kids (twin 3’s /9) and their two friends (twin 10’s). It was a wonderful experience! Not only was the food fantastic but the scene on the bay was magnificent! My kids enjoyed running around outside before and after too with a picturesque backdrop where ocean meets nature. Definitely a great place for vacation family photos also. All around A+ and not many people know about this place. It is right on the other side of the 90 bridge. It took 5-10 mins to get there from my condo on 73rd/coastal highway in ocmd. They were kid friendly and service was perfect. Will definitely visit this place again next year!
As usual, a great evening. This is a very reliable restaurant that you can be comfortable bringing anyone to. One star off on the food because the portions on the Mahi-mahi with asparagus were a little skimpy for the first time.
Stephen was an excellent waiter. We really like the early bird special.
Very good , great service and food, always enjoy coming
The food was just OK, Not bad but not special. The steak was not the best cut of meat and the Salmon was overcooked and dry.
Impeccable service. Stunning view. Best creme brûlée of my life. Short drive from oceanfront with a sophisticated, casual vibe.
Rock fish special was out of this world, but the crabcakes were sub par. Great dining room at golf club. Attentive service. Good value.
The food was yummy but expected the dish to have more flair. The dishes looked simple. Waiter was very attentive, never had to flag him down for service. The only thing I didn't like was not being able to taste wine before opening. $38 dollars a bottle for 14 hands which is normally less than $14, you would think they would already have bottles open to try before committing.
Always a great experience at Lighthouse Sound. The wait staff was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. They also had a nice food selection for kids. We will be back!!
Fantastic food and service in a beautiful scenic golf course restaurant overlooking all of Ocean City, MD
Very weird for a restaurant in a golf club to not have sparkling water...
We were celebrating an anniversary and we really had a wonderful dinner. The waiter, Andrew, was attentive and was as good a server as the food was that evening. We enjoyed items off of the early bird (three course pre-fix menu for 2 for $69) and the selections were tasty and was a lot of food - and very good food.
The weather that evening was particularly nice, so we enjoyed strolling around the property after dinner as well. My family typically dine at this location just once a year when we spend time at the beach once a year. If we should come back to the area, I am 100% confident that we will return and hope for half as good a waiter as Andrew too. Cheers.
Trent was our efficient and friendly server tonight. It was our first time to this restaurant and we would definitely return again. My husband and I both had the broiled crab cakes and they were the best I had eaten anywhere in Ocean City! Ambience was excellent, even with the sudden thunderstorm that came through as we were dining. Service was superior and we were unrushed with savoring our entrees. Topped our dinners off with a shared creme brulee and it made a perfect evening!
Service was impeccable! Food was awesome! We dined here twice in two weeks! We will be back again , thanks!
Scenic view over the golf course, and the water. Limited menu, but the food was well-prepared. Our server was outstanding.
We enjoyed having Andrew as our server as our favorite server was off that night. The steak was tender and delicious as was the crabcakes. Our favorits in the Ocean City area!
We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and were fortunate to be seated at a window-side table, enabling us to enjoy the spectacular water views. We opted for the 2 for $69.00 three-course meal and were not disappointed. The Merlot bottle of house wine which came with our meal was delightful. Both the starter plate and salads we chose were tasty and plentiful. We both "upgraded" our entree selection to the Filet Mignon (accompanied by a plentiful side of potatoes and green beans almondine) and it was cooked to perfection and as requested. Andrew our waiter was knowledgable, efficient and personable. The atmosphere was casual yet still what I would call fine dining. Attention to detail was prevalent throughout our entire dining experience. We will definitely return.
My wife and I were dining at the restaurant to celebrate my 34th birthday. It was a fantastic intimate space with delicious food and very efficient and professional staff. We were visiting the Ocean City area and will be coming back to this restaurant for special occasions in the future!
Nice view, nice quiet place for dinner. AC wasnt working well and they do not seem to acknowledge special occasions. Server, service was good
A very nice restaurant. Great service and amazing food. The chicken piccata was outstanding.
Very experienced 3+ Yrs here waiter (Andrew) was excellent & to be requested on All future visits.
The bar for drinks before dinner was so enjoyable. Zeppy is a great bartender. He also took care of getting our balloons and gifts on the table to surprise my mom for her 90th birthday! Service was attentive. Food is very standard fare, tasty. Ambiance is nice. View is gorgeous! Need to upgrade the AC, as it was a bit warm.
