Excellent service from our server Andrew. Food was presently well. Only suggestion for improvement was the high noise level coming from the bar area for the first 45 minutes of the meal. They should find a way to quiet the bar area from the fine dining when there are large gatherings in the bar.
What a great surprise - wonderful and even better service. Had dinner outside with a super views.
Had the cod special. Tasted frozen, not fresh. Eggplant appetizer was very good. Outdoor seating has superb scenery.
Lighthouse Sound has perhaps the best view in the Ocean City area!
We’d just finished golfing and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner afterwards.
This was our first time to Lighthouse Sound - overall it was very very good. The view was spectacular and the restaurant was elegantly decorated. The hostess was very accommodating since we, a party of 6 wanted to sit outside. Our waitress was also very good except she forgot to bring one drink with all the others and it took awhile after the others were served. (it was a Diet Coke) .. and we also needed napkins, utensils and bread plates to start. However, that’s just small stuff and did not take away anything from Our evening. We will definitely be going back.
The food was delicious! My daughter and I split the fried avocado w crab and mango salsa. It was fabulous!! Next time I’m getting one just for myself! My son and his friends for the crab dip - they devoured it. My husband ordered the mussels. - he liked them. I on the other hand did not care for them. Very salty.. our meals we excellent, crab cakes, airline chicken w/ crab risotto, blueberry pork chop and seafood pasta was ordered. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
We did not get dessert - so I can’t comment on that.
One thing, the bugs were starting to come out and biting while we were eating. They didn’t have any citronella for the tables/patio They did have OFF bug spray that they brought so we could spray it on ourselves. Kind of awkward since food was already on the table.
Overall - it was a wonderful evening and we will be going back to Lighthouse Sound. Most likely eating indoors.
A bit disappointed with food. However beautiful views.
Service was outstanding and meals were very good. Menu was very limited and lacked options
Had a very nice dinner!
This was our first visit to Lighthouse Sound and we had a wonderful experience. Cocktails, salad and entrees were all delicious (too full to order dessert). The view eastward across Assawoman bay is amazing.
We will definitely be back.
The ribeye is the best item on the menu. I'm not a big fan of the old school dining where you can pick your side.
The food is outstanding and Lighthouse Sound is still the best secret in the area! Service and views of Ocean City are spectacular! Such a great value!
Lighthouse Sound is the best kept secret near OC! The service is first class, the food is delectable and the view of the bay and the Ocean City skyline is priceless. We asked for an outside patio table due to the current pandemic and were given the same white linen service out there! Classy!!! And they had entertainment on the patio to boot for “Friday Fun night on the Patio”. Check it out, get away from the madding crowd, you won’t be disappointed!
The dining experience was top notch from beginning to end. Everything was delicious and the service was great. I wouldn’t say the food was overpriced; you get what you pay for. Best mussels we have ever had. Will eat here again!
Food was great after a round of golf. The patio was nice and shady in the evening and the breeze felt good. Great views!
This is a Hidden Gem. I've been coming to Ocean City for over 40 years. This is nowhere close to your typical Ocean City Strip Restaurant. It is quite quiet peaceful with a beautiful view of the golf course and the water. The food is fantastic and the menu is quite abbreviated as they seem to want to perfect every dish. If you want a nice quiet meal with little to no wait I strongly suggested place
The Ahi tuna was good but seaweed on the side would have complimented it .
If you have a chance try the tuna at Catonsville Gourmet and you will understand
Good value! Very nice experience
Beautiful views and great food & service ! One of the best in the area
I haven’t been this pleased from visiting a restaurant in a LONG time! My boyfriend and I were in the area and decided to try this gem out.. knowing that Ocean City and the surrounding areas can be notorious for mediocre food. However, Lighthouse Sound was far from mediocre. Whether it had been the service (thanks, Andrew! Request him, you won’t be disappointed) or the food, this place was great. Fast, knowledgeable service and food & drinks that tasted above and beyond.
Food was pretty poor. Half the mussels weren’t opened. Seafood Pasta was just bad despite quality ingredients. very plain and poorly cooked. Service was so so. View is fantastic.
Very good food and service, though I was disappointed that the regular restaurant was not available and the staff was friendly as usual.
I love the view out onto the bay. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The salmon was amazing and the mussels were tender, large, and seasoned to perfection. Service was well-timed and friendly, and the 2-dine for $69 was a great value.
My only complaint is that my Margarita was small and weak and my friend's wine portion was very small.. Food was great.
We would have never found this restaurant without checking Open Table. Ahi Tuna appetizer was very good as well as the Lobster Bisque. We both had the Seafood Broil which was very tasty and perfectly cooked. Our server, Andrew, was very attentive. Tables are arranged to give every diner comfortable personal space. Wine selectionis a little limited but very reasonably priced. We definitely recommend.
A beautiful location overlooking the bay! Top quality food and service! Highly recommended!
Lovely evening with great food, and excellent server (Andrew)
First time at this restaurant. Ordered the “2 can dine for $69” and it was a good value. Arrived before sunset and only 1-2 couples seated by the large window, so we were lucky to get a table at the window with a good view of water. House wine (Chardonnay selected) was excellent, warm rolls really good. Ordered appetizer to share (flatbread)- a great choice, 4-5 slices of tasty tomatoes & cheese on roasted flatbread. Spouse had cup of Maryland crab soup (I tried it, tasty, a little bit of crab), I had Ceaser salad (but overdressed, it was ok). Entree was delicious, good portion -I had salmon, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Spouse upgraded his flat iron steak to filet, and wow- what a tender well-cooked meat! Overall excellent dinner. The music was interesting- a slowed version of popular songs sung by female (we guessed one to be, “You’re the One that I want” from Grease, and other to be “Ordinary World” by Duran Duran)- very enjoyable! Stephan provided outstanding service.
We always enjoy the atmosphere and food selections at Lighthouse Sound.
Food was okay could be better especially the fish service was just okay
Went to celebrate an anniversary. Read the reviews and based on the favorable reviews. We were quite disappointed over the food. First of all I ordered a house salad along with an entree of the chicken Marsala. The salad and the entree came together which I declined. The chicken was extremely dry. The manager and the waiter did everything possible to make our evening enjoyable. Unfortunately after the error with the salad then the dry chicken the evening was not what we expected.
I made reservations a week prior to our visit to Ocean City from Virginia Beach for Valentines weekend and was able to secure a short notice dinner reservation for Valentines Day at 8PM. We were seated by the window which was very nice and special and private. The amibiance of the restaurant was amazing and classy, the service and the food was outstanding. Great place for weddings and event, romantic date nights etc. Also the hostess and all staff bartenders wait staff were very nice and cheerful. Will definitely revisit when we go back up!
Food and service was excellent with a great view.
Based on excellent OpenTable reviews, we selected this restaurant to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. We were not disappointed. Our table had a great view, table service and restaurant staff were superb, and the seafood was cooked to perfection. A roaring fireplace added to the wonderful ambiance. We'll be back for future Anniversaries.
Wonderful experience! As a gluten free, vegetarian they even had something on the menu for me to order and it was delicious. They have a $69 special - a house bottle of wine, an app or dessert and a nice selection of entrees. Would consider trying another time.
The food. The dessert. The view over the water and Ocean City skyline. The ambiance inside the restaurant. The service. All were spectacular.
The dining area tables were nicely spaced so that you could actually hear each other even if the restaurant was full. A large fireplace added to the overall warmth and feel of the room. The service was spectacular.
My wife and I had come here for our 16th wedding anniversary and really didn't know quite what to expect. We were blown away by how nice it was and the pricing was reasonable. There is no question that we'll be back.
We enjoyed dining here over 5 years ago and wanted to try it again while we were chilling at the beach in January. We made reservation via Open Table and were only 1 of 2 parties in the restaurant area one Saturday night! However, the bar area was very lively. The food did not dissappoint! The Lobster Bisque ($9) was fantastic! Lots of chunk lobster meat. My wife and I really enjoyed the Seafood Pasta ($29) as well, shrimp, scallops and crab meat in a white wine sauce with linguine. We accompanied our meals with a glass of wine ($8/ea) and finished by sharing a Chocolate Brownie Sundae ($7). Our server, Stephen, was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Lots of free parking out front of the clubhouse. We'll definitely come back in the summer!
Not in main dining room which was very disappointing!
Service was outstanding!
Excellent service food and view, good portion size
