Well kept. Nice decor. Okay food.
Very condensed menu due to Covid. Need to advertise menu on website to give people a heads up.
You can not ask for a more enjoyable night out. Nautical decor, comfortable seating inside and out, and a staff that goes out of their way to serve. The Manager is active at every turn from running food to checking on customers herself. Faro Blanco's Lighthouse Grill offers wonderful appetizers like the flavorful Cuban Rice Balls and my favorite, the hummus/pita bread platter. From the Prime Rib (signature special) to the fresh options with locally acquired seafood, it just does not get much better than this. I have had the grilled Yellowtail and the Grilled Hogfish over the fresh Caesar (with anchovies) salad on multiple occasions and this is an incredible meal. The can pair meals with assorted wines or several craft beer options. Finish it off with their Key Lime pie which has a really delicious buttery crust!
Was very disappointed with our dinner. Came for thenPrime Rib and it was so tough it was inedible. I am not one to complain but when I did I got a very disinterested response from our waitress and a full bill! We paid but will not be back! Visit on 7/30 @ 7pm with reservations!!!
Every year we return and food is always great.
Good service and great view. Would have liked to have better food selection but with COVID, totally understand. Great place to go have a drink and appetizers.
Everything was good ... just miss your early specials 1999 for locals and miss not having bread as it make time go by faster ... but cleanness and waiter was excellent... seating arrangement felt very safe to dine at your restaurant as a local we have few that make you feel that way .... thank you
Menu was too small. I know we shorten things up in these times, but that left little to be excited about. Great service and setting.
Service was horrible. Drinks were weak. Fish was so salty we could not eat it.
Excellent dinner and service. Very good social distancing. Our server was terrific!
Food was terrible. Service was okay. View of the pool was unappetizing - lots of young people in skimpy bikinis making out and partying body to body during COVID quarantine. Hostess checked us in then told us to wait at the bar 3 minutes while the table was cleaned off. We ordered a drink and waited 10 minutes then sought out the hostess and she asked if we had a reservation... completely forgot we were there waiting for our table. Definitely wouldn’t go back.
Had a very limited menu. I get that due to the COVID situation but change your menu on your website to reflect that !
Went there in a recommendation. Did great social distancing and cleanliness. Food was ok. Good fish dip. Hogfish was the special which we had. It was overcooked in the blackened style so it was very dry. We also got it pan fried which was moist. Sides were uneventful.
We have eaten at this establishment many times, but last night was a little off. Hogfish was a bit dry or overcooked. Scallop entree was delicious but brought separately when the rest of our party was half finished. Waiter was very good and it was a kitchen problem. Our past experiences have been very good, so we will return.
The service was great. We ordered the Cuban sandwich as the main dish and the shrimp gazpacho for the appetizer. Both were awesome.
Chris was an excellent waiter and even though the menu is limited it was still a great experience
We understand that because of Covid restaurants are cautious. But the restaurant was pretty empty and the service was not good at all. I had to flag down another waiter because our was not around much. We wanted water. The other waiter completely ignored us. Finally we saw what looked like a manager and had to ask her for water. The watermelon salad was about 99% watermelon and 10% the rest of the ingredients that are supposed to be included. The fish was supposed to be fresh but it was a little fishy. None of us were impressed with the food or service and will not be returning. They should have done a better job at trying to keep customers especially in times like these.
Lighthouse Grill-Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club is one of our destination spots. We come from Miami specifically to stay at the Hyatt Place and Faro grounds near our friends in Big Pine so that we can eat outside at the grill. We couldn't get an outside table on our recent trip but that's my fault for not requesting ahead. Lovely visit. Looking forward to returning.
Everything aside from the view was mediocre. The staff was not very attentive and seemed to be annoyed by questions about the food. The burger was burned to a crisp on one side. My prime rib was very bland.
Excellent food and presentation
I went there for father's day, our waitress was Melissa and she treated us like family!
We were excited to dine at the Lighthouse and made reservations.
When we arrived we noticed the restaurant empty. They sat us outside and handed us the menu. It looked like a lunch menu so I asked for the dinner menu and was told that is the menu now. No mushroom risotto, lamb or prime rib. One choice of fish dinner or a filet that’s it. Unless you want a sandwich or appetizer. Very disappointed.
Great service and tasty food. I really love their scallops.
No early bird even though we called ahead to see if it was still offered. The answer was yes but when we arrived the answer was no. Menu is barebones and all sandwiches or salads with one fresh fish and prime rib offered. That’s it! No bread or salad with our $30 meals. No salt and pepper, you have to ask for it. Since we were celebrating our anniversary we got the Key Lime pie which pre-pandemic was fantastic. We were served a frozen store bought Sara Lee variety and was highly disappointed. Sadly this use to be my favorite place for a great meal but it is not worth the money at this time.
When someone goes to the Key's they usually want seafood. The only seafood was gazpacho with shrimp. There was only one fish, beef and chicken entree and the rest were burgers and sandwiches.
I ordered the Prime Rib. It was very tough. I understand that they have just reopened, but, the quality and service were terrible.
So disappointed in the limited menu. Two items for dinner, really? Will not return until they have more than 2 dinner entrees. So very sad! Used to be my favorite place.
No dinner items except for prime rib and one fish dish. No happy hour! No early bird specials. Very horrible!!!!
Awesome vibe, beautiful restaurant. Food was very good, wine was excellent, but our order came out incorrectly. Server made up for it by offering free dessert, which was nice. Overall, loved it!
great service, amazing food, and perfect view. Will be defiently be back
Our all time favorite restaurant in the Keys. This was their first night back open after being closed for 2 months due to the Corona Virus shutdown. The tables were wide apart, the wait staff and reception were all wearing masks. We were thrilled to be there and to enjoy the atmosphere and great food. The menu, while abbreviated, was full of tasty choices. We had the smoked fish dip as an appetizer. . . delicious. We had the prime rib with garlic smashed potatoes and asparagus. Yum. We'll be back soon!
We are locals and love the Lighthouse Grill, our favorite place in Marathon. Can’t wait for the full menu, missing the scallops. Thank you for a great dinner, as always!!!!!
Good meal and location
Happy hour is great. The food was delicious, service was outstanding and you can’t beat the view of the marina and lighthouse.
Good food ... Great view ... Really enjoyed the hightop tables and view of the marina
DO NOT SIT AT TABLE 57 if you are there any time near sundown. Sun is blinding, everyone had to sit on the same side of the table. Manager said it happens all the time, especially during certain times of the year. All they need to do was put a Sun blocking curtain up for the hour that this affects people. You’re only there for dinner for maybe 2 hours or so, shouldn’t have to spend half of it unable to speak to your dinner companions.I can’t imagine we are the first people to complain. There are many places to have a really nice dinner in Marathon, maybe try someplace where the manager gives a crap.
Nice place and great early bird menu. Will go back
Good service, good food and great views! If you like a water view and sunsets this is your place
Singer too loud during dinner. Ask to turn down did not happen
Added 4 friends to our reservation at last minute. Great waitress. Took care of our every need. Food was excellent as always. Curtains were down because it was a cold windy day making very comfortable temperature.
Nothing like it in the area. It's our go place when we want to relax and be pampered. Prime rib is tender and flavorful prepared with a dry rub of herbs. The tuna steak cooked perfectly pared with bok choy an potatoes. Overlooking the beautiful Gulf if Mexico through palm trees and a marina, the atmosphere is sublime. The waitress (Rachael) remembered our drink order from our last visit and took perfect care of our meal. We'll be back soon.
