   Way overpriced, very uneven quality of ingredients and preparation. Lovely wait staff, however good service of bad food doesn’t equal a great dining experience.

   Food was excellent, portions were very small. Crabcakes were delicious but very small. Calamari plate was full. Three scallops for that price was not good. Should be at least five. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly so we had one fish and chips, one calamari, two orders of crabcakes one filet mignon two orders of scallops and the price was $270 which is way over the top for the amount of food we got Ambience was nice. Service was most excellent. My issue is with price and food quantity, not quality.

   Loved our waitress! We ate outside. Didn’t catch her name though. Tall , young blonde girl. She was amazing. She handled the whole patio of tables herself. So sweet and friendly. Did not miss any thing for everyone!

   The restaurant has an excellent location and beautiful views. The food is quite nice. And although the service staff is very friendly, the service is very slow. It was never busy in all the times we were there (we stayed in the hotel). But we ate there three times and each time it was slow. I couldn't say how long it took the food to come out, but in each case I had finished eating before anyone came back to ask about the food. We were not in a hurry, so it was not a disaster, but you definitely don't want to eat here if you need a quick turn. I noticed another table taking their food to go because it took so long to be served. And we had an item removed from our bill because it was so slow ( and that was their initiative- I hadn't said anything). Something needs to change. If they were actually busy it would have been a nightmare.

   The food was amazing and my steak was like butter!!! The server Adam was incredible and always coming to check on us on how were were doing. Adam and everyone were very friendly! I will definitely go back again!

   We decided to have an early drinks and dinner. Our server was very knowledgeable of the house drinks and chef specials. She checked with us on a regular basis to make sure everything was as we expected. My wife had the porkchop which was extremely tender and flavorful. I had the Wagu steak that was so tender a regular bread knife could cut it. Overall, we had a great experience.

   The brunch offered a wide variety of food however the salmon was dry and there were no gluten free options other than an omelet and fruit. Everything else was either potentially contaminated or questionable. There were several dessert options but not a single one was gluten free. It would have been nice to at least have one option.

    Delicious yet smallish main courses/portions with creative ingredient selections married nicely and presented artistically. We had a great time and our server, Maureen, was friendly,‘attentive and helpful. She definitely upped the total experience of the already excellent creations being made in the kitchen! We were celebrating a milestone birthday and would happily return for future celebrations!!

    Food here is not cohesive or aesthetically appealing. It all sounds interesting on the menu but the flavors dont work together. Eating out by the water is a great experience but I would just do wine next time.

    The lamb shank dinner was horrible. A tiny scoop of minced lamb in a bowl of heavily salted sauce with mushy greens and six gnocchi. Awful. I told the waitress, who was wonderful the entire evening, and she took the $50+ Dish off our bill and informed the chef. Also. Be aware that 6oz of wine…. $18. My husband had the halibut special which he said was overcooked and also overpriced but he still liked it so we didn’t complain. We had wanted to try this place for sometime. We won’t be back simply because it’s way out of our dinner budget. If it had been spectacular food, then yes, a second excursion would be in order. But this? Never again. There are too many good restaurants in Bellingham we can enjoy. The two stars was for our waitress. That’s it.

    Has become our favourite spot, the chef is absolutely brilliant. The menu selection is great. We love the Beef Tartare (Kelly) edition 😉) Maureen our server is the best!

    We’ve been here a number of times and had tasty meals. So yes give it a try. Tonight was not that great: too much blah dressing on our Caesar salad, over cooked salmon, the fries were oily and bunched together—a sign the oil needs to be cleaned. When ordering salmon, it is a good idea to ask, “Does fresh mean freshly frozen?” Often, if frozen it will taste fishy if not thawed and cooked properly. Maybe that’s why many restaurants offer blackened seafood, then it just tastes like seasoning 😂

    Very overpriced for mediocre food. The waitress was very nice and made our visit more enjoyable. Our table was in full sunlight and even with the see through blind pulled down my husband had to move his chair to the side of a very small table for two. Our plates were touching.     It was our 55th wedding anniversary celebration, 6 of us total. In my reservation I requested a round table in a quiet space. GOT IT! Service was impeccable . . . cannot recall the name of the waiter, but he readily let us set the pace, we were there from 5:30 until 9:00. Same waiter professionally guided us through the menu questions, and BTW, the menu is so diverse, so tasty, so exquisitely prepared and plated. WOW!

    Everything was great. Only feedback is that it was a little tight for walking space and we kept getting bumped by people trying to squeeze through to the bar. It's a small venue, so hard to change much, but better access to the bar might help. Thank you for the great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Cheers

    Great view of the water from our window. We started off with the calamari which was very good. The dipping sauce was a little bland but we finished them off. I had a brown of clam chowder and an order of crab cakes. Both very good and the sauce delicious. Amy was our server and did a great job. Very friendly and attentive.

    We had a wonderful meal! Starting with the appetizer which was a scallops that my date (wife) and I shared. My date had the steak tartare as her main course. Wonderful! I had the pork belly it was awesome. Our sever was just a perfect host. And great experience all in all. The chef made the effort to make sure my date, who is celiac was accommodated.

    We went to The Lighthouse for Valentines Day. We originally had an 8pm reservation but they were able to get us in at 7pm even though they were incredibly busy. We really appreciated the accommodation and flexibility, the hostesses and servers were super friendly and the food was delicious!

    Drove up from Seattle to meet my father/his SO at The Lighthouse w/my wife for dinner. Great appetizers, my steak was perfect and several who had salmon loved theirs, too. Service was wonderful and the view and ambiance next to Bellingham Bay was excellent! Really enjoyed our visit…and our night at The Bellwether Hotel also!

    The food has generally been good but not great. The service has been very good however for New Years Eve we were placed at a table with very bright lighting while the other 8 tables in the room had nice ambient light, it was uncomfortable.

    I ordered Sea Food Paella “$42”, it was over cooked and had to cut my 2 shrimp with a knife. Rice was over done and soggy. Had about a tsp worth of sausage and had 4 muscles that was probably the only thing that wasn't over done. Wife had fish and chips, fish breading was doughy and only had about half of a cup worth of fries. And don't forget the tablespoon of coleslaw!

    When we were seated we were told by the hostess she didn't know who our server was but someone would help us......it took forever for someone to take our drink order and at least another 15 minutes for a waiter to show up. The food arrived 30 minutes later......the slider buns were so soggy they couldn't be eaten. Pickles on them looked like someone had taken a bite out of the middle of them. Three people had the fish and they said it tasted off. While there were people working there we were ignored. No one ever asked how our food was, if we needed anything or if we wanted our drinks refreshed. The waiter finally showed up again 20 minutes after we were all done eating with a single bill for four people. He never asked if we wanted separate checks nor did he clear anything off the table. One of us finally left the table asked the hostess for separate checks. Our table was still full of dirty dishes when we left. There were only about four tables with diners at them the whole time we were there.
