About Lido

Lido’s menu is Northern Italian. The menu can be described as fresh, simple, and delicious. Flavors are layered so that each one stands out but does not compete with others in the dish.

The food is organic and local whenever possible and all poultry and meats are from farms that treat animals humanely.

The ambiance is modish but relaxed. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Loved this place. Went for a dinner with my daughter and friend and all 3 of us had a great meal and delicious cocktails. The lighting and ambience are so festive and cosy. The crowd was a lovely mix of ages, genders, race, etc. Felt like the perfect place to be. Staff were all so friendly and on top of things.

If the seating had not been so horribly cramped, it would have been perfect. Spaghetti with veal meatballs with fresh basil was a bit of heaven.

A Neighborhood Gem that Still Sparkles
Although I failed to change the default table for two, to a table for three when making our reservation, we were graciously accommodated at a comfortable table. We started with all the (delicious, of course) fried primi: calamari, polenta sticks and cod fritters. Great pasta (gnocchi, spaghetti & veal meatballs) and salad (arugula with shrimp) left no space for secondi, but we were happy to have squeezed in our divine desserts: gelato, budino and a chestnut special.

Lido is my go to place for special occasions and celebrations in my neighborhood. This visit, the staff was so wonderful in helping me plan a special surprise for my brother and sister-in-law who were married the night before! I brought a cake and a special decoration to the restaurant prior to our reservation. They added a candle to the cake, added the decoration and brought it to our table - such a happy surprise for the newlyweds. I love this place ... for a Peroni and meatballs at the bar after work or a gathering of friends. The food never disappoints and the waitstaff, bartenders and managers are always concerned for your comfort and satisfaction.

A favourite of mine. Exec Chef Serena Bass makes divine salmon, Tuscan tart, gnocchi, burger.....i could go on and on. Particularly, I adore her chocolate budino. A slight wash of olive oil and sprinkle of sea salt finished it off. You and your table mates will finish it off ...... so quickly. Try it. You'll love it. Make sure to leave a budino for me!

It's expensive for what you get. We were three people, ordered a (nice but nothing out of the ordinary) bottle of wine for the 3 of us, 2 appetizers, 3 main dishes and 1 desert and ended up paying 70 bucks per head.
You can't really share any of the dishes because they are not copious, and the food is good, but not of such an extraordinary quality that would merit shedding so much money for a casual dinner. I guess Harlem is becoming an expensive neighborhood for dining.

We love Lido! We love their seasonal menu and great wait staff! The chef occasionally comes around and visits the tables and it’s all so “grown up”! Rarely are there loud or raucous groups like other neighborhood restaurants........., not that I have a problem with a fun crown, I just prefer a quieter setting for lunch or dinner! Lido is always a win/win for me, always a hit, never a miss!

I like the restaurant and have been here before. However, the noise level is such that yelling is the only option. This time I sat in the corner at the bar, and that worked out because I was with someone who also likes sitting at the bar. If we had had to sit at a table, we would have left.

We tried a few different dishes for brunch. Pancakes were great. French toast was yummy--made with French baguettes. Braised short rib hash with poached eggs was amazing. Definitely recommend brunch with bottomless mimosas.

The food was fair. You could tell the ingredients were fresh, but the dishes lacked flavor. Salt, pepper and whatever you could dig up was definitely needed to season the food. The service was prompt and the friendly.

Reasonably priced with good happy hour cocktails, very nice service staff, food was OK not exceptionally fresh or flavorful. The restaurant was busy, ran out of the special and did not have enough wine glasses or bread plates for our table.

Had brunch for the first time there today. Creamy garlic parmesan bread was the absolute best.
Food:
Braised short rib hash and spicy sausage omlette. Both were very good but my food was cold. My bf had bottomless mimosas and i had their bellini. Very tasty.
They have an open kitchen in the back, they should really serve all their dishes on warmed plates. Note to chef: warm those plates up its cold out now. Noticed many reviews on yelp about food being cold. They should take heed of other reviews and get that taken care of. No one likes cold food.
Will be back and try something else but def ordering the bread.
I would suggest making reservations. We walked right in. It was super busy.

Fun brunch experience! It was busy and live(all the ingredients that make a good brunch)! Plus the mimosas were truly unlimited... at a certain point I had to ask them to stop pouring, which never happens!

I love Lido. Our server was phenomenal, the food (as always) was delicious. My only frustration from our most recent visit was the fact the hostess came to our table and basically told us to leave, that there was another reservation coming in and they needed us to go. This is not the first time this has happened to us at Lido either.

Here's my gripe: I had ordered the bottomless mimosa (two hour limit). In this instance she came to our table and told us to leave after we had been there an hour and a half. Okay... yes, we were having a long friend catch up but ordered a lot and weren't done with OUR reservation.

So... I would recommend the restaurant put a 90 minute limit on brunch reservations if they need to resort to kicking customers out so the expectation is set. I would also recommend a host/hostess approach a situation like this with a better solution such as "Ladies, could we potentially find you spots at the bar?" rather than just telling customers to leave. Love this place, love the chef, I generally have great experiences there, but whoa... Sunday Brunch diplomacy may need some tweaking.
