The food is organic and local whenever possible and all poultry and meats are from farms that treat animals humanely.
The ambiance is modish but relaxed. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Upscale W. Harlem dining.
I'm a broken record about Lido - our home away from home. Everything, as always, was great.
Was at the restaurant about a year ago and really enjoyed it. Not so much this time. Empty but service was mediocre at best. Chicken burger was supposed to have a slaw with it; about a teaspoon. Alas.
Great service! Great food! Brussel sprouts were my favorite. The server was awesome!
I went to Lido with some friends. We were greeted so nicely, and the waiter was very attentive. the food was delicious, fresh and hot. They let us linger there for a long time and we had such a nice evening. The atmosphere is quite nice. The veal meatballs were fantastic as well as the bread pudding for dessert. I would definitely return.
The food is very good.
This is a good neighborhood spot. We had no trouble making reservations, and were given a table in a heated outdoor area. The service was ok - but very short. We were disappointed that some past items we came to enjoy were no loner on the menu. I was disappointed with the black ink linguini - very saucy, little soggy - not much seafood. My wife enjoyed her chicken dish better.
Great neighborhood Italian. Food is tasty and good. Portions are good sized. The kale salad is excellent. Calamari is done perfectly. Entrees are quite good as well. Love that the kitchen is flexible with choices. Wine selection is ok. Could use some beefing up with some new varietals but that may just be my personal taste. Service is pretty prompt and am usually seated immediately. It gets busy on evenings and has a lively bar area. I go all the time because service is always consistent which is important to me. I dont always want the newest latest gastro pub experience and Lido fits the bill nicely for good, lively, tasty italian with plenty of seats and a nice neighborhood scene.
It is a good restaurant to have in Harlem. I like the inside, it is warm with no pretention. Now, If we compare the quality of the food to the price, it is overpriced. Also the dessert (bread pudding) was quite disappointing.
Enjoyed the meal, the staff + service could've been handled differently. The hostess brought our check before we could finish the bottle of wine we order and didn't care to acknowledge the fact that we wanted dessert + coffee. At which point I became upset over this small notion. We ended up ordering two espresso's after our meal and skipping dessert for fear of being rushed into consuming that as well. For my second time visiting I was disappointed again with the service of your staff. Perhaps having a portion of tables open saved for walk-ins could prevent this next time. Probably won't visit again, if there is one thing about dining out it's all about the EXPERIENCE and mines has been tainted.
Extremely expensive for the quality of food we received. Dishes came without listed ingredients and were haphazardly plated.
Great neighborhood restaurant with friendly atmosphere and great food! Always a good choice!
The food was delicious and the service excellent. Can be a bit noisy, but overall very, very good!
The deserts were excellent
Our favorite place to dine!!
I've been to Lido a few times and it's a great restaurant. On my most recent visit, unfortunately right as I started eating I found a hair in my food. The server was very apologetic and I got a new plate relatively quickly. I was disappointed, however, that nothing other than a "sorry" was offered to make up for such a gross occurrence.
Food was excellent, and service was good. Will definitely dine there again
Got to the restaurant early for my reservation was sat by the hostess immediately in a L space corners space which was fine the restaurant was empty however moments later a group came in and the hostess sat them right next to me and my guess boxing us in to the corner. The waiters couldn't reach us they were afraid to come by because they would knock into the two dinner parties that were sitting next to us so the service ended up being poor. I had to get up and reach for my food from the waiter over the other poor dinner parties heads. I had to get up and reach for my drinks from the waiter they didn't come to my table because we were boxed in which ruined the experiance. I wasn't compensated for any of the inconvenience not that I was expecting it but i would have been nice but this is and a cheap restaurant on either. I had to get out of my seat to grab the dinner from the waiter really. Dinner for 2 cost me $200 then the Food was mediocre at best the service was poor, the hostess had poor judgement and the seating arrangment was asinine.
On a rainy Tuesday night in January, Lido was filled mostly with young, attractive neighborhood people both dining and at the bar. The vibe is exciting, and the food is wonderful- beautifully prepared and presented. Much of the menu is rich, but it's well worth the food splurge. Also a very nice wine and bar selection. The service is friendly and professional, and Lido is well worth the visit.
Food was great and dessert was the best part 😍
Always a pleasure to be at Lido. They get everything right.
Great dinner with friends. Sit away from the bar if you want to have a conversation.
Service was perfect as was the pacing of courses. Every dish we had was delicious.
Went during restaurant week, but would def go again for the gnocchi! Food was awesome and drinks were well made. A great date spot!
I went for lunch and had a delicious spaghettini with Arrabiata. Service was very friendly and the place was very cute. I would definitely go again.
We keep coming back even though we live across the bridge. We love how comfortable Lido is and the food never disappoints. It feels like "our neighborhood" place.
Lido is my favorite brunch spot. I have been coming here for 5 years. The food is good, the service is good. The mimosas stay flowing. I always recommends Lido to friends & family.
super cozy. Great food. Good wine selection. Nice neighborhood spot for dinner w friends or a casual date
Their bottomless brunch is probably the highlight of this restaurant. I was only upset when I called the restaurant to ask if they served steak and eggs for brunch and the hostess informed me that they do but when we sat down for our reservation we were told otherwise. This place does not carry steak on their menu. My bf ended up ordering meatball pasta and he enjoyed every bite so I guess that makes up for it but please next time make sure your staff knows the menu.
Waiter was brusque with me when I was asking about gluten and dairy-free options.
Lido is one of those neighborhood restaurants that you want to eat at even if you're not in the neighborhood. It's been consistently good since it opened. Italian food that's not stuck in a rut, but isn't too fussy either. Great salads, pastas, and good wine that's not over-the-top pricey. I had the muscles with white beans and red sauce and the muscles were tender and not too large, just the right size. You can be healthy or decadent, or somewhere in between, and have a great meal.
Overall my experience was great. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The food wasn't the best I've had but satisfactory for boozy brunch. Mimosas are more bubbly than OJ which is always appreciated. The restaurant is cozy and clean. They originally tried to tell us we met our 2 hour time limit after just one hour but I was able to give notice to the hostess who quickly corrected the problem. Seemed a little suspect since we did have a 12:45 reservation and time was called at 1:45 pm instead of 2:45 pm so my advice would be to pay attention to when your brunch begins to avoid being cut short.
Attentive wait staff
Noise in main room is a challenge, but the atrium is terrific. Food is first rate.
Food was excellent and service was great! Lighting was nice, all round very nice dinner
Good food albeit being a little expensive if you intend on buying a three course meal. Good food, a bit spicy, but well served portions and a good selection of beverages and dishes. Nice ambient and good overall service.
My husband and I went to Lido on Christmas Eve.
Restaurant is well located in a beautiful part of Harlem. Restaurant was decorated for Christmas, nice jazzy Xmas music (not too loud). Staff was really nice and food was served very fast. Food was really good and portions were generous. Desserts were awesome. We had a great christmas eve dinner far from our family.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner. Beautiful place and great food/drinks.
Not a family friendly establishment and as a result will never come back or recommend. The host asked us to leave the reataurant after our 18 month old screamed (1st time of the night); this while we were putting on our coats to leave after we had paid. She said that we startled her and that her guests think it’s too much for a baby to cry... we asked if anyone complained and she said no. Completely disrespectful host/owner and not worth it for families.
Great food, just need to improve in service, waitress forgot our appetizer and the coffee at the time of the dessert.
Seated in outdoor section which was way too hot plus sun was blinding for person in unfortunate seat.
Food delivered quickly and was good. Mimosa was very good.
Unfortunately they put ice cream on a cookie with the flour less chocolate cake. This order was for a Coeliac. The staff handled it well and didn’t charge us for it but it took away from what was an enjoyable day waiting to see how sick she would be. As she hadn’t eaten it and we were only dealing with cross contamination she wasn’t too bad.
