Lido Bayside Grill at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach Ratings and Reviews
Really really bad. The the waiter was completely confused and clumsy. when pouring the wine, he overturned the whole cup in my brother-in-law and the whole sauce. I ordered a lemonade without ice and he brought me a glass with ice to the brim. just to name a few things. to complete we were taking pictures when an extremely rude gentleman approached us saying that it was forbidden to enter children inside the hotel (I was with my 1 year old daughter). I argued that they should warn this on the site or prohibit reservations with children and he continued to be extremely rude. I swear I do not know why I keep going to this place with so many better ones in Miami. The view is beautiful but the food is lousy and pricey, the service is lousy and all the staff hates kids. In fact, they treat guests' dogs better than the children. What service policy is that ?!
Our family went here for lunch on Christmas Day. We were seated out by the water. The view is spectacular. The service was wonderful, from the hostesses to the wait staff to the bar staff. Unlike so many, many place in SoBe, your meal will not be accompanied by the steady thump thump thump of club beats. It is located at the Standard Hotel, which is very serene. We did not want to leave, which is why we moved over to the bar afterwards. The fish sandwich, fried chicken with salad on top of it, turkey burger and other salads were all superb. It is just great, authentic food without ridiculous bells and whistles, which is so common in trendy restaurants. I highly recommend this place and will definitely go back the next time we are in MB.
The view is great and the vibe is nice. There are beautiful gardens around the restaurant and it's a great choice for outdoor dining. There are many healthy and vegetarian options on the menu. The service; however, can be a little overwhelmed during lunch time when the place is busy. We had like four servers taking care of us, which was nice, but we also had to order a soda four times to get someone to bring it to the table.
Unfortunately when we got the bill back and signed we didn’t realize that they did not return our credit card. AmEx called with fraudulent charges the next day. We go a lot to eat there and we were very disappointed. I wonder how many times this happens nightly as people are distracted upon goodbyes at the end of the evening. Overall I think it’s a good restaurant although this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth!
I always return to the Lido for the view and I really love and recommend it because of that. Unfortunately, to me, the food and service fall short compared to the great view of the Biscayne Bay. That reminds me that the cost benefit is probably not worth it. I'd probably go back only for drinks at the bar.
On the bay, spectacular view. Lovely ambience and crowd.
Branzino and green beans were on the greasy side.
Ceviche with tostones were fantastic!
Octopus was very good!
Service was spotty as it appeared they were short on staff.
Would definitely go again for views, ambience, ceviche and octopus.
Major struggle with the reservation; the company was just difficult and required several phone calls. Also on arrival, they didn’t want to sit our party because it wasn’t complete even though we had a person on crutches and a pregnant woman with us. We actually had to point that out and they
Awesome Restaurant that I will definitely revisit! Great for both a date and business dinner.
A touch disappointing that happy hour was advertised but apparently wasn't available when we were there. Pricing is just a touch too high to make this a location to frequent however the quality of the food made it completely worth it. Martini glasses need to be of higher quality seeing that they cost so much and with the cold weather heaters would have been nice instead of just blankets.
This is an absolutely fantastic place to watch the sunset and have a great date night! All said and done this place is very close to 5 stars and I have just posted the negatives so management can make the appropriate changes.
Went on a Saturday night with my gfriend to celebrate our anniversary. Our experience was very special. The hostess was extremely attentive to us and very kind. The waitress was extremely nice and provided exceptional service. The manager approached to ask if everything was going well. The food was delicious. And the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen in miami. Don’t hesitate to visit Lido.
The Standard Spa, Miami Beach has an very cool location, the view it's unbeatable, I've been going to the bar for sometime now and always enjoy the view for drinks. The food, it's OK, I believe it's a bit overpriced (churrasco) but, for a nice sunset, it's the perfect place.
Good fish, excellent meat, gentle service people. 4th time in the restaurant. It was the last day of our vacation and the sunset was marvellous. I love dining outside with no air condition .... The prices are quite posh, if you take your time and have an appetizer and aperitif, but it is worth remembering the view and the sunset if you have a date or are there with nice people.
Mojito was good, piña colada not so much. Tater tots are hand cut and taste good but lack salt and are a bit on the oily side. Service is terrible, they take too long and are forgetful. I did a reservation and got a table seaside, that was good. Overall, experience was ok but could be better. I wouldn't come back.
We had a reservation at 8:15 pm on the 4th of July, once we arrived there was 2 women on the desk. we told them we had reservation and one of the girls looked at the other one like we were a problem. Then she told us if we could wait for "a few minutes" by the sea and they will send us a message once our table is ready. We went by the sea and waited for 40 minutes for a table we reserved at 8:15pm. When we decided it got little bit late we went by the desk again to ask for our table and the SAME WOMEN THAT ATTEND US SAID THAT SHE WONT REMEMBER US AND OUR RESERVATION!! A little bit angry I explained this 2 women again everything how it did happen and showed them our reservation! And one of them answered me with a very arrogant and rude attitude: sorry I don't think you are on the list. Which I answered very angry saying I had a reservation they did not put me on any list. Finally when they found our reservation, they told us they will find a place for us. Couple minutes later one of this women told us: I have good news I found a table for u corner with great views to the fireworks. A waiter scorted us to a table which was corner yes at the end of the restaurant next to the kitchen with 0 view, which I did not mind what I did not like is the lie from that hostess trying to sell something that obviously wasn't. We ser in the table and there was no plates, no glasses, no forks and knifes..and we were 2 people and the waiter came to ask for the drinks and placed glasses but never placed any other of the things missing or take out the other tablecloths. They brought us the food which we were waiting for half an hour 3 small starters and still had no plates and no forks and knifes!!!!we had to ask for them!! The food quality was horrifying and not only that when we were ordering the food, more then half of the items the waiter said they did not have them!!! We end up paying 160 dollars for artichokes, guacamole, burrata, octopus and shrimps! NEVER COMING BACK!!!!
