Lido Bayside Grill at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach Ratings and Reviews
Went on a Saturday night with my gfriend to celebrate our anniversary. Our experience was very special. The hostess was extremely attentive to us and very kind. The waitress was extremely nice and provided exceptional service. The manager approached to ask if everything was going well. The food was delicious. And the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen in miami. Don’t hesitate to visit Lido.
The Standard Spa, Miami Beach has an very cool location, the view it's unbeatable, I've been going to the bar for sometime now and always enjoy the view for drinks. The food, it's OK, I believe it's a bit overpriced (churrasco) but, for a nice sunset, it's the perfect place.
Good fish, excellent meat, gentle service people. 4th time in the restaurant. It was the last day of our vacation and the sunset was marvellous. I love dining outside with no air condition .... The prices are quite posh, if you take your time and have an appetizer and aperitif, but it is worth remembering the view and the sunset if you have a date or are there with nice people.
Mojito was good, piña colada not so much. Tater tots are hand cut and taste good but lack salt and are a bit on the oily side. Service is terrible, they take too long and are forgetful. I did a reservation and got a table seaside, that was good. Overall, experience was ok but could be better. I wouldn't come back.
We had a reservation at 8:15 pm on the 4th of July, once we arrived there was 2 women on the desk. we told them we had reservation and one of the girls looked at the other one like we were a problem. Then she told us if we could wait for "a few minutes" by the sea and they will send us a message once our table is ready. We went by the sea and waited for 40 minutes for a table we reserved at 8:15pm. When we decided it got little bit late we went by the desk again to ask for our table and the SAME WOMEN THAT ATTEND US SAID THAT SHE WONT REMEMBER US AND OUR RESERVATION!! A little bit angry I explained this 2 women again everything how it did happen and showed them our reservation! And one of them answered me with a very arrogant and rude attitude: sorry I don't think you are on the list. Which I answered very angry saying I had a reservation they did not put me on any list. Finally when they found our reservation, they told us they will find a place for us. Couple minutes later one of this women told us: I have good news I found a table for u corner with great views to the fireworks. A waiter scorted us to a table which was corner yes at the end of the restaurant next to the kitchen with 0 view, which I did not mind what I did not like is the lie from that hostess trying to sell something that obviously wasn't. We ser in the table and there was no plates, no glasses, no forks and knifes..and we were 2 people and the waiter came to ask for the drinks and placed glasses but never placed any other of the things missing or take out the other tablecloths. They brought us the food which we were waiting for half an hour 3 small starters and still had no plates and no forks and knifes!!!!we had to ask for them!! The food quality was horrifying and not only that when we were ordering the food, more then half of the items the waiter said they did not have them!!! We end up paying 160 dollars for artichokes, guacamole, burrata, octopus and shrimps! NEVER COMING BACK!!!!
If you're looking for a laid back environment with views from sitting right next to the water, this is the spot. I would suggest making your reservation ahead of time and asking for a table by the water in the shade. The beef sliders are my favorite menu item.
This place never disappoints. The Standard itself is an amazing space and these guys complement it perfectly. Delicious food, fantastic drinks and outstanding service (which is rare in this city). This is definitely one of our go to, favorite, spots in Miami!
The atmosphere is amazing and the service was excellent. Our server was really sweet. We loved the waterfront dining experience and the restaurant is situated in the Standard Hotel which has a fire pit and dock so we explored that area after dinner. The food was nothing special though. The portions were small and tasted very average. But would still recommend because of the incredible view and service.
The night started out fine. The views are gorgeous (especially at sunset), the specialty cocktails were good (nothing special and quite sweet), and the mussels appetizer was the best I've EVER had (melt-in-your-mouth good). However, here's where the night went wrong: After our cocktails were dropped, we did not see our server for almost an hour. Yep, you read that right: an HOUR. We originally ordered two appetizers (mussels and tuna carpaccio) but the tuna had absolutely no flavor and we planned to order a different appetizer instead. The server never came back for us to order a different appetizer or more drinks. We asked two different bussers to send our server over and he never came. Finally, we asked to speak to a manager by the host stand. While my boyfriend was talking to the manager, the server STILL never came over. After talking to the manager who was very apologetic and asked if we would stay if he took care of us in the form of drinks or appetizers (which we declined), the server brought over the check. The check was for $20, however when he brought back the paid check, we noticed he ran the credit card for $53. I have never had any server try to bait-and-switch like that. If he made a mistake, the least he could have done is mentioned that he accidentally dropped the wrong check at first. At this point, we were completely fed up; it was like a joke. We had been there for over an hour and a half and only had one drink each and one appetizer between the two of us. We asked for the manager again. Fortunately, the manager was very helpful with the situation but the fact is, this should have never happened. My boyfriend and I have both worked in fine dining for a combined 9 years and therefore, we are lenient because we understand that sometimes, you get busy. However, making a table wait almost an hour before they see you again is just ridiculous. Needless to say, we made our way to another restaurant in the Miami area and had a FABULOUS dinner there.
