Open table took my reservation and when I got there the restaurant was closed for a private party. Grrrrr
First time eating this highly rated restaurant’s brunch. Very good overall. Server was friendly and attentive as well as the other staff. It had a good vibe, the upstairs was classy and stylish while the downstairs was more subdued bar style and had its own charm. My date and I really enjoyed the food and ambience. Not sure why they couldn’t find our OpenTable reservation but glad the cold day helped to ensure we were still sat without other issue. Though there was a problem with another party that came later but I think it worked out organically in the end. All in all we will try again as it’s a staple of Arlington. I also like it because it used to be a Masonic lodge which I also asked the host about and he oblivious to but whatever.
A most excellent meal. Service was impeccable, atmosphere was lively and fun but quiet enough for 8 person table conversation
We’ve always enjoyed Liberty Tavern for their special buffets however this time we were disappointed. The turkey was salty, the potatoes were way to garlicky, and no real solid vegetables, like green beans. The salads were good and the deserts yummy.
We took the family for Thanksgiving and had a memorable event. Service and food was excellent. Manager came out to say hello. Very nice crew!
Good food and great service. Location is very convenient. Parking for free at the Hilton garage off the street is safe and well lighted. Easy access to Interstate and downtown Omaha
The food was noting great, the portions very bad- 4 small pieces of fried octopus 15.00 dlls
Not a good experience
Great time with friends! Loved our waitress
Shooter:)!
It was really good in a pinch while trying to catch the game at TD Ameritrade park across the street.
The place really needs help. They do not offer very many items. My seafood stew I have had before was tasteless and the "seasonal vegetables" were potatoes, peas & carrots. To me they looked frozen. The ribeye was tough but flavorful.
I wish they would revamp this restaurant
Mother's Day brunch was well enjoyed by our party of 7! Our waiter Lance was fantastic and everyone was very accommodating.
Excellent Sunday brunch buffet. Nice to have so much seafood on the buffet. Good service.
We went to the Hilton restaurant for Easter brunch and were so pleased with the wide variety of excellently prepared foods.
Our server was exceptional!
We enjoy the restaurant. Our service has been very good. We were pleasantly surprised how much we have enjoyed this hotel restaurant.
Very very busy due to big event at the arena just across the street, this large hotel restaurant was clearly overwhelmed. Items were forgotten twice despite reminders. The food came out like it had been shoveled onto the plates. The waiter, though pleasant, was not up to the task. The food was disappointing . The manager did come to our table and paid for our drinks in recompense for an overall unpleasant experience.
Good food, nice environment. Great for a pre or post event meal.
Food was fine, most of the people we encountered were very friendly; hostess, busboys, and other servers. Our server was the problem. She was not very friendly, seemed bothered to be there, and we witnessed her rudeness to other patrons and her fellow staff members. It took us over 30 minutes to get our drinks. The food almost came out faster. Everything took really long. In all fairness it was an event night at CenturyLink and many of the horse show attendees and riders came back to the hotel for drinks and food-but being so close would make me think that this isn't unusual and they would be prepared for a big jump in volume. No manager in sight. We weren't in a hurry and would have been more understanding if our server was simply nice.
We were very pleased with the entire experience.
The waitress was very good. - (Danita)
The food was very good. The service was exceptional.
We have made reservations to return. And, we are looking forward to seeing Danita again.
Booked here because it was very close to an event at Century Link. I was concerned that the meal would be very expensive, but it was reasonably priced and quite good. Recommend reservations if there is an event nearby.
Had the brisket and it was fair. Soup was. Itching Special. Caesar salad again was fair. Nice restaurant but nothing special.
The food was just so so. We ate at another restaurant the next night. It was great food and a better price.
We hold our board meetings here and it is perfect. The staff is so accommodating.
Great food, exceptionally slow, slow service. Took 15 mins to get a water, and I had to ask 4 times for it, and once it was gone, they didn't refill it automatically. It wasn't busy either, so not sure what the issue was on their end.
Concentrate on having exceptional service and you have a top notch place to eat.
Jean was awesome!!!!!
It took us an hour to get our food; when the restaurant wasn't busy. They couldn't make a simple Sangria. Our waitress couldn't answer any questions about the food, but said she'd get back to us and left. She never got back to us on the questions. Couldn't give us a drink menu. Overall wasn't a good experience.
Our waitress Tracy was great. The food was average but my family enjoyed our time nonetheless.
Brunch 1 1/2 hrs before a Creighton basketball game. Our waitress was sweet, but totally overwhelmed. Seated 20 min. No menus, no waters. Told her we'd go to the buffet. Were handed the check before we got our waters, coffee or self served the buffet.
Food was good, but they need more staff, especially when they know they're going to be busy (before scheduled events).
The vegetables were not cooked enough. The Brussels sprouts were hard and didn't have much flavor. The same for the acorn squash. Many of the salad side dishes were of the pasta type. I would like to have seen more vegetable options. The meats were very good. The desserts were very good.
Holiday dining: variety was good. Quality of meats/fish was inconsistent. Some very good, others not so much. Vegetable recipes looked appetizing and delicious but brussel sprouts were undercooked and squash was stringy. More variety of vegetable dishes would have been nice also. Mashed potatoes and dressing were very good. Dessert table was well supplied. Quality, variety, and quantity of desserts was very good.
My spouse and I had reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet. It really lived up to the billing! The turkey was moist and well cooked. Our favorite was the dressing and the Turkey gravy. Great flavors. The service was very good and our waitress was both attentive and polite. Finally the variety of the dessert table was really tasty especially the apple pie. We will be back next year and recommend this venue to our friends?
So convenient for work lunches and in the evening before a concert or game at the arena!
Good food. Very friendly and helpful server. Since it is in a hotel, lacks a little ambience. We were the only people in the restaurant, so it was a bit strange. But overall a good experience
We celebrated a quiet anniversary together with a gift certificate from my sister.
This was our first visit to the Hilton's Liberty Tavern. The wait staff was very hospitable and had a warm friendly attitude. Having been our first time to this Sunday Brunch, she explained everything and the food was well prepared with a great presentation. We would definitely recommend to any travelers or as in our case any local residents looking for a downtown Sunday brunch. We made reservations through Open Table but probably did not need them.
Regards,
Omaha Resident
I was not impressed with the portions I received for the price that I paid, as well as the overall taste of the food. I will not be back again. I would recommend having a beverage on their latio, but don't waste your money on the bland over priced food.
Went for an early casual dinner. It was "ok". Don't dream of going back but no big problem. Just 'meh'
Outstanding restaurant for a hotel lobby. We attended the Olympic Swim Trials earlier this week and ended up eating that Liberty the first time as a default due to it's location. We proceeded to eat there 3 more times, twice for dinner and once for lunch, based on our first experience. Highly recommend the Pub Burger to anyone who likes burgers!
We were greeted and thanked by the host. We had two waitresses, obviously one in training, and both very good. Husband ordered a salad which he said was great. He also had a steak and grilled vegetables. The steak was cooked perfectly.
I ordered the Mac and Cheese with short ribs. My dish was excellent and brought half of it home since the portions were so generous. So glad we decided to try this place. It was fantastic!
The place looks great and their patio would be amazing. The food on the other hand was just "eh". Nothing too exciting.
Service was very good and decor is attractive, but the food was only so-so. It's typical hotel fare. My steak was overdone and small, and the prepared food was too salty. (Hint to the cook: there's a salt shaker on the table if I want that much salt, but there's no salt remover, so go light on the salt, please!)
