Chef’s menu consists of classic dishes from our local farms featuring house-made signatures such as buttermilk fried chicken, local beer battered fish & chips, Omaha steaks, shareable dips and a crafted gastro burger menu. The Liberty Libations beverage section naturally pairs with Chef’s creations boasting a 70 bottle wine menu, 10 Beers on Draft and a one-of-kind “old is cool” cocktail list.
The ambiance is relaxed with large booth seating, hard wood floors, candle lit tables all set to a vibrant, classic rock soundtrack. The service team harkens the old Tavern feel with warm, caring hospitality. A private dining room with seating up to 16 is ideal for company meetings to family affairs. The seasonal, outdoor patio with fireplace is an energetic setting for before and after concerts and events.

It was convenient because we were staying at the hotel but the food was just okay. The Pot roast was very tough, but the sides were much better.
The service at Liberty Tavern has improved drastically. Would like to see a more expanded menu for sporting events or at least a change of menu items.
We have dined several times. We have the Passport card and love being able to go to restaurants that take this card. This visit we were told that they were out of the Passport paper work so they could not give us the Passport deal. They said they would take a % off. We accepted but will ask before we go again if we can use our Passport card.
Outstanding pre-concert dinner! The food was delicious and service was spot on even though the restaurant was full. We will definitely dine in this restaurant again before events at the CHI event center next door, it's ultra convenient!
Food is good and the restaurantbia cloae to a concert/event vwnue and conveniently connected to it through a covered skywalk. The noise is excessive and does bot allow you to have a peraonal conversation. If you go to the ta ern on a concert day, there is no way yo be a walk in until the concert os already started. Drinks are average and the wine list is limited.
First timer to Liberty, the staff is amaxing. Truly a good time, good people & good atmosphere. I will recommend to others & I will be going back.
Good value, just the right portions great flavors. We had the Chef’s steak and prawns special and their Fish and Chips entree both were outstanding. Made reservations in advance and would suggest that on a concert night.
Service was fine, food was terrible. Cheeseburger was raw, chicken was cold and raw. We didnt have time to complain, had to leave without eating.
The food is always very good. However, the service is very slow before & after the food. We frequently attend prior to Creighton games & the restaurant always seems to be understaffed. It takes awhile to put in the order, get the food & a long time to get the bill.
Good food. The wait staff can be a bit overwhelmed before a big event at the auditorium but, that’s not their fault. They are very courteous and pleasant.
It was fairly busy with lots of people coming in for a concert at the Holland Center. The service team was quick and efficient as we were able to go to the show on time.
The coffee rubbed filet was outstanding.
We will come again for sure.
We opted for the breakfast buffet before the Creighton game on Sunday, food was under cooked and muffins seemed stall. The staff is always friendly and we enjoy the Liberty Tavern before Creighton Basket ball for a quick burger. I would not recommend the brunch
You need to check the Creighton basketball calendar. With an 11am tip off, 9a to 1030 is going to be swamped. I think our waitress had too many tables without any side help for busing or beverages . The man doing omelets couldn't also fill the buffet... that for about 45 minutes had no eggs or breakfast potatoes. The quality of food isn't the issue, just lack of food or any juices.
I like your location, reservation online system, and food. But honestly, before Creighton events you need more staffing even for supper before evening games. The breakfast buffet the 13th was under staffed or mismanaged.
Excellent service, food and experience! Will definitely be back and bringing everyone along with me!
We are here on New Year’s Eve, fantastic special menu and for such a low cost! We had 4 courses for $25 a person.
On New Year’s Eve, a terrific $25 for course tasting menu was offered. It was absolutely terrific. I opted to pay a little bit extra for the sword fish dish and it was the most unique sword fish dish I had ever had. I loved it! The service was excellent and I feel like I got a great value for my money.
Really enjoyed the evening. Excellent staff, very friendly.
The staff were very courteous, friendly. We ordered and the time to receive our food was decent. I had requested the steak fries with no seasoning (plain) and Ranch dressing on my salad. When my steak came out, which was a perfect medium which is what I like. I ordered medium well but I have noticed there doesn't seem to any restaurants that will cook a steak through. Anyways.... the fries had plenty of seasoning on them. We mentioned the request and the person said they will bring plain ones out right away. When we requested the check so we could make the basketball game in time I noticed they never brought out the fries. She said she would get an order and I could take them out but we were going to a basketball game. I paid the bill and went to the game. I then realized I never received my salad either. Great steak but I left there hungry.
We had a wonderful lunch appointment at Liberty Tavern. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt!
The menu was great and the food was fantastic!
Pork chop was fantastic. Deviled eggs were very good.
Great holiday meal on Thanksgiving. Lots and lots of food, many happy customers, terrific service. Highly recommended.
The food and the selections are excellent. We have requested Jean as our server. She is a delight and makes the occasion very special.
We plan to come back next year. We will try and visit more times dustheap year too.
All the meat was very dry and overcooked, including a burger and pot roast. Food seemed like it had sat under a warmer or was just warmed up for us, not fresh. Fries were good, though, and spinach dip.
The farmer's salad was excellent. It comes with the steak and seafood entrees. We recommend the coffee rub filet. The setting is dark with candle lights. Service very friendly.
The coffee rubbed filet was Outstanding. They feature Omaha steaks. Wine bottle prices are VERY reasonable and it’s a good list.
Enjoyed the salmon and steak entrees. Both were prepared perfectly. Service was quick and personable.
Worst thing: new requirement for spending at least $25 on food ONLY in order to get parking pass. We have come for dinner or lunch before all Creighton basketball games for years. We have decided not to come anymore. There have been a number of changes recently. We did not find any improvements. Personnel are polite, that is it. Food was not what we would prefer. Liked the old menu. So long Liberty Tavern...
The new menu at Libertine Tavern is very good. They feature Omaha steaks (of course they should) and the Chef's Buttermilk Fried Chicken is delicious. We enjoyed the E-Creamery ice cream Trio for Dessert. Can tell they really embrace local products (Brickway beers and spirits featured too), which is very cool.
And VERY Affordable.
A small group met for dinner and to discuss business. The quiet atmosphere was perfect for conversation. The service was slower than anticipated.
This is not a place I would not make a point to go back to, even though I live in the city, but I would recommend it fore something to eat before an even at the CHI arena
We went to Liberty Tavern for restaurant week. They offered $20 fuxed price menu for three courses. I had the pot roast with roasted veggies and mashed potatoes, my husband had the planked salmon. The food was delicious and I would recommend Liberty Tavern for dinner.
We were there for Omaha Restaurant Week. It was an outstanding value with casual yet elegant ambience.
Flatbread was Burnt not just charged on the edges a bit from a pizza oven. Waitress apologized said she’d buy me a glass of wine but forgot it. Not a great experience.
Brought our relatives in from Atlanta and they enjoyed the food and ambience. Compliments to the chef for delicious tasty food and our server was very helpful and attentive.
Service was prompt even though the restaurant was packed. Watress was friendly and gave good recommendations. Everyone at the table (4) loved what they ordered. My husband said the pork chop was the most tender he had ever had. The Asian Shrimp pasta dish was superb. We ordered the Charcutarie board and tomato bisque soup both good, but the board was too small for the meets and cheeses, especially to cut them in order to share as appetizer for the table. Everything else was good. Prices were reasonable.
Service was great! Food was delicious! Friendly staff!
We went for our ten year anniversary and Denita set a table outdoors with flowers and a table cloth and was genuinely warm and excited for us. The chef Kimbler came out to greet us with a special dessert. They both went above and beyond to spice up our special evening we were impressed and couldn't have been any happier!
Not good buffet
